Dream about Fea:
Fea: That all depends on how you view Fea
School: Can relate to anxiety regarding performance or spiritual lessons that you are learning in waking life
Stairs: Walking up a set of stairs indicates an achievement of higher understanding
Searching: Something is missing in your life, or you are looking to solve a problem
Rooms: Rooms often represent hidden aspects of our minds, personalities, or relationships
Empty Rooms: Emptiness represents fruitless labor or that something is missing in your life
Woman: A woman that you know often represents feelings of concern for that woman, women also represent caring and nuturing or temptation
Fear: Represents a percieved self-doubt or lack of control
Waiting (for the terrible thing): A percieved lack of control, or an anxiety regarding a future event.
So, briefly, something is missing in your life, and you're attempting to gain higher understanding through some spiritual lesson. Fea (or whatever she represents to you) is what you precieve to be the source of the spiritual lesson. The first rooms are empty, re-emphasizing that something is missing. Finding Fea and multiple other women crumpled in fear shows an extreme lack of control regarding some event to come.

Rooms: Rooms often represent hidden aspects of our minds, personalities, or relationships
I have no desire to have power over women. Power isn't something I like. It detracts from happiness, as I understand it, which is far more important.
Perhaps the females in the room represent your feminine or sensitive side, which is afraid of or feels threatened by your more masculine side.
And lmp I would get more upset except that I can't be bothred, knowing you're just flailing for attention. ;) Plus the whole idea of TGWBS as a technician of the female machine is just indescribably funny. :p
I had a dream last night but I'm not entirely sure if it belongs here or in the LotR dream thread. Anyway.
I was Frodo, and I was in a forest with a whole load of other members of the Fellowship. I can only remember a few but I'm pretty sure that lmp was Aragorn and I think Encai was Merry. We were all sitting around in this marquee and someone (I think Diamond) was trying to teach us how to speak properly. As in, when you spoke it was big and booming and everyone turned round to look and listen. lmp/Aragorn picked it up straight away and so did I but Di was about ready to whack Sam over the head with something because he just couldn't get it.
After we'd been doing this a while there was some kind of attack, which I believe was begun by Gil. We all run around the marquee trying to find our packs but I can't find mine anywhere. For some reason no one can get into the marquee so I have plenty of time to look but when I eventually find it the top is missing.
And that's it. Dream Doctor, feel free to have a field day with that.

Anakron becomes Aragorn, the resemblance being obvious already.
Di is Skittles is of course, and is teaching the rest of us how to do things "over the top".
And Sam is obviously Hookbill aka that silly Dwarf who can't get anything right.
You, Kara, my dear, are picking up how to be bombastic quite nicely, except you've lost your lid.
(Off with her head?)
Just a flailing guess. ;)

Ah! Abuse. :p
I had an odd dream last night. It's started very Downs related. I dreamt that LMP was actually building a Mount Zoom. Along with several other Downers, I went to see this thing and all we saw was LMP driving it around being chased by the other Mount Zoom Challenge vehicles. After that, it started to go weirder and I can't remember the rest...
It inspired this, though:

It's not great, I know, but I'm not too experienced with animation...

I was lying half awake this morning, and for some reason I started thinking of the Personal Title thread and came up with these:
Un/Winged Death From Below (This one almost woke me up in alarm..."No, I have to add an optional "Un"! Davem and the non-wingers would kill me!)
A Cold Death Unsung
Dead Star in the Black Wind
Cold Handed, Hearted and Boned
Here on Stone Still Let Me Lie
Feel free to use one if you've a mind.
lmp ... well, nice attempt. :D

I had two Barrow-Downs Dreams last night, one of them was kind of disturbing. . .
Dream nr. 1
I dreamt that TORE had made a video and send it out on The Barrow-Downs. In the video he is sitting in a bus, looking into the camera while greeting certain Downers. He then goes on to talk about how he really likes this grey building. . . The camera zooms in on the Grey building. I recognise the building as a rather dull and anonymous building next to the Copenhagen City Square. . . I ask TORE when he was in Copenhagen, but he refuses to answer.
Dream nr. 2
I dreamt that Valesse had moved into the house next door. We had been talking for a bit and at some point she tells me that her family has to send troops to invade our house! However she doesn’t want anything to happen to me, therefore she gives me a Kevlar-vest and a helmet. She also tells me that it is not real guns the troops will use so I have nothing to fear. The will only use plastic bullets which can be painful, but seldom dangerous. I hide in my room and find my air-gun, preparing to defend my self. As I go to close my door the troops storm the house and shoots me. I fall to the ground and they come over and cut my throat. . . I then realise that if I am dead I cannot talk to Valesse anymore so I decide that I am not dead!
I then go into Valesse and ask if she can hangout the next day, she replies “of course, but you will have to come with me and my parents to whiskey tasting” I agree and meet her parents. Valesse and her parents goes to bed, but I stay in the living room. Then one of my friend drops by and we start playing LotR Risk, after a while another of my friends drops by. He puts on some rather loud music, resulting in Valesse’s parents waking up and asking why there are 2 random guys in their house. Then I wake up.

i dreamt that Hookbill realized that he would be nothing without his Barrow-Dwons Products thread and his Downers newspaper thread! its the source to his weakness! we must exploit it now! to the war-room!
so basically Hokbill was a secret tyrant of the thread, like the Emperor if you will, manipulating the sides and me and some loyal men (me, rune, saucepan, davem) embark on a quest to save the kingdom of the barrowdowns and awaken the Barrow-wight and restore grace, Esty and Feanor battle for barrow-wights domain while Hookbill, as i said, plays in both sides. i never finished the dream so i don't know how it ends... something with spawn sacrifing herself for us and davem betraying us but then betraying hookbill to save us... its rather confusing... Barrowdowns Final Fantasy i guess...
EDIT: also hookbil has two super-items we are going to destroy to rid the downs of him BDP and the BNP, you know what each of them means.

Apparently Frodo had more than just his finger bitten off. Someone tried to put him back again. Thus, Igor.

Okay, TORE, as if I could resist such a request: The Only Real Hope (Estel) is the video's announcer. Rune can't get Hope to explain about the Grey Building. Rune therefore doesn't know what he's hoping for, and fears that his only real hope is associated with drab Copenhagan. :p

I finally dreamt of Downers.
I was talking to Hookbill, Daniel Radcliffe(Harry Potter) and a couple of other guys from my past during a boarding school class that actually met in a Greyhound bus. The seats were shorter and arranged to face each other in small groups.
Suddenly, I was asked politely to go talk with some of the girls in class because the guys needed some male-bonding time-so I did.
The dream then took me and Hookbill to a meadow lined with pine trees where Son of Numenor had a barber's chair out in the middle of it. He proceeded to cut Hookbill's hair in a mop style. It was a bit of a hackjob (sorry SoNo) so I showed Bill how one could use gel and the hair would look like it was done on purpose in a cool way. Then we walked out of the meadow hand-in hand. I woke up.
P.S.- Don't worry Hookbill, in my dream I was 15 -thinner, prettier and unattached ;)

I dreamt of Bethberry, my great-grandfather (that I never met) and somebody else that could have been anyone. The setting was about 50 years ago and we were in a house. Beth was playing with clay on a potter's wheel. She spun the wheel and drew a tall bowl with rainbow swirls of clay. The rest of the dream doesn't really pertain to the 'Downs though.

Interestingly enough, I did indeed used to have my hair in a 'mop style' and I do now gel it (only when I plan to go out in public... which is not often). So... Are you spying on me? Are you a Spook? :p

Two nights in a row? Weird.
I dreamt last night about Esty. In her world travels, she found herself, with her husband, of all places, at a family reunion of mine. The location was a combination of my grandparents' farm, a local lake, and Harkness (a Connecticut beach). I didn't know she was there until my baby cousin (from the other side of my family, mind you, because my dreams are soooo logical) pointed to her from my arms with a big smile and insisted upon being held by her. Esty, being very accomodating, completely and totally enjoyed the fact that Breanna immediately loved her and didn't want to be put down.

There are a lot of personal elements in your dream.
What do you associate with your granparents farm, this local lake, and Harkness Beach?
Also, what do you associate with Esty?
Feanor of the Peredhil

grandparents farm
My father's family, certainly. My grandfather, who is very smart and very funny, but is very quiet and who is one of the very few people with whom I haven't been able to hold conversation. My brother; I'm usually at the farm with him, shooting targets in the private field or wandering the woods, or looking for wild life to photograph. I think of open space (a few hundred acres) and nature (a pair of wolves, deer, foxes, woodchucks, hawks...). I think of people that like each other, but don't know each other.
this local lake
How much I hate being in still water. Rocks instead of sand. Being unable to see the bottom for very long. Geese in the autumn. From about September 15th until mid-October, the lake is covered with them and my old Adv.Bio. class walked down every day to watch them and study their migratory and family structural habits. Canadian geese and snow geese, mostly.
Harkness Beach
Being with really good friends this summer. Sunlight and laughter and potato chips. Bikinis and listening in on people speaking in Russian. Napping in public. Sitting on huge rocks as the tide comes in around us, making an island of our perch. No worries.
Also, what do you associate with Esty?
Intelligence and kindness. Infinite patience. Wit. Creativity. You know... all the nice things. :)

OK I had a Tolkien dream for the first time in a while! I was in the office and someone was talking about some meetings they were going to. I was half listening and then they said they were going along on part of the Tolkien World Tour, and what's more, they had a pass/ticket thing entitling them to actually meet Tolkien and talk to him. I felt jealous because they didn't even know who Tolkien was! The pass/ticket things were folded sheets of paper inside those clip on plastic badge holders. Next thing it was evening for some reason and all the lights suddenly went out and mass panic ensued with people crowding for the lift lobby, but I saw the passes and grabbed them. Then I got woke up for my breakfast (marmite on toast, mmmmm) so I still didn't get to meet Tolkien. :(

This dream was very much about you. In your dream, your in a place of mixed feelings, where it is is both familiar and worry-free, but somehow uncomfortable. The relatives in your dream imply various aspects of yourself, which is reemphasized by the idea of a reunion, where aspects of the people present are incorporated into yourself. (Only you know those aspects.) A baby represents your own inner nature, which is pure and uncorrupted. The idea is again brought back to you as the baby is your cousin, representing a familiar aspect of your character. The baby is out of place among the other relatives present, and so your inner nature is out of place among your other aspects. The trust shown in Esty by the baby reveals a need to integrate the personal aspects for more self-acceptance. (The idea that the side of the family present don't really know each other also shows a need for the integration of your aspects.) Esty, representing goodness, is the "safe" character in the dream, again emphasized by the mutual acceptance between the two. This is what you really desire- the acceptance of your inner nature, and it's integration with the other chracteristics shown.

Dunno, maybe the dream symbolised that I find my work deadly dull in comparison to having mad dreams about what I'd ask Tolkien if I met him. Or maybe my hatred of being asked to go out anywhere and meet people? Then the lights going out bit must've been davem passing the window to my side of the bedroom with my plate of marmite on toast? :D I once dreamed about an earthquake and the cats were having a proper 'kill' fight and had smashed the door open... I want to have my Gollum-mexican day of the dead dream again. That was funny. ;)

Good heavens! I had a dream of a Barrow-Downs get together in a high school gymnasium in Ohio. There was good showing of people from all over the world and a few speeches given, but nobody looked as they properly do. The menfolk looked rather like Beorn and the women like 1970's middle-aged sophicates. A real mish-mash. It was horrible and interesting all at once!

I had a Barrowdowns dream a while ago, but couldn't think of the right words to descibe it then. I must warn you that my dreams (when I remember them) are quite... well, you'll see.
So it starts with just a chessboard sitting infront of Rune and Kath who are both on some rather tendy red ottomens (which were really neat. I wish I could find some and/or afford them.) Anyway, the view pans out and of all places they apparently were playing chess in Wal-Mart next to the sports section... where Eomer, Wilwa, Gil-Galad, and various others (it's rather blurry now who, exactly) were playing a lighthearted game of volleyball.
Bethberry and Esty were kicking back an aisle over (patio section), sipping on frozen drinks, giggling to one another with their brightly colored flip-flops and gargantuan sunglasses on.
As dreams usually include the dreamer somewhere, of course I was somewhere between the chess game and being pegged on the head by the volley ball. Curiously, I was strapped to a parachete harness which had been snagged on the net-pole. Everybody was laughing. Not at me, persay, but at how happy they were to be in Wal-Mart playing volleyball ... even Morm who rode in on a skateboard as an employee (somehow) while coming to tell everyone about a discount on something random like toliet plungers or something.
All of our coversation, anyway, was about cutting me out of the harness, which Rune refused with a grin. Eomer found this very silly apparently and snorted which was when I woke up.

I dreamt of Eomer of the Rohirrim the other night. I was hurrying towards my next class in a building in my university when I saw Eomer sitting in the corridor, in front of a classroom. (He looked the way I originally imagined him and not like his picture in the Downs photo page, so no eyeliner. :D ) I sat down beside him and chatted him up, and all I can remember is that I encouraged him about this book he was trying to write. Then I stood up and said bye and continued hurrying towards my next class. I arrived late and was scolded by my prof, quite needless to say. But for a chat with my big bro, it was all worth it. ;)
Too bad it was only a dream, though. :(
I don't know why it took me so long to post this (though it's not at all a dream); it happened a couple of weeks ago, I think. I was walking through the same corridor in the dream above, and I saw, sitting on the floor in front of the VERY classroom in the above dream, someone who looked a lot like Eomer - the real one, not the one in my mind. I took the subtlest good look at the guy that I can manage, but he too looked at me. When I passed him I couldn't resist looking back, and when I did he was still looking at me! Please, Eomer, I know you don't need to, but tell me that wasn't you...

Two nights ago, I had a dream that the BD's began publishing a series of magazines devoted to the Werewolf games, each publication being devoted to the mods of each.
It got to the eighth edition (me being the mod), when I decided that "Hey! This is a Barrow-Downs dream! I'd better post it on the BD Dream thread!".
So all the dream hereafter was posted in great detail in the dream itself, that I can't remember exactly.
What I do remember is that the eighth edition of Werewolf! Magazine overflowed with praise for my game, and also featured an article by the Saucepan Man detailing the exploits of my brother and sister that had happened during the game. "Huh?" I remember thinking. "What are they doing in MY dream?" There were also many ads for rototillers and the like.
It culminated with SpM sending me the severed leg of our dog as a congratulatory gesture. That had me terribly confused, as our dog still had all of her four legs. I remember bidding my siblings to see if one of Sheila's legs "was newer than the other, or something?!?".
Errrrrrrrrrrrrk.

No need to say, I loved Valesse's dream! I am sure it will come true at one point. . .
I had a very weird mix of dreams last night and eventhough I am sure they where seperate dreams, they become a blury mix.
For some reason I needed to talk with The Ka about something, so I went to her house, she insisted that we stood we talked through the door. It was kind of a weird conversation and it did not really lead anywere. While she was talking I went to the back of the house where ther were an open glass door, I went in and was standing right behind Ka. She still thought I was on the otherside of the door and kept on talking and did not even notise me, then I graped some air-plane tickets on a table and went back to the door. We talked for a while and she mentioned something about a shadow behind her, then a rep. arrived. it kind of just popped up where the door used to be. It was from Narfforc and it was negative, but it said the exact same thing as a possitive rep he had given me previously.
Then I had a dream about IM'ing Formendacil about the abcent of some Downers, I then had to go to the bathroom. When I returned apparantley they had all been online and have had the greatest conversations.
You can inteprit if you like, but I already know what the dreams ment.

Don't say that. I might have to eat myself on a Full Moon.
Shortly:
Me at the top of Orthanc in a pub with some anonymous Barrow Downers listening to a terrible cover band "Borrim Hunters". Then Gandalf coming to cut peoples heads off, because his boss, an orc, ordered him to do that.

I dreamed that the journey I took from Michigan to Montana was made on a ship (huh?), and that I was going back to Michigan to pick up something that I had forgotten - and waiting for me there were four Barrow-boys who had found my old address somehow. I remember Glirdan, Hookbill, a tiny little guy who must have been TGWBS, but I don't remember the fourth gentleman. All four were skinnier than rails (especially Glirdan - again) and I gave them all hugs.
The sail back I made accompanied by either Diamond18 or Fea - I couldn't tell which.

I had an odd dream a couple nights ago where I ended up staying a couple hours at the home of the B-W himself. He was a rather engaging individual and I enjoyed my time there. I had a really strange dream last night. . .
I was kind of physical in the RPG forum. . .kind of, it is hard to explain.
I then got a PM from Encai and Lommy asking me to writte some message to the other people in the RPG. . . I could not understand what it was that they wanted me to do, but I did not want to let them know that I did not know, so I just asked some vauge questions in an atempt to get a clue. All I found out was that they had made a map I could use. . .The map however did not make any sence.
It was not a nightmare, but the dream did make me feel very uncomfortable.

I had this dream earlier this week...I had fallen asleep with the light on, and my dad wore me up at 4 am to tell me to turn it off. This dream occurred sometime between then and my normal waking-up time of 7:30.
In my dream, I was getting married in a week in Milwaukee. (Why Milwaukee, I have no idea). Apparently I was woefully unprepared for this wedding, since I didn't even have my dress picked out yet with a week to go! Anyway, Formy decided to throw me an engagement party, but I was too busy to RSVP. Finally Hookbill (who was either my fiancé or my personal assistant, I'm not sure which, in the dream) said he was going to RSVP for me and tell Form I was going to wear a dark green dress (perhaps to match with the forum's color scheme?) to the party. At that point in the dream I decided that perhaps I really did need to pick out my wedding dress. The dream ended with me trying on a wedding dress that was suspiciously like a red flannel nightgown with a white yoke, eyelet lace, and ribbons! (I have no idea why I remember it so clearly.) This was definitely one of my weirder dreams!

Last night, I had a weird dream...
I bought a CD by the Finnish singer Maija Vilkkumaa, but the album didn't actually have anything to do with her. It had different artists playing different songs. The last song, however, was sung by an artist called Macalaure. My sister insisted macalaure means "white as a lamb" while I argumented that it can't since "laure" is the Quenya word for gold, not white. Anyway, the track sung by this mysterious Macalaure had originally been done for a more famous artist called mormegil, but he couldn't do it, so in the end the track was sung by this Macalaure who was unknown to the big public.
In the same dream Mac decided to come to Finland for just one day and one night. He and Noggie were planning to meet each other. I wanted to see Mac too, but I had promised my friends to spend the day in question with them. they were quite upset when I said I wanted to go to meet Mac. They said: "You prefer some random german guy and your dad to us."
Comments: Well... That was really weird, though I guess that shows I know more quenya than my sis does. I think the "Mac was coming to Finland" -thing came from a msn discussion with Rune where I told him to come to Finland for a brief visit to fetch the Finnish wine his stepfather wanted for present. As to meeting Mac when I should have been with my friends and their bitter comment... I guess they think I spend too much time on the 'Downs.

A dream that tells a long story with a happy ending. There are two basic themes in this dream- one social, one emotional. The setting begins with a city, which represents your sense of community. (Your personal view of Milwauke would be indicative of just what that is for you.) Planning your wedding to an indistinct person shows a need to balance your masculine and feminine sides. You were unprepared, and as a dress represents the free expression of femininity, your lack there of reveals that it was the feminine side that needed balancing. However you veiw Form, his party for your shows a need to meet relational needs in a social setting. Being too busy means that you were unable to meet those needs on your own. This is likely tied very strongly to your need to express your emotional side. Hookbill, whatever he represents to you, was the facilitator that helped you meet these needs, since as fiance he would help you reach your balance, which is also likely why you remember him as an asistant as well. (He was literally asisting you.) By picking out a dark green dress, he was emphasizing your need to express your femininity or emotional side. (Dark green shows the need to balance feminine and masculine traits; the dress is, again, expression of the feminine side.) This jumps you into making a decision- that being how exactly you will express your feminine side. What the dress you picked looked like explains this choice. An old style red flanel nightgown. Whatever that means to you. ;) Breaking down the elements though- red means strong emotions, white means new beginings, and lace is the realization of your heart's desires.

A few nights ago I had a weird dream. I, Noggie and Goldberry (who was my mother) lived in a small cabin (that resembled a cabin in my friend's summer house). Noggie knew Boro. (They talked for hours in the phone.) Then, one day, Noggie invited Boro to our home. Strangely, Noggie was somewhere the minute when Boro came, so I got to welcome him and his wife (? it was some woman he had with him). I introduced Boro to my 'mum' and then I told him: "This is my mother. Her name is Goldberry. But she is usually called Goldie, you can call her that." 'Goldie' didn't look very delighted at the guests coming and she sat in the corner all the time. Also, I remember wondering (in the dream) "why's my mother Goldberry if my father's not Tom Bombadil?" ... :D

It's stands for the French phrase 'repondez, si vous plait,' which literally means 'please respond.' When you RSVP, you call/e-mail/write to someone who invited you to a party to tell them whether you can come or not.

I was camping. Child was cooking supper at the Coleman. It started raining so I got under some trees. Child insisted rather caustically that I'd be better off in the tent. I said nothing but decided to stay under the tree leaves again, even though the rain was dripping through just a little bit. A fireball flew out of the sky, right between us, and incinerated our tent, leaving nothing standing but the frame wires. Child and I looked at each other, wide-eyed.

Going at it from a Jungian point-of-view:
Child is female and represents your own feminine, nourishing (cooking) side. It seeks to place you in what seems to be a sheltered spot. However, you would rather take what the elements bring you, risking your own comfort. You do choose a natural shelter, though it does not offer complete protection. Obviously, that choice is the right one, as the seeming (man-made) shelter is actually the place of destruction. That destruction comes from outside of you, seemingly random from above - I would not necessarily interpret that as being from a divine source.
As I have no idea what the Coleman is, I can't interpret the location.

Jenny and Rune, you guys are too funny. :D
The Jungian intepretation provided by Estelyn fits the facts of my experience of late; not that anybody's been trying to kill me, but there are destructive forces that are apparently trying to undo the good I am trying to accomplish.
Taking a somewhat objective stance, it occurs to me that a tent is a temporary shelter, sort of akin to one's body. Hmmm.... this is not the first such dream about such a thing....

An interesting dream came to me last night...
I was in Liverpool (probably coming home from University) and I went into the 'Forbidden Planet' shop (a comic book shop with lots of Lord of the Rings and Doctor Who stuff! My brother calls it the 'nerd shop' :D ) and was looking at a copy of The Silmarillion for some reason.
All of a sudden, Lal and Davem rush in and tell me 'there is something terrible happening on the Downs!' I went to the cashier and ask if I can use the computer. The man says 'okay' and so I log onto the Downs. For some reason there is a video clip of The Barrow Wight saying 'As of today, The Barrow Downs is going to become a Harry Potter fan site.'
Turning around, I see that Lal and Davem as well as Rune, Fea and Spawn are all there and holding shotguns. I remember chasing them down the road shouting, "Killing the Barrow Wight won't solve anything!"
A dream? Prophecy? Or just plain silliness? You decide!

Anyway, more cheese all round. All of these dreams of smiting thunderboxes (sorry lmp, Mithalwen has now given me the curious mental image of your tent being struck down by a flaming Elsan portaloo) and comic shop violence are keeping me amused. ;)

This morning I was delighted to be visited with a dream about Torchwood. I was a character in Torchwood after an incident in which I accidentally left most of my household towels in a hotel bedroom and couldn't get them back. Captain Jack came to the rescue by telling me it was all just a bad dream, but I had the feeling there was more in the dream but he would not tell me and wanted me to find out for myself. So I had to join Torchwood in order to find out. We investigated some burns victims and aliens and this weird man who had an archway in the sky overlooking some coastal defences (which Captain Jack said should have been painted red). The sea was sucking the water in and out of the defences viciously and it went dark and the funny man jumped down and then walked across the surface of the sea to the shore. Then those of us in Torchwood were sitting outside a castle eating (it was too busy inside the banqueting hall) and I thought I was about to find out Captain Jack's secret about the dream when the BBC announcer said further episodes of Torchwood would be suspended due to lack of funding and replaced with something called 'The adventures of Jane Jarvis'. Then the credits rolled on our TV lives and the scriptwriters were narfforc and Hookbill! :D

But do you know Captain Jack's secret? I wanted to go back to sleep and try and find out what it was - it was like something only he and I knew but I couldn't remember and at the end of the dream it was as though we would all be frozen in time until the BBC got enough funding to show the rest of the series - but then davem had me sausage buttie ready so I had to get up.

I think Hookbill's 'Downs Newspaper is getting inside my head.
So, I think in last weeks (or perhaps the week before) there was a picture of a little koopa troopa with the headline 'Fake Hookbill finally exposed' or something to that effect.
Anyway, I had a dream that I was the one who caught the imposter...I don't have too many dreams that I remember, but by far it was the strangest dream I had since first watching 'Dumb and Dumber' and having C-bass break down my door and kick the snot out of me. (Which was a long time ago).
It was like a dream within a dream, because in my dream I was sleeping, then I woke up to see this little imposter Hookbill running around my room. I got out of bed and caught it in my comforter saying 'Yes, I got him! I got him! He's in my sheet!' I must have woke up and still been half sleeping because, for a good 2 minutes I was holding my comforter as if I had a little imposter Hookbill in there repeating 'I got him! He's right here!' Then I came to my senses and realized there was no fake Hookbill in my sheet and I didn't catch him...drat.

I had an odd dream just a few minuets ago. I went to sleep to pass the time and woke up thinking, "Eh?"
It began with me going onto the Barrow Downs only to find that I was always being re-directed to some tourist website about Antarctica. I recall being very suspicious because there were lots of Penguins on this website. My little brother, Jonathan (He was on here under the name Gelmir for a while) is into penguins big time, so I asked him what was going on.
It turned out, some how, that Thinlómien had kidnapped him and taken him to Antarctica. Naturally, I decided to go and find out why. On the way I, for reasons yet to be fathomed, ended up in Wales. Ka and Rune were there trying to break into a pirate treasure chest. Rune had some very complicated machine that looked like a modified digger. Ka was trying to throw the chest off a cliff.
"What is going on?" I asked, but they just told me to help them open it. So I opened it, for it was not locked. Both Rune and Ka then threw me off the cliff for 'trying to be clever'. Then I woke up.
Any explanations? Answers on a postcard.

A Downer was haunting my dreams last night.
For some reason, I wanted to go to two stores before picking my friends up to see a movie: the grocery store and somewhere else. I managed to spend about an hour in the grocery store (there weren't any groceries there, though... and I didn't seem to care that I was late to pick up my friends) looking for a Christmas present for Thinlomien. Glirdan was a short (about 150cm), fat guy with the face of his late Idols-Jackson -avvie who loved hugging people. (Sorry Glirdy, that's not the way I really picture you... :D) I don't remember what Wilwa looked like, but Jenny was her avvie, though she was wearing ones of my sister's favourite clothes... Davem and Lal was visiting me and I had a lot of activities planned, but no matter what I sugested they just wanted to go for a walk. . . .while Davem and Lal was one of these walk me and my friend Steffen jumped on a bus to Amsterdam, in Amsterdam we spottet Cailin at a major square watching a movie with one of my friends father. When we got of the bus they started to walk away, when I called their names Cailin stopped, but my friends father continued walking. Steffen, Cailin and I started to talk and was soon joined by another friend of mine, Christoffer. Then I woke up.

A few nigths ago, I had a dream that in the Nogrod's werewolf game that is curently running, he was a wolf himself, though he was modding too. I'm not certain, but I think Boro was a wolf too in that dream...
Last night I had a dream that LMP had sent me a PM asking me to write to the Mead Hall and reminding me that I have promised to write something but I haven't written anything for ages... Conscience knocking, obviously...

A few nights ago I had a dream where I was discussing with a friend. Suddenly she said: "Do you know these James Bond -guys around the 'Downs?" "What do you mean?" I asked, "as far as I know there's only one and that's Anguirel, 007." "Yes, there's him, but there's some more too. Take a look at this." She produced a list from her pocket. In the list there were numbers from 001 to 009 and they all had a 'downer's name after them. Ang was - of course - 007 and Menel (I think) was either 003 or 004. Unfortunately I can't remember the other ones.
Now, I see I got a bit too enthusiastic about that James Bond -joke in Noggie's ww... :D

I had a pretty sweet dream last night -
I dreamed that Formendacil rewrote the Hobbit and put 'Downers in it, but it ended up not being very Tolkien-like. It was more an Alice in Wonderland/George MacDonald faery story, there was lots of moss, and woods, and toadstools, and floating eyeballs.
The main character was a princess, and he put me in that role (like I say, pretty sweet huh?) and he had me go on a journey to the end of the world, where my prince was waiting and also a giant waterfall, where I would know what to do next.
The only other Downers I remember being in it was Thinlo as the young girl (goddess?) next to the world waterfall, and a newbie named MoAimee as a rather young and flighty Bilbo, and Eomer of the Rohirrim as a prancing Phantom-of-the-Opera type dashing-swordsman Death, who was after the princess.
So I journey there, and I get there, and there are two people at the end, a man and Thinlo by the edges of the waterfall, pouring things in it to give life to the world at the bottom. A shocker at this point was the man was Chris Cornell, frontman for Audioslave and Soundgarden. I know, I did a double-take even in my dream.
I end up going down to this new world, marrying a prince (The Only Real Estel, I think), and discovering that "even ordinary-looking people can have extraordinary lives!", which is nuts, since I'm gorgeous. And TorE isn't ordinary either.
It was a much better story than I can set down here. I remember one philosophical question being "If three small colored candles can tell if one white candle is lit, and one white candle can tell if a hobbit is behind a rock, shouldn't three small colored candles be able to tell if a hobbit is behind a rock? They can! The Hobbit race is saved!"
Also, Death wore seatless pants. Valar save me I don't know why.
And then, at the theatric premier, of which Hookbill wrote the screenplay, I met the guy who be short, who looked pale, fat, and dumpy (nothing at all like his picture), and we talked about how shweet the story was, how Form was a genius, and how the sequel was going to be even greater.
Then I talked a bit to Mithalwen, who in reality was a very paranoid woman called Fernando Finesta, but we had to meet in a closed-off room, and when I sat down she said "Ohhh, don't you check the seat before you sit down, dear? I do, what if I were to accidentally sit in someone's lap, that would be dreadful!"
The play was put on by all children, except Eomer still played Death, who did a pretty good job of it, the boy who played Bilbo just choked up once when at the scene where he's behind the rock while the princess talks to Death, but that was probably just because of Death's lack of proper pants.
All-in-all, I wouldn't mind having that dream again, if that were possible.
Oddwen, what a dream :D
I had a dream where Celuien called my mobile phone and told that she's in reality one girl from Lommy's school, who I know pretty badly. I felt ok with that, but the girl insisted that she did great wrong to me for hiding her identity.

...because it was a dream of the Downs. I don't remember much from it, but the main point was that I somehow discovered that The Phantom (I mean the Downer, not the comic figure) is actually Hookbill's alter ego. Yes, Hookbill was registered twice at the Downs: once as Hookbill, once as The Phantom. When I realized that, I said to myself: "Yes, this makes sense, this is why he is not afraid of using the Phantom as a character in that comic strip." I also came to the conclusion that this is why The Phantom almost never made any commentary to the comics. But then, the other day (in the dream), TP actually wrote some commentary to the last part of the comics (and really negative one, he complained against associating himself with the comic figure, and appealed on Hookbill to try to portrait him correctly in the comics, or he will do something about it - not sure what it should be, possibly arguing at the administrators to ban the comics, or even Hookbill), but this was clear to me: "Nah," I said to myself, "so transparent, Hookbill. You did this because you know I learned the truth and you are now trying to convince us that TP is not your alter ego. But we are not gonna believe you."
So that's about it. We know the truth now, and we are not gonna believe you, Hookbill!

Good Gracious me!
Last night I had an odd dream!
It was cold in my bedroom (which may explain the setting) when I went to sleep. I dreamt that I was in Antarctica for some reason and looking for the 'Penguin City', my younger brother was insisting we go there (he likes Penguins). when we got there Thinlómien was chasing some penguins around a huge tower. Lommy didn't call herself 'Thinlómien' though, she called herself 'Ann' for some reason.
My younger brother took up a stick and began bashing it against the tower yelling at Ann / Thinlómien to stop chasing the Penguins. She turned to him and said something about the Penguins hiding something under the tower. So we all went down some stairs that had mysteriously appeared. Once at the bottom, I saw that there were hundreds of Penguins huddled around a huge egg that, for some reason, had the Barrow Down's logo on it.
Thinlómien then said that it was the Downs' central server or something and that someone was trying to cut it off. I asked why and she said, 'Because they don't want us talking about books anymore.' To which I replied 'I see'. Lommy then proceeded to hand out chocolate to the Penguins who seemed very happy about this. But my younger brother was shouting that they couldn't eat chocolate and then the Penguins started exploding...
Then I woke up...
Weird...

I had such a strange dream...
I was in Fordim's WW-game. The game had two game-threads and I was not just writing into them, I was in them. At first I didn't notice that there were two threads and I wondered around the low-class thread, ironically it was my school's grounds. At some moment I noticed that I hadn't writen anything about suspecting people and all I wrote was just in character.
Somehow I was converted to the other thread that was a gigantic mansion and where all the real action was going on. All the players voted while dining at a great table and we lynched a new tiny alligator-character.
Then I walked around the mansion and in each room the time was different, in one room it was year 1919. In some rooms there were ancestors of people I know from RL. One room was my father's room.
After that I flew into the space on a bus.
I usually don't dream of screen names ;)

I had a dream with Mithalwen in it.
It went like this:
We were driving along a country road and then she did a sharp right at a junction. This road passed through a disused village (like those ghost villages on the South Downs that are used as Army bombing ranges) which had a lot of trees. After a while it entered open country and the road got narrower until the 'road' was just tyre tracks through a lush green upland field (rather like very nice parkland). Mithalwen drove confidently (it was a Range Rover) and she was correct to do so as we soon got onto a metalled lane again. Here there was a crossroads with one finger on the signpost pointing to a village called Derby, which Mithalwen corrected and said it was pronounced "Derby" not "Darby", which was surprising. Then she dropped me off in the village where there was one of these dreadful team builds going on and I sneaked off to the pub.

Oh dear - Lalwende, who has met me, associates me with the sort of countrywomen who drive upmarket tanks too fast, never indicate and leave anyone else on the road half in a ditch I may sound like that but I drive a clapped out little fiat cautiously on country roads (you never know when a herd of cows or a child on a pony is round the next corner) and went to what was then a fairly rough comprehensive ... but I did wear pearls with my uniform ;)
however spookily enough having dreadful early starts for current assignment means I am waking at the right point in my sleep cycle to remember more dreams ..and spookily enough the night before last - or rather yesterday morning - I had a barrow downs dream!
And it was in a pub and featured Lalwende and Davem and The Saucepan Man and some other Downers I woke up too soon to be introduced too- Lalaith maybe . I had a vague idea that it was Oxonmoot but for some reason a group of my god-daughter's MUDders were down the other end of the long table doing craft work. I arrived late (no surprise there but it seems I might have been parking the Range Rover :p ) said hello to Lal and Dave and then I sat down and in front of me was a sign promoting a real ale that was named after the Saucepan Man and the the slogan sounded like a potential RPG.
At that point my conscious mind realised delightedly that I my subconscious was having a Barrows Downs Dream and woke me up..and the alarm went off and that was it ...

If that be the case, yours (as far as I know) is the first lucid dream (a dream in which you know you are dreaming) to be posted on this thread, though you did wake up shortly after you realized that it was a dream.
I wondered if this was ever going to happen.
We've had a few reports of "false awakenings" already, mainly involving Werewolf mods who thought they'd woken up after they were supposed to post death scenes only to find that they hadn't actually woken up.
Just some random observations of mine.

Now then Mithalwen...I don't associate Range Rovers with posh folks myself, having grown up in the countryside and got used to seeing beaten up old Range Rovers being driven about by people without much cash. They're a solid old car and easy enough to repair and will keep going for a few thousand miles...and one of my friends had her own Land Rover - it had lots of sheep poop in the back so it wasn't exactly posh. There now, I don't associate you with posh ladies wot lunch. But I imagine you are a pretty good driver. ;)

Constant lucid dreaming typically damages the psyche. Your brain needs to flow it's own way. It knows what it's doing. After all, you don't tell you're lungs when to breathe, or your heart when to beat. However, lucid dreams are always remembered because your consiously aware of them, which isn't the case with typical REM, except in cases where you are near waking. (Most dreams are only a few seconds long in real time, though they may seem much longer in dream time. Also, many happen concurently, so if you recall a sudden shift of events in your dreams, it's probably multiple dreams happening one after another.)
Also, in lucid dreaming, you typically go about your normal day and only come to the realization that you're dreaming through some mistake in the "reality" of the dream world- changing text, time moving too fast, etc. So you may not be experiencing true lucid dreaming, but some form of sleep dysfunction. (No offense.)
There are methods which can allow a person to lucid dream by choice, and techniques which allow greater and greater mental control in lucid dreaming.

Constant lucid dreaming typically damages the psyche... Most dreams are only a few seconds long in real time, though they may seem much longer in dream time. We're studying dreaming in Psych at the moment? What makes you think lucid dreaming is bad for the psyche? I'm not sure we can determine this withour determining the purpose of dreams.
Also, we learnt that dreams happen in real time. They may feel like they're longer, but this happens because of jumps forward in dream-time to skip dull parts of the dream. Each minute of dreaming equates to one minute of sleep.
I had two BDs dreams last night.
Firstly, I dreamt of Guinevere. In my dream, she called my house and talked to me on the phone. She asked general questions like how I was and what I was doing, and we generally small-talked. She had moved to France and married a Frenchman. For some reason, she handed her phone over to her husband, but he spoke only in rapid French. I could only understand the odd word so after a few healf-hearted responses, I hung up on him. The phone call lasted 9 minutes.
The second dream was somewhat more surreal. I was in the fellowship (standing in for Gimli I think), and we were wandering around many locations, but it was some sort of game. Legolas and Aragorn were certainly there, and I think Gandalf was too, though there were no hobbits. Boromir had been replaced by a person who... well, it's hard to explain. He was Formendacil, but he looked like a guy in Meneltarmacil's avatar before, so he was also Menel. I'll call him Formenel.
So, Formenel was the worst member of the fellowship. We passed into what must have been Lorien, for there were many tall trees, on this rope paths above a deep drop. Formenel came last, and the elves holding the ropes taught wouldn't let go until he was half-way onto a log on the near side. They let the ropes slack much earlier for the rest of us, so they obviously didn't trust Formenel.
Then we all went off, with Formenel at the back. He poked his head into a hole in the ground, and an adder sprung out. He ran away, but it chased him, so he climbed a tree. The adder followed him up the tree too! But then we came back and helped him.
Then we all ran through Lorien. Formenel and I were at the back of the group. We decided as a joke to sneak up on and play-attack Aragorn and Legolas, but they somehow felt us coming and drew their swords mockingly as we came near.
Then we were at a hall. LMP was at the front, writing on a whiteboard; we were recapping what had happened in the game. LMP gave us an anagram of a character we had come across. I guessed it was 'social master', but it was actually 'illusion master;' he was some sort of hooded figure who had told us something or other near the beginning.
And, er, that's it. Somewhat bizarre, I admit, but not the weirdest thing my subconscious has come up with.
Also, in my previous post, I made a mistake in my and Oddwen's dream totals. This has been corrected.

I think what happened to me was more the near waking up/ooh this is wrong it must be a dream kind of thing. Not that I can claim my psyche is undamaged necessarily..... Also this dream was quite explainable. My goddaughter had just been to a Mud meet near London and I had been thinking that I must look into booking a hotel for the LOTR musical which I am going to with her... and I had also been thinking about Oxonmoot and possible Downer meetings ... just my brain recycling the day.......

We're studying dreaming in Psych at the moment? What makes you think lucid dreaming is bad for the psyche? I'm not sure we can determine this withour determining the purpose of dreams.
REM sleep, which is the part where we dream, occurs as the mind ascends through various stages of sleep, ie going from Stage 4 (the deepest level of sleep, aka the rest and repair stage) to stage 3, or even from Stage 2 to Stage 1 (the lightest level of sleep, or "half-asleep.") Typically, the subconscious mind is in control of REM. With lucid dreaming , the conscious mind is in control. REM sleep's exact purpose is not known, but it is known that a lack of REM sleep causes extreme aggression and irritability, and can lead to permamnent personality changes.
Lucid dreaming in and of itself is not dangerous, but doing it all the time can actually simulate a lack of REM, due to the lack of activity from the sunconscious.
Also, we learnt that dreams happen in real time. They may feel like they're longer, but this happens because of jumps forward in dream-time to skip dull parts of the dream. Each minute of dreaming equates to one minute of sleep.
Quite different from what I learned, though it's been a year or two since then. However, keep in mind that psychological theory is constantly changing, (just think of Freud's ideas  ) so this whole thing may be moot, and lucid dreaming may be better for you than regular dreaming, but that's not the theory I learned.
Hence why we say "practicing psychologist." ;)

I had one last night!
I was in London, at the train station by Gatwick airport, and I was looking for Roa - I had to catch her before she left and tell her something important. I had a big fuzzy yellow scarf wrapped all around my face, for some reason. I saw Hookbill sitting on a bench and he told me I got there five hours too late and missed the train; Roa was already on her way to Gondor - which happened to be in England. Then Hookbill turned into Nabokov and started lecturing me about how I should always drive on the left side of the road, and I woke up.

I had a dream that me and my family moved to California - and that once we passed over the San Andreas fault we could turn into rhinoceruses at will. (...just don't try to interpret that bit, please.)
The first place I went was the library, where I bought cigarettes. (?) I then became weak and shaky, and sold them and my others (???) back at a profit. I turned around and was so glad to finally meet Estelyn Telcontar - I mentioned to her an idea I had for REB, namely, a half-dwarf princess.
"No-one has half-dwarfs in their stories, it would be so funny," said I.
"WE did. Snori. In REB II," replied Esty tersely.
"Yes, but..." but she had already walked away muttering to herself.
Then I put up some pictures I had taken of myself in some midaeval gear - short cloak, short pants and green tights, and a bunch of people commented on them. I remember Eomer saying "Hubba hubba, though it's really impractical." Many many people commented on my hair being a bad length, "It could get caught on rocks & trees when you're crossing streams with a barbarian horde!" TomBrady12 was very supportive, though.
One of the replies seemed to be some sort of invitation form - there was very little written on it, save for "We should meet - Jennifer". On the second page, there was a list of a few classes, and the one called "Bachlameil Virgining - AGAIN" was bolded. I wondered if this was from Diamond18 because it was time-stamped from Wisconsin, but I knew her name wasn't Jennifer and she would have written a lot more down. I finally figured out it was a code, and that someone wanted to blow up the San Andreas fault so that California would fall into the sea, and so I got out of the state as quickly as I could.
Really weird coincidence? The song I woke up to was Tool's "Aenima".

Last night I dreamt that I lived in a room in my aunts house, it was however owned by some stranger. Apparently I had been living there for years and got along good with all the others that also lived ther. . .it must have been around 7 people. I walk into the living room and meets Kath, who has been living in a room in the cellar for years, but only now do we meet. We start to chat about how weird it is that we only meet now. . .

I had a dream that I went to a café. Kath and Lhuna were sitting at one table. I asked if I could join them and they agreed. Kath started to complain: "I wan't Eomer to be here, he's my favourite 'downer and I haven't seen him in ages!" And, surprise surprise, Eomer walks in and joins the company. There's a sort of awkward silence.
Then I start to talk. I chat about something very weird and it goes on and on. Eomer looks at me, obviously thinking I'm a freak of some sort, Kath's so thunderstruck that she can't help laughing and Lhuna (who too seems to think I'm a weirdo of some sort) giggles. Then Lhuna asks if I will come to the supermarket with her (she needed to buy bread) and she tells Kath and Eomer that they can go to her place and we'll all meet there soon.
I and Lhuna start walking to the supermarket. We chat about some random things. Then we arrive at the supermarket. I say I must buy a disposable camera, since I want to take photos of them since it was such a good chance to brought me to meet them. First we go to by some bread. Lhuna chooses some rye bread. The cover looks familiar. "Hey, that's made in Finland!" I tell Lhuna, "weird that they sell finnish bread in the Philippines." Lhuna agrees that it's weird and then we buy the bread and the camera. Then we go to Lhuna's place and Kath and Eomer were there, but then the dream ended.
That was a weird dream and I can only guess why did I have such a dream. But that me flooding nonsense chat might have something to do with werewolf: yesterDay Kath said it's difficult to form a picture of me when I'm not flood-posting, I replied her that now I will flood-post since I'm in Noggie's place (which has a working net access) and at the end of the day she remarked she had certainly had the flood-posting she had missed...

I was lucky enough to have a dream about the downs last night, since it's been awhile. I dunno if this was Nyquil-induced effect (I've had bronchitis for the last week and a half), but it was kindof...interesting.
I drift into some town that first looks for the most part normal, until I somehow end up in the business/old part of town. I'm trying to find a payphone to call a ride, but whenever I look for one, there isn't one to be found. So, finally I end up meeting first Hookbill, but he's in a hurry to his office at the downer and can't tell me exactly where the sole existing pay phone is in town. So, I walk further in town and I meet Child, who is operating a boarding house. I ask about the infamous payphone, and all I end up hearing about is how much I should rent a room, just for a few nights. I end up paying for a room, and then walk out into the street and bump into Gil, who's running with a bunch of things in a bag. I ask about the payphone and all I am told is to be quiet and I didn't see anything that was in the bag, so he runs off. I end up just going to find the payphone myself, and end up in a much older part of the town where I meet Rune, who's standing on a street corner selling cotton candy and a bunch of other things, but he's wearing a police suit and looking for someone. I ask if he at least, knew where the payphone was and he gives me a look like i'm blind or something and points behind him at a payphone. Then he sells me some candy, a pen and paintbrushes. Then Gil appears around the corner and Rune runs after him as I'm calling someone to pick me up.
Yes, I know, rather long and yawn-inducing. Though, I'm rather curious what Gil had exactly... :p

Last night I had a very odd dream...
I was on some weird island with this huge mountain in the middle, but the mountain had a cliff that circles around the island. In front of this cliff was a beach that spanned all around the island. At some point in the cliff face was a Barrow in which all the Dowenrs were living and having a party of some sort. I was on the beach at the other side of the island where Eomer was telling me about some defencive system that he'd helped set up, namely Rune was at the top with cave wall that could be collapsed to send rocks tumbling down on invaders.
I looked out to sea and caught a glimpse of a black shape moving across it. Suddenly, Rune was running down the cliff (some how) and shouting 'their coming!' then he encouraged us to run. I looked again and saw that thousands of Orcs were coming from over the sea.
Naturally, I ran. We turned a corner in the cliff and ran down the beach, I looked back to see that the Orcs were coming up behind us. So Eomer said, 'I'll hold them off' to which Rune replied, 'there are too many' but Eomer went anyway. He seemed to vanish in the mass of Orcs. 'Oh dear,' said I.
Fea appeared next and asked us what the trouble was. Rune explained and she sighed and said 'not again!' and ran with us towards the Barrow. We suddenly saw all the other Downers congregated for no reason and began to shout 'run away! Run away!' so they did. Gil-Gallad then said that he knew someone who looked like him and so could confuse the Orcs. He dashed off randomly and the rest of us ran towards the Barrow.
Once we got there the gate was shut and The Barrow Wight was desperately shouting, 'Open the Gates!' over and over. They eventually did and we began to file into the Barrow, but the Orcs were almost on us until Gil returned with his twin and started dancing. The orcs then started chasing him. Thinlómien then said something about getting 'reinforcements' and ran off. For some reason, I didn't go into the Barrow but wandered after the Orcs who were chasing Gil. But doing that only made them chase me. Fortunately, before they could catch me, Thinlómien returned with an army of Penguins who began to fight the Orcs.
Then I woke up...

Last night I had a dream that SPM was directing a play in some finnish theatre. Noggie bought tickets for me, my sis and himself. We never a ctually got there in the dream, I just remember Nogrod complaining it's stupid that we of all the people going to see it don't know anyone else there, since we're not very close to SPM and that he's the only one we can talk to. (The other people in the audience were mostly SPM's friends and family.) I comferted him by saying that maybe Rune could come to Finland to see it too, and we could chat with him.
I had also another dream, or then it was the same dream, but anyway, I had a dream that I was seeing a school psychiatrist and she asked me about social relationships. All I managed to say was: "I know TGWBS and Mac from BD."

I had a dream that it was autumn and I wanted to arrange a live ww/mafioso party just before Christmas. I was planning to send invitations to some 'downers (I can't remember them all, but at least to Volo, Durelin, Anguirel, Rune, Lalwendë and Lhuna). The invitation cards were made or white paper and they had a picture of Lordi (the Finnish Eurovision winner from last year) with a hat of a christams elf. Nogrod (in whose place the party was to be held) was very sceptic about the idea. "No one will come to Finland just to drink coffee, eat gingerbread cakes and play some werewolf", he warned me. "Think about Durelin, for example. She lives in the other side of the Atlantic. If you want to meet her, you should both go to London and meet there." Nevertheless, I wanted to arrange the party. I posted all the invitation cards, and the weirdest thing in it all was that I post a little Danish grammar with each of them... The dream ended before the actual party started or I was able to find out who were coming. Weird.

This is the fourth night in a row!
I had three short BD-related dreams last night.
1) I was in school and I talked with a friend and a friend of hers I did not know. My friend had to leave and I was left there in the corridor with her friend. "Have you ever been to the Barrow-Downs?" I asked him. "Yes, sometimes, my screen name is the guy who be short", he replied casually. I was a bit sceptic about it: "I think you're lying. I know him and I know he doesn't live in Finland, doesn't look like you and I doubt you'd have managed to get that much reputation points or posts." He then admitted he had been lying and said thast he had made around hundred posts a few years ago with the name thefirestarguy.
2) Nogrod told me that he had invited LMP via PM to Finland and he had agreed. He also said that they had spoken on the phone and his phone bill was around 300 euros. "It's very expensive to call abroad", he told me. I was curious about the phone call: "How was his voice? Did he have a horrible yankee accent?" "He had a slightly nasal voice", Noggie replied, "and he spoke very quietly. And he did have a quite american accent, I'm afraid."
3) I was in school and received an sms from Nogrod. It said: "SPM has been lynched. He was a wolf."
When I woke up, I had one unread sms. And you can guess from who it was and what did it say... :D

I had a dream that I and Noggie were stanting at a bus stop. Near the bus stop, the road made a very sharp turn. The people driving by never managed to keep on the road, but all the time slided to the snowy banks in the turning point. I and Noggie were watching the cars and predicting whose car the next to slide to the snow would be. (I assure you we aren't this sadistic in RL... :p) I said: "The next one's Mithalwen, I'm sure." A white car appeared, driven by Mith. It came to the turn, and just like so many cars before it slided off the road. "The next is a suicide bomber", Noggie predicted. There came a black car, slided off the road, ended up beside Mith's car and exploded. Mith then managed to drive back to the road. She seemed to be alright.
Mith disappeared and we kept standing at the bus stop. A white car appeared. "Now that's Mith again!" I said. "No, it isn't, it's another suicide bomber", Nogrod claimed. But I was right, and it was Mith again and her car ended up off the road again. Then another white car appeared and the driver drove it very fast off the road. When it hit the snow bank, it exploded. Soon after a cowboy-style wagon with a motor appeared, slided off the road and exploded too, beside Mith's car like the white car just a while ago.
"I hope Mith's alright... Being attacked by three suicide bombers in a row and staying alive would be a miracle", I said. But then behind the smoke and ash, Mith drove back to the road. She was unharmed and even her car was only slightly damaged. She drove away and waved to us smiling as she passed us.
You can make anything that you will of that dream... But I'm pretty sure my subconsicious had bad conscience since Mith wasn't necessarily in my werewolf Christmas party -dream... But I don't that was a very fair compensation! :D
edit: I also had a dream that I was writing in a BD RPG with Legate.

Last night I dreamt I was on the Downs (so I just saw writing, no actual people).
Firstly I was on the WWXXX Admit thread in post-discussion. Durelin was saying how amazed she was that the village hadn't used a shortlist, as it would obviously benefit them. :p Then Lalaith started talking about a downer called Lalaf, whose existence I doubt.
Then a bit of my dream was influenced by reading about Menel's new game in which the no. of wolves is unknown. I dreamt I was in a field at night under starlight (very Elvish) with a multitude of others. We discussed the possibility that maybe there were no wolves - what if they were all just cows? Suddenly my viewpoint was that of a cow, and I wandered here and there, chewing on cud. It all seemed fine - of course there were no wolves! Just cows walking around at night. But then I, still a cow, wandered out into the grass away from the people sleeping on the fields, and I was suddenly surrounded by wolves.
Ahem. Back to normality. Then I saw that Lhunardawen had created a new thread in N&N entitled "MICHAELDAY!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY FORMENDACIL!!!!!!!!!!" Even though his birthday has gone, and Michaelmas is far away!

Boro-porridge? Please explain this weirdness! :D
Quite odd that, too, as I ate a load of porridge for breakfast on the 13th, and I always eat oats raw with cold milk on them - I only had the porridge because it was there in a big steaming vat in the hotel dining room and couldn't be turned down.
I had a freaky dream on Thursday night where this black bat was trapped in the room with me and it panicked and flew at my face and got stuck to it, and it felt like an 'orrible clammy rubbery thing glued to half of my face.
the guy who be short
03-17-2007, 02:19 PM
Oh... I meant Beren-porridge. In any case, I repost one of my earliest dreams, post 48:
I dreamt I was at davem and Lalwende's wedding. Just before it really got started, they mentioned how they wanted to give special thanks to Beren87. I looked around, but couldn't see him - until I noticed Beren87 was a small pile of porridge in Lal's hands.
I offered to take Beren87 from her so she could go and get married, but the porridge quivered, and she explained he was afraid of me. So we got some more porridge (Computer-porridge) and mixed it with the Beren87-porridge so that Beren87 could talk through a computer's speakers.
I have a strange subconscious.
Also, last night, after learning Kath was going to Finland, I dreamt that I too was going there, but that I was going to meet Lommy (and Nogrod, of course, though the poor guy didn't get a mention in my dream).
Though there is no need to go there... they will come to me (I hope)! :D

I had a strange dream the other night, and not surprisingly it was about werewolf. (Sort of.) I dreamed the the BD was a physical place- people still posted as a forum, but the forums were distinct places. It was all very apocalyptic future-esque, all black and gold but with a dark red sky. There were two forums solely for werewolf- our werewolf and this very elite group of werewolf players, but their werewolf wasa different version. They lived in this tower, and we lived below it on a river. (It was a yucky river- the kind that runs through the slums.) The elite werewolf players harassed us constantly. They had these bombs that they would drop on us that would connect to form velociraptors that would attack us. So I had a plan to stop that. They kept all their bombs in a container on the side of their tower. SPM, Nogrod, and I took a flying boat (it looked like a small version of a Chinese house boat, but it had an engine under it that allowed to fly- if you've ever seen 5th Element, it was kind of like the flying boat that the Chinese food vendor has at the beginning.) We were going to cut a hole in the container, and drop all the bombs into the river, where they would drown or disolve.
Unfortunately, when I tried to open the container, it was like it was side scenary in a video game- I clicked on it (with my mouse) but I had no effect. SPM asked what was wrong, and I was trying to explain to him why I couldn't do anything, when the elite werewolf players discovered us. They fired their lazers at us, but fortunately they hit their own container and ripped a hole in it. All of the bombs sank into the river and disolved. Even the few that were activated only turned into velociraptors which couldn't swim (they have small arms) and drowned anyways.
For some reason, the mod of the elite forum talked with the BW and had transfered to that forum. They showed me where all of the bombs were, and how each player there earned them (through victories in their games.) I decided that I had to earn as many bombs as I could so I could take out the elite tower from the inside. But before I could play, I had to fill out an application. I kept trying to point the players in the elite tower (none of whom had names that I recognized) to look at our forum and our games, because I was convinced they'd like it better, but the mod of that forum (someone who had no name but was very powerful, put a stop to that. Then my phone rang and I woke up.
Weird, huh?
Roa, I felt scared when I read the first few sentences. I thought "Why is Roa copying my dream?". 619 (http://forum.barrowdowns.com/showpost.php?p=510227&postcount=619). And there was a river going through the school grounds too. Luckily no bombing. And I took a flying bus there...

I don't believe I read your dream before, but I dare say our views of two seperate Werewolf forums are a great deal different. ;) If I did read it, though, it no doubt had some influence on my own.
The low class forum of werewolf was more of a post-apocalypitc city slum. Not really a school yard. And the elite forum was a black tower, with a wide section around the top (like that tower in Chigago, only sinister) where the elite players lived. And they weren't sitting around voting.....

So, after cruelly leaving Nogrod out of my dream last time, I had a dream about him last night. I really struggled to recall it too - I had to sit in my room, chanting "Nogrod, Nogrod" over to myself like a mantra until bits of it returned.
Nogrod was going somewhere, so we all sent him cards to wish him well. I'm not sure exactly where he was going. Anyway, we all send cards, but lots of people wrote them in Quenya because it was similar to Finnish (rather than English, which he speaks perfectly... bizarre dream people!). I particularly remember Lalwende's card - she had tried to write it in Quenya, but she didn't know it well enough. It ended up half in Quenya, half in English, which made me lol when I read it. :D

Last night, I dreamt about Oddwen. It's lucky I remembered this dream - I was thinking about Oddy's Sims game in the morning, which suddenly sparked the memory of this dream.
There was a large mountain, fairly forested, with a lot of people going about on it. There were a few beaten paths here and there. I escorted Oddy over the mountain by these paths so she could get home. Also, every so often we would stumble across a small clear box of fairy cakes and cookies and pastries and other tasty treats, just lying on the ground! Obviously we took them.
After I had got Oddy to the other side, I gave her some boxes of sweets and went on my way back over the mountain with an armful of sweet boxes.
A psychoanalysis is necessary, I feel. I think the dream represents my excitement about the Sims game. I escorted Oddwen to make sure no harm came to her, and I gave her sweets at payment for having such a good idea.
I shall not go into the Freudian interpretation. After all, it's not hard: A tall structure like a mountain could only represent one thing!

So, I seem to have the most dreams, and have dreamt about the most people overall. However, Lommy and Oddy have more populous dreams than I do, fitting about 2 Downers into each dream. Lommy is the dark horse, and the only one of us to introduce more than one new downer to her subconscious per dream!
One explanation for my low rate of dreaming of new Downers (1 per 1.58) may be that I have dreamt of so many people, it's hard to find new people to dream of. However, many notable downers seem to not be on my list, so perhaps I'm just mentally conservative.
If these trends continue, I will have the most dreams, Oddy will have the most populous dreams, and Lommy will have dreamt of the most people. But that is just a guess.
In conclusion, I am searching for a life, honest.

Hmm. It seems that werewolf spreads a contagion of post analysis to other forums.
Any dreams where Downers donned a wolf pelt? Lost their clothes? Swam a lake and disappeared for seven years? I won't ask about developing hairy feet or hairy palms--those are already accounted for. :D

If we're going to make accurate records, I think a few old dreams of mine. Yes, old dreams. Two of them are from earlier times when I didn't post every single BD dream I had, only the funny ones. (It's a great pity, since I have probably forgotten some.)
Anyway, these two I can still recall...
1) I dreamed of the NBRB RPG. My character Lingwë, Kath's character Curamir and Dunwen's character Nimir were somewhere discussing. Or, they were half the characters, and half us three. Then, it turned out, that Curamir was actually a princess in disguise ( ) and that Lingwë was actually some king's jester.
2) I went to England and I met Kath. She greeted me in fluent Finnish. I was dumbstruck and asked: "How on earth can you speak Finnish?" "Well, Nilp taught me", she replied.
And then (while having that extraordinary BD dream rumba a short while ago) that the text in my telephone that tells in which profile the phone is (for example "silent") had turned from "mykkä" (means mute in Finnish) to "mormegil". (I didn't post this dream before since I thought I wouldn't be able to explain it English. It seems I was, but to explain it understandably, I don't know...)
So, my list that should be accurate:
Kath - 6
Ang - 4
morm - 4
Mith - 3
LMP - 3
Lhuna - 3
Sleepy - 2
spawn - 2
Glirdy - 2
Roa - 2
Spm - 2
Rune - 2

Nilp - 1
(I see TGWBS didn't have Noggie on my list. I think that was wise. So I also removed Volo from the list since I know him from RL and I might have had some non-BD related dreams involving him etc...)
Kath seems to be seriously haunting my dreams.
But weird. I had no idea that Ang and morm had appeared in my dreams that often!
PS. Thanks for calculating those TGWBS! Your researches are interesting! :)
Kath seems to be seriously haunting my dreams.
Dang, she's figured me out! And here was me thinking I was being sneaky.
I wish I could remember half as many dreams as you people. :(

I dreamt that the phantom (I think) had a shop, but he'd been hounded out of town by some people who hated him and forced him out. He put some signs on his shop saying that everything in them was now free, hurray! There was also another sign which was very odd, and just said lots of words ending in -im, something like "slim dim tim Fordim sim statim jim."
Anyway, I walked into the shop when it opened, and I was the first one there (with a RL friend). I immediately walked over to the book section, looked at it, and said something like "I see the Saucepan Man hasn't got here yet!" as I clearly thought he'd jump at the opportunity to get free books.
Then I sort of lounged around the shop for a while, did improbable things (i.e. reach very high shelves!) and woke up.

Well, two dreams to report.
In one, I was at Uni (I'm going in October! Yay!) in class for the first time. Unfortunately the professor turned out to be very, very pushy and generally annoying. We (the class) decided to get back at her by burning the sheets she handed out to us.
When she realised, she reacted in an annoyingly smug way, saying "You think you're so rebellious, but you're just conforming to each other." Then she handed out some sheets, saying that as we'd burnt the last sheets she gave us, we'd have to use the books. It also said "to the Finnish student - you will have to pay £2000 to buy the book." It was only then that I realised we had a Finnish student - Lommy!
So, let that be a lesson to you. If you ever come to Britain, don't burn things. :)
The other dreams was on the internet. Orominuialwen kept emailing me photos of her life. They were all incredibly boring (no offence Oro), but I couldn't think of a way to say so politely, so I had to keep receiving them. Then I went on the Downs to see that Brinn had been posting quite a lot.

Then I went on the Downs to see that Brinn had been posting quite a lot.
Me? Posting a lot? Well, then you know that must have been a dream. ;)
Though, I have been posting more than I normally do this past month...
The BD dreams I have almost always take place on the forum. I'm guessing perhaps it could be because I haven't met any of you in RL, so we'll have to see what happens when I finally do...
There are two dreams I can recall:
-A few months ago, I dreamt I was checking the Fellowship of the Fourth Age RPG thread and Child had posted up a save. Since we were in the middle of a transitional period of the RPG, instead of just putting of a regular save, she divided the post into sections, specifying what was going to happen here, here, and here. To illustrate what she was trying to explain, she used neon signs in each section and pretty little fireworks (much like H-I's avvie), though I get the feeling that the latter was just for our entertainment. Very interesting, I must say...
AND
-While I can have some pretty crazy dreams, sometimes they can also become too realistic. A few days ago, I woke up and got on the Downs, thinking Oddwen had joined the latest WW game. Much to my confusion, she had not. Only then did I realise that all this must have happened in my imagination...

A few nights ago I had a BD-dream. I and my team (for the Prometheus-camp next summer) were living in a house. One day, a neighbour passed by. She was a huge, sturdy, relatively fair, scary-looking young woman. She turned out to be Eomer's big sister.
"How cool", I said, "I assume Eomer's our neighbour as well, then?"
"Err... no... well... in fact... yes... he does live in the same house with me."
"But that's great! We could come to see him some day!"
"Err... well... actually he's not at home right now. No, he's away."
"What about the dutchwoman then?"
"She's not there either. I'll be going now. Good day to you folks!"
"Good day to you as well!" we replied and she went away.
As soon as she was far enough not to hear I claimed: "I'm sure she keeps Eomer and Cailín in her house as hostages or prisoners! I'm so sure she just lied to us!" "She was certainly lying, you could see that", my team mates agreed.
So, we decided to go on a rescue mission. We invaded the neighbouring house and Eomer's sister (who now looked like Whitney Houston) attacked us fiercely with her nails and teeth.
I have weird dreams. :D
Eomer of the Rohirrim
04-23-2007, 05:25 AM
Amusing, and pretty easy to explain. You are, of course, thinking of Biff, my keeper. He is not female but he is huge and sturdy. I have never seen this Whitney Houston-lookalike, but I believe Biff has many accomplices in whatever master-plan he is involved in.
There must be some other Barrowdowner in need of rescue; your dreams must be misdirected. Yes, Biff keeps us in cages; but I have been assured that there are good reasons for this.

In amongst my usual jumble of mad dreams last night one featured me looking in despair at my collection of LotR action figures, arrayed in their cabinet. I was in despair as the Sauron one had slain some of the others and their arms were loose. Boromir88 and Ian McKellen were forcibly removing talking-Sauron-action-figure from my hands and telling me he had to be punished or their arms would never recover. And then davem made talking-Sauron-action-figure drink some cough medicine.
Yes, I had et some Dairylea on toast for my supper.

Two dreams last night... well actually, I had loads. Including several BDs ones. But I can only remember two of them in any detail, alas.
First, I dreamt that Fea lived about 15 minutes from me, next to this Neolithic Henge (such things exist in Europe). I think she'd made her own dwelling to be honest... the back swayed dreadfully in the wind, and it all seemed to be made of planks of wood nailed together. Fea used it as an art studio.
In the dream, I had discovered that jelly babies and coconut pulp taste delicious together. Fea sent me some as a gift, but she accidentally sent the parcel to France by accident. My French assistant brought it back for me though.
Then I dreamt Rune had written on his livejournal about how he told his parents he was gay. Dream-me thought "hang on a sec... Rune loves women," but I went along with it anyway because everybody else did. He got 12 comments, one of which said "this is the fastest anybody has ever got so many comments!" Er... yeah, sorry Rune. :p

I had a BDs dream yesterday. I jotted what I could remember down on a paper right when I woke up. I don't usually have long dreams that I can remember any details of, so this is a special treat.
I was in Bree at the Prancing Pony eating an awesome steak. Kuru was Barliman for some reason, and he warned me not to talk to anyone there because they were upset about something or other.
Oddwen was playing the drums in the corner, but whenever I looked over there she would say something like "Stop looking at me, you're making me nervous." And she threw her sticks at me after I kept looking. And I seem to remember Hookbill telling her to calm down (HB was playing a flute next to Oddwen).
Beth and Esty walked up and insisted that the steak I was eating was theirs, and that I needed to reimburse them. I wanted to explain that I bought it at the Inn, but they talked nonstop and didn't let me get a word out. I put my head down and covered my ears till they left. But if I'm remembering right, when I looked up I wasn't in Bree any more, but at some house or another, and I think I was playing poker with several people including Vesper Lynd, who was really Fea, and Anthony Hopkins, who was actually Mithadan.
Yes, yes, yes.... weird.
Of course it made perfect sense in my dream.

Bree represents the Downs and the Prancing Pony represents a particular thread. Your consumption of steak represents your posting in that thread and the fact that the steak is awesome shows that you are enjoying posting there. Kuru, however, represents that side of you that constructs skilful and logically correct arguments. This side of you is warning you about something.
Oddwen is playing the drums with drumsticks – wooden objects. And she too is warning you against doing something – something to do with wood. The importance of the drumsticks is highlighted by the fact that she throws them at you. Hookbill, playing a light instrument, the flute, represents your light-hearted side.
Beth and Esty, representing the Downs community in general, are telling you that it will be costly for you to continue eating the steak, ie posting in the thread. The game of poker, a risky pursuit, also indicates that what you are doing is risky.
Putting this all together, you are being warned about posting light-heartedly in a particular thread, relating to wood, but in a manner which does not meet your usual standard of debate. In your dream, you are telling yourself that, if you continue to do so, it will be at risk of great cost.
Clearly, this dream relates to your posts in the “I Found the Entwives” thread. It is warning you that, if you continue to pursue your ridiculous and logically flawed point in that thread, you will risk costing yourself your reputation and standing in the Downs community.
;) :p

Were Hooky and I any good?
I'm not sure. You stopped whenever I looked, which was often. No one in my dream complained, though, so you must've been decent. Though I'm not sure a flute-drums duo would be my choice for music.
And SPM- that's a good interpretation.
If you'll say I'm right on the Entwife thread, I might just say that you are right on this thread. Deal?

I've had BD dreams for four nights in a row, but I'm not too excited since they haven't (except for two) been very interesting. I haven't been around a lot to post them here and yesterday when I could have, I forgot it... Anyway, here they come.
Sunday-Monday Night
Legate was gloating because he was going to Oxonmoot this year.
Monday-Tuesday night
Dream 1: I and my three best friends (including Aganzir) and Diamond went to see J.R.R. and Christopher Tolkien. They lived in a cottage near a lake in a forest in Finland. We had 1½ hours to talk with them . We only chatted about CoH and Di kept asking questions and I found no polite way to interrupt her or the Tolkiens, so I just sat there listening. When the 1½ had passed and Di was the only one who had got to ask questions, Christopher agreed to take us to my grandparents' place. He had a red car. When we left him and thanked him I apologised that I hadn't been polite enough to him and his father since I had not used the polite plural "you" (like "vous" in French) when speaking to them...
Dream 2: Saucepan Man decided to arrange "the ultimate BD meeting" somewhere in the Finnish countryside. I was spending time at a friend's summerhouse nearby (again with those three friends of mine), so I and Aganzir decided to go there. Well, the whole thing was a chaos. There were masses of teenagers who had either nothing to do with BD or were members with less than 10 posts. SPM was quite desperate, since no one he knew was around. He asked if everybody could present themselves with their screenname. With every person his face grew more grim. He had never heard of anyone, until Volo emerged almost out of nowhere. It seemed that was a comfort to SPM. But then, again. Tens of unknown teenagers. Then, finally I stood up and said. "Hi, I'm Thinlómien, or Lommy, whichever name you prefer." At last Saucepan looked less desperate. However, it turned out that I and Volo were the only active members who were there. I and Aga spent some time in the meeting, chatting with people. When a few hours had passed, we decided to leave and I went to look for SPM to thank him for the meeting. SPM (who looked very tired) said: "Hi, Lommy. Have you had good time? Did you see Celuien, she just visited and left?" I cursed silently, since I hadn't. So all this for seeing only SPM and him not even having time to chat (and seeing Volo who I could see in RL anyway). "No, unfortunately I didn't meet her", I said. Then I tried to politely say that I and Aga were going to leave since the meeting wasn't too fun... The dream ended when we left to a train station and Sauce (who did not seem very content) waved us goodbye.
The night before last night
All I remember is that it involved Eomer.
Last night
I was going to plan a summer camp with a team involving Durelin and Firefoot, and they had volunteered for it even though they had no idea what was it all even about.

I had a dream last night that definately included the phantom and TGWBS, as well as theoretical others. It was a long and complicated dream that mostly took place inside of a video game my brother was playing. There was lava. Mario. Those little tree guys from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. TGWBS and I were hanging out inside the game watching the action, acting as commentators. I think at some point the phantom saved us from... lava? Maybe? Got me. I just know he was there.

I think it was on Monday, when I had a Werewolf dream probably coming from my forced absence in Werewolf (insert a crying smilie). I can say it now since the game has ended (I couldn't post it earlier, because it "contains spoilers" :D):
I as a Werewolf in a Werewolf game, though this one took place in RL. It was just a game, but we were physically present there. The game took place on an island, I don't remember it much, but I know there was really clear water near the shore. It happened, that on Day 2, I was really happy that I survived the first Day, although (here the dream copies precisely the stated first day votes of WW XXXII) Boromir88 and Nogrod wanted to lynch me and I was really afraid the other villagers might join them. Nevertheless, I was alive so I went for a walk on the beach. Suddenly there were also two 9-years old children from the class I am teaching. One of them was one very loud, yet funny boy, and I knew he was the Hunter. They were sitting on a rubber boat along with Nogrod (who looked like that guy from the Simpsons who works in the comics-store) and Mac. "The Hunter is going to kill me, if he learns that I am a wolf," I thought. "I must kill them now, but carefully." So I moved silently past the rubber boat and then turned over the boat. All of them drowned, but I knew they cannot drown really because the game rules don't allow that :) , so after a few seconds under the water they came out - the rules were that if they are completely under the water at one moment, they are considered to be dead. Then the 9-year old boy told me that it was a great game though he knew from my posts (??? we were in RL there, speaking, not posting) that I am a Wolf, and then Mac appeared and said that he was sure Gil-Galad was a wolf, but that he wonders who the Seer was; we began looking for the Seer yet we couldn't find him.
That's about all I remember from it. Pretty crazy, uh?

I had a dream that I and Noggie invited spawn, Rune and piosenniel (who looked like a female version of one of her previous avvies) yo Noggie's place and I said the guests shouldn't see my and my sister's room, since it's so messy.
I think it was on Monday, when I had a Werewolf dream probably coming from my forced....blahblahblah
Haha! Great! I think I should put that underwater rule into my next game.
I too had a WW dream last night.
I was in a train. There was a two floor bed and I was on the top shelf probably reading a book. From below I hear Roa talk about whether she should vote for Lommy or Menel. Both had already one vote. The living were Roa, Lommy, Menel and Mac. I talked with Roa about the game and suggested that she votes Lommy.
Then I logged on BD and looked in the Lost Age thread. It was Day 5 going on there and Lommy (+ Mac) were to be lynched. I was terrified as that didn't work with the narration I had thought of. I also began wondering why they are still playing, and it was because Kath didn't notice that the game had ended. I talked with Kath and tried to think of a way not to have Lommy and Mac lynched.
Finally I understood that they were all Innocent (or nearly Innocent) and just posted in the game thread that there is no reason to continue playing as all of you are Innocent.

I had a BD dream the night before last night.
Rikae was walking up the hill I walk up every morning from the metro station to school. She looked like she looks in the photos she has posted on the photopage thread and wore hippie-ish clothes. She was walking quite slowly because she had to use those sticks people use when they've broken a leg or something (I don't know what they're called in English).
Mac was standing on top of the hill, leaning to the wall of a kiosk. He too looked like in his photopage pic and he was wearing a leather jacket and sunglasses. I think he was smoking, but I'm not too sure.
Then, suddenly, the focus changed. I was sitting on the sofa watching TV in Noggie's place. The TV screen showed a map of Russia. Then, it switched to some sort of a talk show studio. Rikae and Mac were traveling in Russia together and right now, it was told, they were in Moscow. A Finnish TV channel was interviewing them. So there they sat on a red sofa, looking a bit lost, talking with the young, blonde hostess of the programme about their experiences during the journey.
The dream ended with me declaring: "If Rikae and Mac are in Moscow and they let some Finnish TV reporters talk with them, they'd better come to Finland too and talk with me as well."

I had a vague dream featuring Roa and Di (who did not look at all how they look like in the photopage) and quarreling with my little sister.
Also, I had a dream that spawn had signed up to Rikae's game and I was slightly upset because I hadn't notified her in my post where I said I was glad Ang and Kath were returning to ww though I surely should have. Actually, I did not know if this was a dream or not so the first thing I did today online was to check if spawn truly was in Rikae's game. And unfortunately she wasn't...

The outside element means that it's a "natural" or "right" or "correct" thing that I'm interpreting.
And Hookbill with a whiteboard - he is explaining that spelling is as simple and as weirdly crumbly under your fingers as the dry-erase markers he was undoubtedly using.

There will be four wolves in my game, anyway. :smokin:

In the middle of one of my random dreams last night there was a bit where i was in a crowded room and I was really angry. Then Rune came along and told me that I just had to go and listen to some Justin Timberlake and it would be OK!
I woke up and thought Eh?!
A few nights ago I had a dream that I was in a a rather big modern house, staying for there the night because I was in a foreign town because of some meeting. There were many pretty identical rooms, but one of the was Rune's room which he gave to me for some reason (he wasn't in the dream). So I asked "Where is Rune's room" and slept there in a corner on a mat.

Actually two nights ago I had a dream that there were 1,500 messages in my PM Inbox and I could only get rid of 33 at a time. Yes, those were the exact numbers. It was very annoying in the dream because I had a grim feeling there was some real-life obligation I had in ten minutes or so but I had to get rid of all these first or no-one could PM me!

I had a dream that Macalaure and I were going to cook something, but when we opened the oven, we found The Guy who be Short hiding inside. Then TGWBS turned into Rune...:p
That's actually the second dream I had involving Macalaure and cooking, oddly. The other was that we were in the kitchen of the house where I lived at 13, with my mother, cooking breakfast. I thought the eggs had gone bad, but Mac thought they weren't and wanted to cook them.

Last night I dreamt that durelin annouced on her livejournal that the Vatican had declared independence. Dream-me got confused about who it had declared independence from, and decided it was Israel for some reason; in reality it was probably from the Church/Basilica. Which is only slightly less bizarre.
There is a backstory but I warn you, it doesn't involve BDs or Tolkien and is somewhat nonsensical. Here goes.
In some far off place, there was a powerful witch who was going around killing all the less important witches and wizards. She imprisoned one such withc in her castle. The ghosts of all the murdered witches and wizards came back one night and raided the castle in vengeance; about this time the castle, while retaining its looks, became the Vatican, and the witch locked up in irons became me. The ghosts took the Pope (probably the High Witch transformed; he looked nothing like the real Pope, and more like Lord Farquaad) and locked him up next to me.
Then the raid was over and afterwards somebody freed the Pope, but left me there. I was only freed later, and I don't really remember the rest. For some reason, though, all this lead to the Vatican declaring independence from the Pope.
This was inspired by an episode of the Fairly Oddparents.
And yes, I do have odd dreams. It's got to the point where I prefer dreaming to waking. In the past week alone, in the dream-world, I've explored Ancient Egyptian tombs, observed Iraq invading France and the subsequent effects on the British public transport system, and dreamt a few coherent stories with cool plots.

I have those sorts of dreams sometimes too. Actually, as kids, my little brother and I discovered we were dreaming of the same non-existant castles, cities, etc. and made a map of them.
For some reason, Lord Farquaad as the Pope seems quite reasonable.

Lommy: 40 different people in dreams. 82 dream-people. 43 total dreams. Average 1.91 people per dream. 1 new person dreamt of every 1.10 dreams. Started dreaming 01/06/2005 (713 days ago), so 1 new dream every 16.6 days.
Compared to this on 21/3/07:
TGWBS: 38 different people in dreams. 75 dream-people. 60 total dreams. Average 1.25 people per dream. 1 new person dreamt of every 1.58 dreams.
Oddwen: 28 different people in dreams. 62 dream-people. 31 total dreams. Average 2 people per dream. 1 new person dreamt of every 1.11 dreams.
Lommy: 28 different people in dreams. 51 dream-people. 27 total dreams. Average 1.89 people per dream. 1 new person dreamt of every 0.96 dreams.
It's interesting to note that how often we dream of a new person (somebody we have not dreamt of before) has remained quite stable. The only noteworthy thing is that Lommy has now passed the 1.00 barrier, meaning she no longer on average dreams of somebody knew in each dream she has, as before. Her rate of dreaming of new people is slowing.
The average people in each dream remains almost the same, thought the gap between Oddy and Lommy is closing.
I still have the most dreams, and the most dream-people overall. However, Lommy's subconscious seems to be exploding at an incredible rate and has almost as many dream-people as I do, and almost as many different Downers within them. I predicted this would happen in March.
Oddwen is stagnating.
For the first time today, I have also included the dream frequency. I was astounded by how early we all started dreaming, and also by the fact that we all started fairly close to one another. I found that I dream exactly twice as frequently as Oddwen, with Lommy somewhere inbetween us.
So, future predictions remain more or less the same. I will continue to have the most dreams of all of us. Lommy will soon surpass me and have the most dream-people due to a combination of populous dreams and fairly frequent dreaming. She will also have the most different Downers in her dreams. The only thing I change from my verdict in March is that Lommy may end up with more populous dreams than Oddwen, leaving Oddwen no first place prize at all!
Yes. I do take pleasure in doing this.

I had a dream connected with the Barrow-Downs and it had Roa in it, kind of...
My sister and I were going through the Photo page and we began talking about how beautiful Roa's wedding was. So we tried to find a picture of her...but we never did, quite. Well, we did, but not the one we wanted. We were looking for the first one she posted of her wedding (before she posted all her wedding pictures) so that we could show our oldest sister...
And that was all. Besides Pop becoming suspicious and telling us we couldn't get on the Barrow-Downs any more, but that was depressing, so I won't mention it. (:p)

"This is great," said I in my dream. "I'm messing up TGWBS's math, and creating a great story!"
That was five-ish in the morning...now of course all I can remember is that Kath was the mentor-type person, Lommy was a face in the crowd, and Dancing Spawn (called "U-Spawn" in my dream) was the villain. And that the sword fights at the cliff's edge were supposed to be "really different".

Last night I dream Lalwende & Davem came to my town. I spotted them in a shop that doesn't really exist and instantly recognised them, even though davem looked nothing like he does in real life. He was an old man of about 60, and Lal didn't look like her pic either
I raced towards them, but they moved off before I could talk to them. I saw them get on a local bus, so I got on too and talked to them. When I talked to them they chit-chatted a little, but I suspected that they weren't the real Lalwendavem because they didn't mention the BDs.
Our bus just went up and down my town before we got off.
