A Deeper Embedment of Biblical Material in the Bombadil Chapters

So the close-out of Ms. Seth's 'Angel and Demon' set of essays deals with a supposedly deeper side to Christianity present in the Bombadil chapters than already discussed. The clues appear weaker than those previously discussed in Parts 1 through III, yet the author argues that The Lord of the Rings text in the early chapters is much more academic than anyone has fully realized. Bombadil's connections to St. Michael are explored further through ancient texts Tolkien knew (or should have known) including The Testament of Solomon, The Early South English Legendary and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

Whether the evidence to come on a symbolized Christian Cross and Fish appearing in the chapters has merit – we shall have to wait and see!
