Mithalwen has a very pretty new avatar (and I think that one does not need any comments).

Diamond18's avatar has to be one of the most appropriate I've seen in a long time.

Thank you. I am rather fond of it. I nearly ended my confession with "Mithalwen rested her long snout on grey paws and waited for death" And then I found the perfect picture. It is definitely me in wolf form. She even has the right colour hair.

I've been wondering about Legate's avatar .... any reason for the "blended" images?

Yeah she is back at the Penguin avys. . . .I don't know what I think is most her Penguins or Winnie the Pooh.
anywas I am sure there is a lot of symbolism in her returning to penguin avys. |

Why, thank you all. This one is a particular favourite of mine as well, I have a postcard of this one in frames in my room...
PS. The title of this photo is "well fed penguin chick" which was one of my options for my PT...

I really enjoy Gil-Galad's Clone High/Abe Lincoln avatar. A very good choice.

I'm sooooo 80's, as that was an interesting decade in my life. Probably dated someone back then who looked like Morai's avatar.

I quite enjoy Mr. Underhill's batman...actually I watched a video of the intro of the Batman Animated Series...that brought back good old memories of me as a kid watching him kick Joker's ***, those were some times!

And I too like your Schindler's List one... I remember seeing it with a group from my choir in Paris (mainly expats at a loose end on a bank holiday). We all cried so much that the meal afterwards was a very subdued affair. But then it still makes me cry...

Well, I seem to be in a 300 phase right now, including a 300 skin for Firefox, a desktop with the Spartan phalanx and pretty much anything else red or gold.
It's a good film and indeed Leonidas is the boss. I mean I didn't realise it for a long time, but without him there would have been no Tolkien to write LotR.

Elmo's avatar is, as ever, keeping the spirit of Aberdeen F.C. alive and well on the Downs. Great to see! It's a picture of Angus the Bull, the club mascot.

I think Lhuna's new avatar is very beautiful. (Even though it makes a somewhat annoying Swedish song about St. Lucia stick in my head. )

Thanks! I took it past midnight during the last Full Moon. Too bad my phone's camera couldn't make it any bigger, though.

I must nominate SpM's new avatar, though maybe it should be Hookbill and not me to say this (though, it could sound like self-praise from his part... well not that I would expect Hookbill to make a big problem out of that... ).

I believe Mr. Pan is using a photograph of himself for his avatar. The fact that it resembles my drawing so closely is a testament to the fact that Microsoft paint can be dreadfully accurate.

Looks to me like one of Tolkien's illustrations from 'The Letters of Father Christmas'. And it is lovely.

Thank you. Yup, it's from the Letters of Father Christmas. I thought that I could use some Christmas-themed avatar for a change.

I thought it might be something like that...
Btw, how come I am not able to upload a GIF pic as my avatar but for example I saw some here on the forum...?!?!

What about its size? It has to be up to a certain size, now I don't mean only in pixels, but also in bytes - it is written there when you want to upload the picture, it is 19,5 kB at maximum. For an animated gif with high quality this could be a problem.

I've been trying to find out what TheGreatElvenWarrior's new avator is. If I'm not mistaken it's a scrabble game, but I can't make out the words.
