What I should have said is "still a favorite, even with it's lack of meaning." The bolded no is what gives it away. Not that I knew until he told me, silly pirate.

What can I say? I felt sorry for the poor girl.
She's right: the sig had no meaning. It was designed purely to baffle. Now to dechiper whatever fell retribution she has decided to pursue...

It's new...and it's inspired by this (accursed) Lab report I'm trying to write...It's 12.30 in the morning! I want to sleep but need to finish this and the closest my mind can come to thinking about the gravitational constant is singing the Llama song...so I'm voting we lynch it.
on another note, the Gravity of the situation is begining to get to me (ah, bad puns...what would we do without them).

You know, if there's one country we can all officially defend here, it's Gondor. Whaddaya think about Gondor? Mountains, and cities, and kings, and fair lasses. Oh, for Gondor, glimmering in the sunrise!
PS: I really love my signature and am somewhat depressed that nobody has commented on it yet.

Unless I am mistaken, it is a slight modification of the Pater Noster (known in English as the Our Father), and as such is one of the few Latin pieces I know by heart: Articulos nostros quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis POVos nostros, sicut et nos dimittimus opponentibus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in vandalitatem; sed libera nos a trollis. Amen. I THINK it means something like: "Give us this day our daily words, and forgive us our Point-of-Views, as we forgive those who are our opponents. And bring us not to vandalism, but deliver us from trolls. Amen" How close am I?

I like TGWBS's newest:
Quote:
You have no reason to be scared of me. I'm perfectely normal. Really. Very funny. But please forgive me for this, there is a......grammer mistake. There shouldn't be a "pas". Don't hurt me. With the "pas" it becomes "You don't have no reason". Also it should be aucune, cause raison is feminen. You sooooo hate me now.

Sigh.
Stupid grammar. Fiixed. I consider n'avez aucun, but then thought that ne...aucun might not be a valid negative form. |

'N'avez rien' would work better, wouldn't it? Ne...aucun/ne...pas would be more along the lines of 'You have not reason to be scared of me'. N'avez rien would be you have no reason to be afraid of me... I'm not sure actually, I'm probably wrong - it might possibly involve rewording. Maybe best to ignore me then...:P

For the sake of my sanity, and my poor english-is-hard-enough brain could I direct you all here. Not that I don't enjoy seeing things in different languages...but, as Mr. Gumby would kindly point out, "My Brain Hurts!".

I enjoy The Barrow-Wight's Down, down to goblin town. Lovely applicability there! And such a fascinating hobby for our Wight to take up.

You know who concentrated often on grammatical errors of this sort? Tolkien. I'll be you can't find a single mis-conjugated verb tense in his works. Fea tries desparately to keep this language chat 'Downs-related. And I agree with wilwa entirely about Eomer's signature. He has a habit of picking pretty ones that work so perfectly.

It's a special skill I acquired on my travels. Unfortunately for wilwa it's nothing to do with her (though I guess she can consider it applicable).
Your sig is, again, highly appropriate Fea, seeing what happened earlier today. I suppose it will never stop. I've taken to chanting The Barrow-Wight's signature when I walk. It's quite a good marching slogan; though thankfully there are no real goblins where I live.
