Sting Potential Hobbit Problems...

its the biggest thing since the Oliphant in TTT, what is it? Its the buzz on the internet surrounding The Hobbit and its future as a motion picture...
Because of the 3 movies that came before it, The Hobbit Movie will run into a lot of problems, and it will also have problems just because of the type of book it is, and the age level it was originally written for...
Here are my questions....
1. How would the fact that the Hobbit has an all-male cast be delt with? Would they add in female characters? Maybe love interests? Maybe replace one of the 12 dwarves on the expidition with a female?
2. How would the characters that we already saw in LotR be handled? Will they change for a younger bilbo? Will Ian McKellen be coaxed back? Will Smeagol be the same?
3. What about the ending? The Hobbit ends with Smaug, Thorin and some others dieing, Bard and Dain becoming Kings of their repective kingdoms, and Bilbo going home, but can they end the movie like that? Will the audience understand?
4. Will the attack of Dol Guldor be included? It would add some connection between the hobbit and the LotR that may otherwise be lacking...but if they do, would there be the White Council? Saruman could be shown as schieming secretly, but would the audience connect his delay of the attack to his betrayle later on? Would Elrond, Galadriel, Cirdan and Saruman be the same actors?
5. What about the childish nature of the book? Could the movie be done as PG? Would the millions of fans of lotR be ok with the Hobbit being more childish? Could it be the same level as lotR?
-willkill
