Sting Random Themes

B.W. - Just wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying the random display of themes on The B-D home page. I'm catching up on past themes that I never got to see, and exploring the home page more.

(BTW - please tell me this random display is a new option, and hasn't "always been like that.")

Yes, whoever is responsible for this, thank you. I find myself stopping to read it and clicking away at the links. There really are a variety of topics.

Question

I find myself clicking 'Reload' once too many as I read the previous themes.

It is a new feature implemented for a couple reasons. First, to showcase the many themes we have already created and many people were apparently not seeing. Secondly, to bamboozle those restless spirits who felt neccesary to complain whenever a theme lasted more than a few weeks. Most are still convinced we've just created 19 new themes just for them!

I'm glad you are liking them. They will continue to rotate until we finish the new theme that we are working on. Once that one is opened, it will be exclusive for a month or so and then we'll keep going back to the rotation.

I was confused at first, too! I came on in the afternoon, and it was Gandalf, then I came back on and it was Rohan...reload...it's Boromir...reload...it's Rivendell...what the...?

But I do like it. The themes are very nice, and to see a bunch of different ones (for those of us too lazy to just click on "previous themes") is really cool.

One feature I liked on a past theme was the ability to click on the displayed picture and you would get to see the full picture instead of the cropped version. But I guess it took up too much "something-something" for you to continue to do that, huh.

You can still do that, on the Boromir theme anyway, and the Aragorn one. Maybe it's because it was already the whole picture that you were seeing.

I think you can still do it on the Galadriel Theme, too, but the Aragorn one will be change to no bigger picture soon. It has to do with bandwidth (or an effort to safe bandwidth). We used to have a complete image gallery, but there are a few of those around the Net already, so we saw no need to continue our redunancy. Leaves more room for original stuff like Malbeth
