At Aragorn's coronation at the end of RoTK, when Arwen and Elrdon show up, behind them and to their left is this Gondoran guard who keeps laughing. I'm not talking laughter of joy, I'm talking inappropriate, hilarious laughter that would be more fit for a riotous barroom than the crowning of a thousand-year late king. Did anybody else notice this guy? And who is? This man deserves some kind of award, or at least steady employment.

I did notice him! But he didn't quite strike me as drunk... it was more like he just let one and no one else noticed and he couldn't help laughing at himself or something. I thought he was funny! And did you see the woman who goes to look at what is happening at the wall when Faramir is retreating. She is smiling, just la-di-dah. I wasn't to crazy about her...

I'm going to have to check out this bemused woman, but the laughing guard (or Laughing Guard as he will from now on be known) should have been in the credits. You don't crack up at Elessar's coronation and go unnoted.

Yeah I noticed that woman. Also when the light from Minas Morgal pierces the sky and the guards of Gondor and all gapping at it there is a woman in the crowd of people who is smiling. There were also a couple of grinners in the background when Faramir leads the troops out of the city to try and reclaim Osgilith.

I noticed the smiling woman, too. Everyone else looks mildly concerned, and then they all realize the gravity of the situation, and utter a collective "<I>Ohhhh!</I> So <I>that's</I> what's happening!" What did they think was going on?

Hmmm....gotta go back and watch RotK again since I didn't notice that woman. Perhaps the extra actors didn't realize the seriousness of the moment or perhaps they judt didn't know how to react...

I hate it when the backround people don't look the way they are supposed to. I noticed the laugher. Kinda strange.
