I was wondering if someone new more about the history of the sword guthwine. I am very eager to learn more about it, for example how did eomer got it and where was it used. I looked it up at the encylopedia of arda but there wasn't much information.

I'm afraid there is no information other than what is in the Lord of the Rings. _Guthwine_ would be modernized Old English for 'battle-friend'.

It is a whole lot of trouble, and then not worth much after you get it.
