Tolkien What Happened to Lond Daer

Lond Daer was established by aldarion in the second age by the mouth of the greyflood river and the sea. Later at gil-galads asking the king of numenore came there to defeat sauron out of eriador. but what happened to lond daer afterwards. The book of lost tales is where i found this, Lond Daer is also called vinyalonde.

It had been deserted and in ruin for quite some time at the time of the War of the Ring. The men of the North dwindled in the latter part of the Third Age, their cities and strongholds in the North were almost all in ruin and deserted at the end of the Third Age.
