Shield why were there so few dwarfs in the last alliance?

Why do u think there were so few dwarfs in the last alliance because there were dwarfs other than those of Kazad-Dhum.

Not all dwarves were aligned with the "good" forces (HoME 12). I suspect representatives of the dwarves of the Blue and Iron Mountains may have done their part (which would cover 3 or 4 of the dwarven (dwarvish?) lines. JRRT's discussions of the Last Alliance are simply not detailed enough to resolve your question.

The Silmarillion says that only Dwarves of Kazak Dum took part I wonder why the dwarves who weren't allied with Sauron didn't take part

Maybe it could be because Dwarves rarely fought on either side and only if there was an immediate and certain threat would they participate in battle. This is seen in Silm. when dwarves wouldn't even help other dwarves.
In the case where the dwarves of Moria were allied with the elves of Hollin, it seemed necessary for them to fight since their kingdoms bordered each other and war directly affected them. Now even if there were other dwarve kingdoms allied with the elves they might not have been directly affected by the war(at first) and therefore did not partake in it.
