GUESS WHAT!?!?!?!?!??!?!
I talked to LEGOLAS!
My mom won a contest, and it had something to do with the Lord of the rings. So she called me from wokr and said "Mary guess what? You wont beleave what just happened" I said what adn she shouted to me on the phone "You are going to talk to Legolas from Lod of the rings" I like wow... Cause I did not know what to say at the time. He called around 6 cause he was in town doing a sponser or something like that for Lordo f the rings. To tell you the truth he sounded like a girl. Maybe it was just the accent But I talked to him for about 30 min or so. Just about stuff he did in the movie, and he asked for my name and everything, and he is going to send me a poster of him with his Sig and everything. OH...god I still cant beleavve I talked to him.. *hugs everybody* *hugs Legolas* |

Cool, but if I had a choice I'd talk to Christopher Lee. He is really good as an actor and a Tolkien Fan... hey, imagine if he is Logged on to BarrowDowns, as a weird nickname? hmm...

Shee. That is so totally not fair. I mean, to talk to ANYBODY from the movie would be pretty snazzy. I think I would rather talk to Christopher Lee. Or Sir Ian McKellen. Or Billy Boyd. And the chances are I misspelled everyone's name. (A good speller i am not!) And i bet it is a possibility that Christopher Lee is on here! I mean, he is a LotR fan. (Okay, he reads the books once a year!) And this is the cooooooolest LotR site! So . . . hmmm. . . . IF YOU'RE OUT THERE SAY SO!!!!

This is not meant to offend, but...
Wouldn't Mr. Bloom prefer to be known as Orlando Bloom as opposed to Legolas? It seems that his identity has been somewhat lost in your post. And what contest was this? Oh, and to the geek who thought he was PJ - you can't be. I AM! [ November 05, 2002: Message edited by: Elenna ]

Does anyone remember on April 1 this year when someone claimed to have met Aragorn at the grocery store or something?

Yep, that someone would have been Lush playing an April Fool. A few people fell for it too!
I must admit, I'm just a little bit sceptical. And his name is Orlando Bloom, not Legolas.

Yes. Let us attempt to keep that straight. Orlando Bloom, who played Legolas (I think) very well in Peter Jackson's movie interpretation but is not actually Legolas. (I think the whole "think like a cat" thing really worked for him )
He is not an actualy elf. sniff.

I would love to have a chance to talk to Orlando Bloom, as well as anybody else that played in LOTR especially Viggo, Dominic, and Billy! Christopher Lee too...but I think that wonderful dramatic voice of his would scare me I'd react like Gandalf on Caradhras: IT'S SARRRUUUUMAAAAANNN!!!!!!

What contest was that?
I fondly remember Orlando being teased by Sean and Viggo about being an elf in between takes: Orlando was claiming that they were intimidated by him, an elf. If I won that, I'd automatically switch on to an English accent myself... wish I'd get tot talk to Billy or HUgo. ...sigh

I'd like to add that you could maybe change the name of this thread because moderators prefer titles to be more to the point.
For instance you could change it to smth like I met Orlando Bloom!!!!!!!!. All Caps usually denote shouting.

I want to know why Legolas Lover isn't giving us more details. I'd like to belive the story but I don't want to get dragged in too easily. Give us details that might prove your not just pulling our leg Legolas Lover.
I would love to talk to any of the cast from the movies. It would probably be intresting to talk to Christopher Lee since he's the big LotR fan too. I wanted to be an actor long before the movie. But now that I've seen it it is now my life's ambition to end up at least as an extra in one of their movies. Hey, a girl has to have some dreams.

If I were to talk to one of the cast of LOTR, it would have to be Sean Astin. He plays my fav character and is a wonderful actor. He came to my town several months ago for political reasons, but unfortunately I didn't find out until too late. His mom coming to my town to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Miracle Worker, though.
