8/ They are related - Maeglin, the betrayer of Gondolin, was the son of Eol, the forger of Anglachel/Gurthang.

9/ Who was Legolas' Grandfather, how/where did he die?

10/ Who were the two named Rangers of Ithlien with Faramir?

Two easy questions to finish off this round.

9/ Oropher. He was slain in the Battle of Dagorlad, while leading a joint force of Elves from Greenwood and Lorien.

10/ Mablung and Damrod.

Edit: In case you need more, "Oropher was slain in the first assault upon Mordor, rushing forward at the head of his most doughty warriors before Gil-Galad had given the signal for the advance" (impetuous fool ).

Oh good. I've not had a go at this one yet. Now, for a question ...

The original name for Finrod was Inglor Felagund, so Sophia is correct.

2) What was believed to be in Mim's sack?

No it's not, Felagund was a name given to him by the Dwarves, meaning cave-hewer, because he excavated Nargothrond.

I meant the original name given to the character by Tolkien. In footnote 20 to the History of Galadriel and Celeborn in the UT Christopher Tolkien states:

Quote:
Before the revised edition of Lord of the Rings was published in 1966 my father changed Finrod to Finarfin, while his son Felagund, previously called Inglor Felagund, became Finrod Felagund.

From the footnotes of Narn i Hin Hurin:
Quote:
The mystery of the other things in Mim's sack is not explained. The only other statement on the subject is a hastily scribbled note, which suggests that they were ingots of gold disguised as roots, and refers to Mim seeking "for old treasures of a dwarf-house near the 'flat stones'"
Possibly Gold, then, but in the long run it's uncertain.
