That's why it wasn't makeing sense! You used the later word for Sterrendei!

Which means the word is Yesterday, which was basicly Monday.

Well, it's about time!

Now, it's not suprising the fast, red firetruck was so expensive. The new models run at least into the quarter of a million dollars! Hopefully it will keep the firemen safe, especially the fire marshall.

Hehe! That surely must be Fastred, a Knight of Rohan who fell at the Pelennor Fields.

Question

Of Physics, he knew zero. Handing in his Mathematics homework was like torture. And Physics, he never studied or aspired to study. But he had always been interested in the study of History. He found the patterns of the migrations of people over the Ages fascinating, and experienced a great thrill every time that he traced the rise and fall of old Empires. And most of all, he delighted in seeking to understand the tactics and methods employed in the numerous Battles that had been fought throughout History.

There are three words in there, and they are related.

But clearly not for you, pio. Well done, that is correct.

I have to tell you I was delighted to be knocked down by an award-winning quizzer!

Also was delighted to find a words-in-words that was place name oriented (I have a great fondness for geography and perusing maps).

Will post a puzzler soon.

There are three words, here, and a dead give away, to boot:
_____________________________________________

Being very fond of trains, I once took the Far Northern Line from Oregon, into Canada, and across the continent – passing from English to French, and back again, in a matter of days. The Bar Car became my usual haunt, and I sought out it out on a daily basis, liking to watch the landscape roll by as I sipped an exquisite concoction called The Flying Dutchman. I asked for the recipe on my last day aboard, and the Jamaican server flashed his gleaming smile, in response. ‘I’ll ask the chief ta instruct ya, ma’am,’ he said hurriedly. Taking another lovely tumbler of it from his cart, he daintily placed it before me.

‘Enjoy!’ he said. And I did.

Question

Okey-dokey, pig in a pokey, here's the next one:

They were mainly interested in sailing and boating. Being very cliquey, they were known as the cabal. Rogues, they were considered by the townsfolk. People used to shout at them "You are the Cabal! Rogues you are!" But, this simply went to show how intolerant the townsfolk had become.

There are 8 words to find in there, not all specifically Tolkien-related, but very closely linked.

Well, the "heading off" suggests a letter or two missing at the beginning, making the answer ostensibly Eä, but then we get the "servant, eh?", which just doesn't seem to fit! So, um, yeah. I'll go for Eä, even though I'm sure it is completely wrong.

Or is there a Turambar in there as well? I need to go to bed soon so I haven't looked tremendously hard.

I'm stumped! I've found a Turambar in there, in addition to Tinuviel Took's Turin, but it's an extremely vague Turambar, so I'm not at all sure if its right.

You're right on both counts LePetitChoux (Turambar and it is vague) There is another word in there too:

many called him an outlaw. Rage overtook him when he found he had unknowingly married his sister. Eventually, giving in to fate, he took his own life.

Mormegil

In using the first or last letters of words I didn't follow the format of linking the hidden words properly.....I'll do better next time. And well done to those who found them anyway!
