I'm so sorry, Estelyn, since I'm one of those most guilty of that crime. But I can assure you it's nothing inappropriate, only a plan to take over the Downs
I understand the rule though and will henceforth keep from posting in this offending manner. We must respevt our lovely moderators, what would the world look like if we didn't? This might be the wrong place for this question, but is it allowed in signatures? Good to use as a kind of injoke between people. And Rune actually I would have guessed for Marx. I didn't know I knew what he looked like, but obviously it was somewhere deep down in my subconcious. I'm eagerly awaiting the day when we will see a picture of the true Rune. But you do have a giant beard, don't you?

As I said, as long as signatures are limited to quotes that are not too difficult to understand or can be looked up, they're no problem.

bilbo_baggins' avatar is purely amazing. i love it!
and, yes, rune is definetly karl marx. that is scary. it is funny, has anyone ever looked at someone's avatar misinterpreted it. i thought calian's avatar was a wizard for the longest time. it kind of does if you think of teh blue swoosh deal as a hat, and the trail from teh butterfly as an arm...maybe not. i also mixed up spawn's avatar. i never really looked at it to closely, and so kind of surprised to find it was gollum...

I saw Morai's new avvie today. It's quite fascinating. It really isn't very beautiful or nice, but it's interesting. (This is not intended to insult Morai or the avvie, but to describe the speciality of the avvie.) I suppose it's not "just a pic", and it's related to something; but to what, I don't know.

I like Wilwa's avvie, which now combines her previous avvies. It's very pretty and wilwaish.
P.S. Sorry for double-posting, but it's been few days from the previous post.

Thank you Thin!
I would just like everyone to know that it was Oromin who made this lovely avvie for me. Let's all give her a round of applause, shall we? *starts clapping*

So, I'm glancing down the reputation rankings just now and what to my wondering eyes should appear but...
this I have to nominate this as being the most appropriate avatar on the Downs on a number of levels.

I've changed my avatar to a picture drawn by Encaitare - she combined my RL image with that of Princess Fiona from Shrek in this cartoon; the picture has been dubbed 'Fionelyn'. Thanks, Enca, not only for the picture, but also for cutting and resizing it for use as an avatar! Oh, and for even making the background my favourite colour - you really notice details!

Well, I must say that it feels right to have SpM Avvie back to normal. I loved the last two but this one is and always will be Saucepan, for me anyway.

Since Rune beat me to seconding it I will third it. As incredibly boring as it may be to have three straight posts all on the same avatar I like it to well to break the string.

Kuruharan's new avatar is interesting being that I don't believe it to be a dwarf. I do enjoy it however.

It was my first avatar. I had it for, oh, maybe eight months? I didn't even have it until about a year ago. I believe that I switched it just a little before you came.

I'm quite delighted that Sleepy switched back to Obi-wan, he's much more sympathic than the one he had before...
