Yeah! If it comes out that day, even if I have to wait a couple days before I can get it, that would still be too early to be a Christmas present. I was worried that was all I would get for Christmas...(man, that's so selfish of me...)
Yeah!!!! December 14th! Now I can start planning a day for my back-to-back-to-back viewing of EE's of the trilogy.

I'm thinking I'll just save up my money and buy it myself... all I'm getting for Christmas is this insanely expensive music writing program called Finale, so it's unlikely that my parents would get me a $70 or so DVD set on top of that.
Can't wait for it to come out... I'm having a party when it does. :D

*pouts* I thought it was coming out on the seventh of December! http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de//bawling.gif
But the features do look awesome; I can't wait to hear the cast commentary. ;) I also want to see the feature about the Aragorn vs. Sauron thing. Remember how worked up everyone was getting about that?
And 250 minutes! *dances* Most high loftiness! Pardon the caps, but... I CAN'T WAIT, I CAN'T WAIT, I CAN'T WAIT! And it's coming out a week later than I'd heard before. *dramatic sigh* I hope I can make it!

I really can not wait for it. Hey, I earn £30.00 a week, I can just buy it as soon as it comes out so at least I can rest safe in the knowledge that I won't have to scrimp and save just to get it eh? :D

It will be out in time for when my friends and I attempt to beat a world record for watching movies.
Hurrah!

Yeah, a bunch of friends and myself were going to try that over the summer but it just never happened... it would have been quite fun although exhausting.
So, um, yeah... how about those DVDs? :p
Is the "Minas Tirith Keepsake Box" just a silly box or is it a model of the city? I couldn't really tell from the picture.
It seems like I've been waiting forever for this news. My best friend has yet to see even the first one and wants to watch all in one day with me but wants to wait for this one to come out first. I don't think she realizes how long they all are... LOL... Still, I don't have a problem with it. :D

Darn it! That's a week after my brother's birthday, which means I have to wait until Christmas! (Pathetic, huh? I still get stuff for his birthday...) *Sigh* I need a job...

Any information about Easter Eggs? The ones on FOTR and TTT were hilarious. :D

Already two different (Finnish) web shops have been promising EE release on 10th December. Since the official release is on 14th, I find it very interesting that according to SF film (the distributor in Scandinavia), Finlad would be getting a special treatment on this matter. Or perhaps they're trying to smooth us down since TTT's release here was delayed (two weeks..).

Well, that's better than me. I just checked this thread to make sure on the release date (I don't want to know anything about the movie itself, which is why it took me so long to find this out) & found out that it was not going to be released in November like I thought it was . Now I'll be posting grumpy posts for about a week & a half :p.

Actually, yes. :)

The article says:
From Henneth-Annun, the Russian LotR resource, comes this article:
The EE of the "Return of the King" is not out yet - however, theeaster egg for this upcoming DVD release has already been revealed.
It has been made possible by British laws, which force all video andaudio materials to be submitted for rating by the British Board ofFilm Classification (BBFC).
Here be spoilers!
The Easter Egg this time is a remote interview with Elijah Wood, whichhas been conducted from the world premiere of RotK in Berlin. Elijahwas absent, but reporters had a possibility to ask him questions overa phone line. He would then answer them into a video camera installedin his New York hotel.
As Wood could not see the interviewer, Dominic Monaghan pulled a prankon hin. He assumed a strong German accent and started impersonating aGerman reporter, asking most outrageous questions. The whole piece ofinterview is 8 minutes 34 seconds long.
Peter Jackson often announced this piece of interview to appear on theRotK SEE DVD. Now we know, in what context it will happen. Also, thistime the easter egg has passed British censorship (both MTV MovieAward's easter eggs of previous LotR releases have been dropped in theUK release, because of "adult" dialogues). However, there still mightbe some adult language, as the new Easter Egg has been rated 12 by BBFC.

Yay! Sounds like fun! :D

It's an interesting point regarding "offcolor" language. It can easily become gratuitous, but at times is effective and relevant. I sometimes think
censors/editors get carried away in various editing of films, especially for non-cable tv. Two examples in the U. S.:
1) in "Mad Max" replacing Australian accents with American
and in the first "Smokey and the Bandit" replacing BR line given in response
to the question
"Can you run a forklift?"
"I can lift any forking thing around" with
"I can lift anything."
But I imagine that f***** f**** Dobby and that f*****' hack Peter Jackson
would approve of the changes. :)
My biggest disappointment in the third extended dvd is that they don't offer
something like the nice bookends that came with the FOTR dvd.

Yay! That's 2 days before my birthday! And what did I get on my birthday last year, why TTT EE, and the year before, FOTR EE. I don't get to break the pattern! Yeah! I just can't wait. W00T W00T H00LER H00LER
