Does anyone know where I could get the written music?? He He!

I'm a soundtrack fan too. I bought it as soon as I'd seen the film the first time. I used to use the soundtrack from Gladiator to play in the background while I'm writing but I've played nothing but my Fellowship CD since December! It rocks!

Oh, and Arwen, I think you can buy the written music at most music stores (at least the ones that sell music)

OMG! I absolutly love the soundtrack! I first learned the notes on my keyboard then transfered them into trumpet notes. (Those are the only two instruments I can play hehe) I really really really wish though that the movie would come out sooner! (I seriously think I'm on a misson to wear it out! (hope to gosh that never happens!)
Menewilwarin I do agree w/ u b/c I'm also always taken back to the first time I saw it. (I'll never see it the same way again.

I love the soundtrack. I listen to it every chance I get. I even know the words to a lot of the songs (the elvish lyrics) and I sing along though I can't sing at all!
I'm gonna buy the sheet music for my collection, even though the only instrument I can play (a little bit) is the piano.

Howard Shore definitely deserved that Oscar! I don't have the soundtrack yet, but I'll get one of these days. Now, to find some unsuspecting person willing to give me money. . . how 'bout the First National Bank of Dad? Wait, no, it's been closed down from overuse. . .

Hmm... whaddya know, I have an account in the very same bank and it hasn't allowed me to make a withdrawal in a long time... in other words, dad I need my allowance since no one ever asks me to babysit. Anywho, I have the soundtrack!!! I absolutely love it too, it is the only thing I have listened to in like a month. Howard Shore can truly put emotion into his music. The Bridge of Khazad-Dum was dark, intense, and beautiful.

I bought it in December... I have a fetish for soundtracks... The way I love to listen to it is when I'm reading the books (I'm still reading, I tend to be very slow at reading...) it puts me in the mood.

I love the soundtrack!! As I was watching the movie for the first time, I knew I had to get it. In fact I got it the very next day. You know the dwarvish chanting in Moria? That's what made me sit up in my seat and say to myself "I MUST HAVE THIS SOUNDTRACK!!" It's so cool! Plus, Amon Hen and Breaking of the Fellowship are great for falling asleep. Lament for Gandalf (Lothlorien) is just cool to sing along with, and The Ring Goes South is great writing music!! This soundtrack is GREAT!!! *hugglez CD*

BOO HOO HOO! I want the soundtrack! I'm saving up, but thanks to lack of allowance and job, I'm still sixteen dollars short. its even worse when everyone else is raving about it! My friend has it, and loves it, and was VERY upset when "May it Be" did not get the Oscar. I must get the soundtrack so I can understand what you're talking about! Nevfeniel, I know what you mean. My National Bank of Mum has been closed to restock as well

I would imagine with the success of this soundtrack they would have one for TTT. Most movies including the triology kind have their own seperate soundtrack available. I have ones like that...

Me Too! gollum*elf*pup Oh, and Arwen, I think you can buy the written music at most music stores (at least the ones that sell music) I don't have a store that sells music in my little town! I had to travel for 2 hours to Ottawa to get the soundtrack. Oh well, my birthday is coming up..... Oh ya, I figured out another part on the piano, then transfered to recorder and Trumpet. I love it!

I am listening to The Breaking of the Fellowship and it is SO BEAUTIFUL!
My comment on Enya: I loved her music before LOTR! She has very relaxing music and it's what I always listen to when I can't get to sleep! Incidentially, did you all know that Enya wrote a piece of music entitled Lothlorien years before making Fellowship of the Ring was even a possible dream for Peter Jackson? She has oblivious been a LOTR fan for years!

It was good that they got Enya involved with the movie, but I first read LoTR back in the early 1970's and I still have this musical connection with some of Led Zeppelin's music. Does anyone remember their "Battle of Evermore" and "Misty Mountain Hop"? Some of their metalish music, I think, would have been especially appropriate as background for the doings in Moria or Isengard.
Suppose there's any chance we might hear some Zeppelin tunes anywhere in the next two installments of the movie? I hope so! |

I bought the soundtrack not long after it came out which i think was sometime in November. I love it and it was the only CD i took on all my school trips this year. I was ridiculed for having classical music while they had the likes of So Solid Crew (who i can't stand). It seems that i am forever doomed to be the odd one out at school, no one appreciates these things i do......
As for the sheet music, no where near me sells it and i have been trying to find it on the net, and somewhere where they can actually send it outside the US, seems as though i am to suffer in that respect too |

A few days ago, I ordered the LotR sheet music for my brother; well, he was supposed to get it for me for my birthday, but he was too lazy, so my mom and I ordered it for him.

if anyone here plays guitar, i tabbed out the main theme music of the movie, the two bits that recur all throughout the movie. (there's a kind of peaceful, emotional part and then there's one for action and important decisions and whatnot.) if anyone wants me to send them a copy just PM me, okay?

Oh yes, I got the soundtrack about a month ago and OMGosh it's good. I didn't even know it would be that good. It always makes me want to cry on the songs "Amon Hen" and "The Breaking of the Fellowship". It is so worth the money that I spent on it. Howard Shore did an excellent job on it.

i rented the soundtrack and have some of the songs on tape. "aniron" makes me cry.
enya's "lothlorien" also makes me cry. BUT there is an even better song in the world than anything to do with enya, or lotr! has anyone heard "forever may not be long enough" from the mummy returns? it is PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!

The soundtrack of a movie is always one of the first things I notice, and LotR had outstanding music. It's probably the first reason I have for liking the movie.
And yeah, "Forever may not be Long Enough" was good, too.
