Sting What would you do if...

If you had to choose between following Frodo and Sam, or Merry, Pippin, and the orcs.(lotr)
If you were Gandalf in The Hobbit???(how he kept leaving the company.
If you were Aragorn after you won the battle for Minas Tirith, and deciding whether or not to assault Mordor directly.(lotr)

Answer these or post more "if you weres" or "what ifs"

In answer to the first, I'd go with Frodo and Sam. Call me suicidal, but I would.
If I were Gandalf in the Hobbit, I'd probably to the same as he did and leave those dwarves and the little hairy thing to fend off for themselves
And if I were Aragorn I'd probably sit tight and wait for Sauron to come and get me. That is if I didn't have my magic wand. Then, I'd shout 'Expeliarmus' at him
Ok- now what would you do if you were Eowyn - would you go with the big macho men or stay home and bake cookies? bear in mind that you don't know how the battle is going to end and whether or not you will die.

Of course, none of us actually knows how terrible Mordor and Sauron actually are. Chances are, none of us have ever experienced anything that bad....

I'd have gone after Pippin and Merry, stayed with the dwarves (it was either that or attack Sauron), and bolstered down and waited for the other 7,000 warriors. I would've gone as Dernhelm, though.

Don't call me a coward, call me a conservative

What would you have done?:
Gone with the Fellowship at Rivendell, or stay there and go home? (Pippin and Merry's choice).

And (same question) if you knew what was going to happen to the Shire?

1. Even though I would like to follow Frodo and Sam, I think I would try to save Merry and Pippin first because if Saruman captured them he would find about Frodo's quest and everything would be lost.
2. I haven't read The Hobbit yet, so I can't answer that...
3. This would be a very great responsability... I don't know what decision I would take... Hmmm... I think I would go and fight Sauron's army to give Frodo one last chance to destroy the Ring...

4. If I were Eowyn I would defenetly go to battle... I couldn't stay home and watch how ME is conquered by Sauron. I would fight!!!

5. I would go with the Fellowship...

OK - If you were Sam when he thought he was killed by Shelob, what would you have done?:
a. take the Ring and try to detroy it
b. stay with Frodo
c. try to go back home

If it was me, I'd try to destroy the Ring, after all, there's no way to get home, and if I think that Frodo is dead, what's the point of going after him?

If you were Gríma, would you have ran for Isengard or rode with the King (to either prove your loyalty or backstab him)?

To answer my own questions and those of others, here are my choices:

1.followed merry and pippin

2.woulda stayed with the company a bit more but not all the time.

3.I would assault Mordor to give Frodo another chance to destroy the ring

4.If I was Eowyn I would've gone to battle.

5.I would've gone with the fellowship
(the Shire was fixable, remember??? )

Here are my answers:

1. I would go with Frodo and Sam. I mean, yeah. It's a dangerous journey that I would be really stupid to get myself into. But I don't think I could no go with them. Just thinking of them out there amist all of those orcs and dangers of Mordor makes me want to jump in and save them. I would definitly go with them.

2. I would probably leave like Gandalf did. I have a theory that the reason he did leave was to train Bilbo. If Gandalf was there, Bilbo would have never gotten up the courage to fight the spiders or escape from everone else. And I think he needed that to confront the dragon.

3. I think I would have gone to Mordor. I mean, Frodo and Sam are in there!!!  I would have to help them out some by getting some orcs off of their backs. {so to speak}

4. And if I was Eowen, I would go. If it weren't for her, the witch king would still be alive. And Merry wouldn't have reunited with Pippin so quickly. So for the sake of Merry, Pippin, and really ME, I would go.

5. I would have gone with the Fellowship. I couldn't leave my friends and go home.

6. And as for the shire, I think I still would have gone. Ya know, to help hold off the enemy way back there at Minas Tirith and all. And if it weren't for Merry and Pippin going on this mission...quest...thing, I wonder if they would have had as much courage to get out and fight when they returned to the Shire. Hmmmm....

7. I would have stayed with Frodo. I mean, it was his job to do it. Not Sam. Sam was there to help him get it done, not do it himself. Of course, if while I was staying with Frodo I found out he was really dead  , I would have had to go on to Mt. Doom...for ME. {Due to the fact of elimination of course.}

8. And as for Grima, I would have gone to Isengard. {I'm not getting myself killed by the King's guards.}

OK, here's my answers to the other 2 questions.

6. I would take the Ring (after some hours of thinking) and go to Mount Doom. But, I don't guarantee I would succeed.

7. I would go to Isengard... {It's not my job to kill Theoden and I don't want to be killed... Besides, I'm sure Theoden will be killed in battle    }
