Has anybody bothered translating the Runes on the walls of The Chamber of Mazarbul? or anywhere else in the films, I read a few bits about Eregion, but haven`t had time to examine it in depth.I froze my DVD player to read the runes on The Mouth of Saurons helmet, I believe it reads Lammen Gorthaur, which I think in Sindarin means Voice/My Tongue Dread Abomination. So the Voice of Sauron needs to avertise the fact. Gorthaur being the Sindarin form of the Quenya name Sauron (The Abhorred)

People have definitely translated it. There is a site out there that is dedicated to those translations, but alas I can't remember the name.
In the meantime you might find this (http://www.council-of-elrond.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-1196.html) helpful.

Most of the above is about the book found in the chamber, most have a fair idea what it says (or should I say what it should say). My interest lies in what is written on the walls, I have tried to freeze my DVD, but huge segments of the walls are covered or too far away, I was wondering if anyone had seen, or have a full picture of any of the walls within the chamber. I have some of the details, but very little, mentioned for instance are:- Kheled-zaram, Azanulbizar, Khazad-dum, The Western Gate, Eregion, and The Noldor. Two other sentence`s are of intrigue, The first reads:- Second Age Five Hundred, this may allude to Sauron rising again. The second sentence reads:- Gold Smelter, I do not know what this means unless again it talks of the ring maker. I go now on The Quest of the Frozen DVD, to gain further knowledge( Unless someone has seen more).

I know the runes of Kazad-Dum but do not know the language can anyone give me a site where you can learn the languageNo. It's a secret closely guarded by the Dwarves and the site is therefore heavily protected by Moon-letter passwords. ;)

Intersting thread. I wondered this my self but at the time I could barely remember any of the runres! Now I know them but I need to learn the language. I don't have time to do this right now, I'm about to take my final A-level exams, but I would be greatly interested in any thing you translate, Narfforc.

Well, now that this thread has more or less served its purpose:
Did anybody else here freeze the DVD and translate the Book of Mazarbul, or was it just me and the owners of the above sites?
