Most embarrassing BD moment: My first attempt at RPG was on the Unforbidden thread, and after writing meticulously checking everything and typing it in word I did a copy/paste job and some how I had a problem with it and didn't realize it for days. What happened is there was a huge chunk of the text that was repeated. (notice I put BD moment)
Most daring moment: Propsing to my wife or bungee jumping and skydiving. Another funny anecdote is my during my first year of college in a large psychology class, we had a packet of things we needed to do in the year and do a report on how they made us feel at the end of the year. One item was "do something you wouldn't normally do and report on how it made you feel" so during the middle of my professors lecture I rolled up that packet and walked up to the front of the class and hit him on the head with the packet and sat back down in my seat. The whole class stopped and wanted to know why. I was very quiet and shy in this class so it was a pretty big deal.

Most embarrassing moment: I dunno, in RL I can get embarrassed about stupid little tiny things, like when my friends and I try to race across the frozen lagoon in downtown Omaha while wearing super slick dress shoes- I get embarrassed if I stumble or slip just a tiny bit, which is stupid because everyone else is stumbling and slipping, if not falling down completely, but I just hate looking the least bit out of sorts no matter what the situation, if I was shot in both legs and then asked to run ten miles I would be embarrassed if I couldn't finish, I'm dumb like that
Most daring moment: I don't know, I usually don't do something unless the benefits far outweigh the risks, and situations like that don't require much daring, I suppose most people would see some of the no-ropes-and-all-by-myself cliff climbs I've done as daring, but really I'm extremely confident about it so it's not much of a risk in my mind and therefore not daring from my point of view
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sean Bean or Ian McKellen
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Cate Blanchett or Liv Tyler
Theme song: well, my theme song is without a doubt "The Weasels Will Slack" because my friend and I wrote it to be our theme song, but that doesn't mean anything to you because you've never heard it- so, hmm... I'll just pick a song that I like- how 'bout "Until the Day I Die" by Story of the Year
Style guru: usually me, sometimes I'll let one of my female friends choose between two shirts that I like just because I know it makes them feel really good
Most crucial accessory: baseball cap, phone
Greatest weakness: I can barely bring myself to do anything I don't feel like doing, and as you know there are a lot of unenjoyable things you have to do in life if you want to survive
Greatest strength: my charm/bs/glibness, I can do almost nothing at work but when a boss asks for a report I know just what things to say and how to twist words around that makes whichever boss it is think I'm the best employee they've ever had, I also use this ability when someone asks me about something I don't want to talk about- I'll say a whole lot of words without giving any real information and whoever it is that asked will leave with a big smile and not really realize until later that I didn't answer the question, so when they come back I do it again, they never learn- this gift has also been helpful over the years when talking to parents of a girl, after I've spent a while with them they pratically beg me to date their daughter, the dad usually takes a while, but I can usually win over the girl's mom pretty darn quick
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: really, it depends on what threads are going, it changes
Best Downer Buddy: must I name names? I just know I'd leave some deserving folks out, but Fea would be angry if I didn't say her, Mithalwen is delightful, I'd love to chill in RL with TORE, Boro, morm, Eomer, and Kuru, I swear I'm going to go to England and see the great SP someday... that's enough for now
Parting shot: the phantom has posted. This thread is now important.

Name: Lalwende
Quest: To live by the sea. Better keep burning those fossil fuels then.
Favourite colour: The strange hues of refracted light. That colour which you sense is there but you cannot quite see.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Bilbo.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Turgon.
Worst habit: Smoking, second breakfast, swearing and sarcasm. Ssssss.....
Best habit: Please and thank you. Knowing the uses of apostrophes.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: I crushed Tom Shippey's toe once. Oh, I'm being pedantic, aren't I? Well, I have a peculiar fascination with Lucius Malfoy's walking cane and swishing cloak...
Weirdest hobby: I made a sixty foot long, six stitch wide piece of knitting out of wool oddments. It began when I was a child, because I could not cast off, but then I thought I might as well carry on with it. It remains unfinished as I never did learn to cast off properly.
Best place in Middle Earth: The Shire.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Alqualonde. Or, if I'm not going to be pedantic, anywhere by the sea, e.g. Whitby, St.Michael's Mount and Galloway.
Most embarrassing moment: I could write a book about this kind of thing. My personal favourite is falling head first into a dustbin, getting stuck and then falling over and rolling around on the floor whilst remaining firmly stuck inside the bin. This was highly amusing for all.
Less amusing perhaps was the time I had to run from an event as I felt sick. This event was being held by several very prominent public figures. At least I will be one of the 'masses' who they will not forget.
Most daring moment: 'Dealing with' the worst bully in my school who was picking on my friend. I got a round of applause and warm thanks from the teacher.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sean Bean, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Ian McKellen, Bernard Hill...
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Craig Parker for "camping up" Haldir.
Theme song: It changes from one day to the next, as I am fond of my music (some may disagree that it is all 'music'), and it's far easier to say what I don't like than what I do. But if you listen to The Fall or The Pixies, you may think of me.
Style guru: Marc Bolan and a mad tramp.
Most crucial accessory: Ciggies, money, shades, phone, mp3 player, in that order.
Greatest weakness: Tobacco. Kittens. Ebay. The snooze button.
Greatest strength: My Jedi powers.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: Anywhere that debate rages or anarchy reigns.
Best Downer Buddy: Duh!
Parting shot: You're sorry? You b****y will be.

Least favourite "LotR" actor: Liv Tyler
Theme song: Time To Pretend
Style guru: Legolas. Those swishy braids, those tight tunics, those... tights.
Most crucial accessory: A black cardigan and a book
Greatest weakness: Expensive, faded, fusty books
Greatest strength: I have a killer imagination.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: The house of Mirth
Best Downer Buddy:
Parting shot:

Quest: to save the world, one day.
Favourite colour: anything red, pink or purplish.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Bilbo and Faramir
Least beloved Tolkien character: I can’t stand Tom Bombadil for some reason.
Worst habit: Falling in and out of love in a matter of seconds. Also, consuming alcohol whenever bored.
Best habit: Always sitting and walking up straight. That’s what ballet does to you.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Mr. Darcy!
Weirdest hobby: Werewolves, but on the Downs that’s not really a strange hobby at all. So it’s probably shocking other people.
Best place in Middle Earth: Gondor. Though with all the interesting things the Downers sent there, Mordor might be nice as well.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: I have too many places I love. Dublin, Dingle (also Ireland), London, Barcelona, New York, Athens, Rome, the Blue Ridge Mountains (VA) in fall, Vienna in winter, the Vondelpark (Amsterdam) in summer, Snowdonia (Wales) in spring. And home, of course.
Most embarrassing moment: I repress such memories. I’m easily embarrassed.
Most daring moment: Running through the snow naked? Swimming in the North Sea in March? And since I’m rather shy, every time I start a conversation with someone I have never met before, I feel very daring.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Miranda Otto, Viggo Mortensen, Lawrence Makoare (he's a very kind person, really ^^)
Least favourite "LotR" actor: hard to say.
Theme song: Though I have no idea why, it has always been Lucky by Bif Naked
Style guru: Most of the time myself.
Most crucial accessory: the two rings I always wear.. I need something to twirl around when nervous.
Greatest weakness: having an IQ of merely 63, according to latest test results.
Greatest strength: being top of my year, doing two full-time studies simultaneously, being able to read most Indo European languages and accidentally getting into Berkeley, California despite having an IQ of 63.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: Middle Earth Mirth
Best Downer Buddy: I have no buddies. Nobody likes me *wails*
Parting shot: You shouldn’t shoot things. It’s bad manners.
Thinlómien
11-10-2005, 09:39 AM
Name: In death I'm known as Thinlómien. Also known here as Thin, Thinlo and Lommy (of which I prefer Lommy, by the way). In life I'm known as Hanni.
Quest: To find a shrubbery. To overflood Roa in ww. To write a book.
Favourite colour: dark, bluish turqoise and olive green
Most beloved Tolkien character: Galadriel, Gandalf, Boromir, Maedhros, Finrod, Haleth, Théoden and Beorn.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Saeros; Androg holds the second place.
Worst habit: Tearing scabs. Or being lazy. Or bossing my little sister around. Or babbling all the time.
Best habit: Having weird and funny dreams.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: I'm too wise to have one... ;)
Weirdest hobby: Probably "Middle-Earth olympics" which I play with my dad and sister.
Best place in Middle Earth: North-East ME; Anduin Vales, Mirkwood, Esgaroth, Dale and the Lonely Mountain. The places over there have real magic in them. (Or then you might want to blame my dad from a well-made RPG...)
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Rome, Venice and London, but I'm content to live in Helsinki.
Most embarrassing moment: The first I can think of was when I was a newbie, I had a thread "About dwarf women" and Sauce said that actually three of Thorin's companions were female and I almost jumped off my chair and PMed asking which ones? and how do you know? "It was a joke. ;) = joke" -answer made me feel really, really stupid...
Most daring moment: Again a difficult question. I'm not so daring, or then I'm so daring that I don't even notice that I'm doing something daring.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Ian McKellen and Sean Bean. The guy who played Háma was good. Andy Serkis and Ian Holm did amazing work as well.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Viggo Mortensen (he's not that bad actor, but he is nothing like Aragorn), David Wenham (in TT), John Noble (he ruins Denethor), Liv Tyler or Craig Parker.
Theme song: Kate Bush's Jig of Life and Anouar Brahem's Conte de l'incroyable amour (most elvish music I've ever heard) at the moment.
Style guru: Myself. I don't know whether it is a good or a bad thing... It suits me well, though.
Most crucial accessory: My Prometheus-necklace which I actually wear around my wrist
Greatest weakness: I'm stubborn and curious.
Greatest strength: I'm stubborn and curious.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: Books. After it N&N, The Shire (and soon maybe Rohan too  ), Middle-Earth Mirth (especially ww) and Downs (this forum). I also like my PM inbox, and my reputation page when I've got new positive reps...
Best Downer Buddy: Kath and Sleepy. Nogrod as well but I shouldn't maybe name him, as I know him from RL. If I was to write all other hilarious 'downers' names I like very much, it'd take me a week, so I just say: nearly all of you are just awesome.
Parting shot: Long live the 'Downs!

I've been so excited to read up on everyone! It's really nice to be able to connect someone's particularly witty post with a slice of their personality, their favourite colour, celebrity crush (or lack thereof), etc. I'd love to read more.
As for my own answers, they're as follows
Name: You can call me Al. Ok, no. Lush or Natalia will do.
Quest: To not screw up beyond all measure.
Favourite colour: I realize now that this is a somewhat vague question. My favourite colour to wear is pink. Meanwhile, I've painted my bedroom a cool blue. In nature, I prefer the light, fragile greens of early spring.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Gandalf. Eowyn. Luthien.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Turin Turambar and his kin really freak me out.
Worst habit: Unregulated chocolate consumption, unhealthy desire to constantly compare myself to all and sundry, procrastination taken to new heights.
Best habit: Making fun CD mixes for people I like, regular exercise.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: I find it perfectly natural, but people still get surprised when I tell them I'm partial to Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise.
Weirdest hobby: Naughty fanfiction.
Best place in Middle Earth: Minas Tirith. I like white buildings and good libraries.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Covent Garden & South Kensington in London, Gorkii Street in Kiev, Durham's 9th Street, and Charlotte, NC, where I spent half my childhood staring out my window and waiting for my life to begin.
Most embarrassing moment: I've thought long and hard about this one. I think drunkenly kissing our very surprised university President during the gala opening of the new university museum probably qualifies.
Most daring moment: It would have to be breaking into a Kievan polling station during the much heated final election following Ukraine's Orange Revolution. I argued my way in, waving my university ID around, pointing to my swollen cheek (wisdom tooth removal, ahhhh) and claiming it was the reason I never registered with the local press corps, and took a ton of technically unauthorized pictures. Looking back on it, the polling station people could have easily taken me out back and beaten the *bleep* out of me.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sir Ian for the gravitas and Mr. Bloom for the gratification.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Craig Parker & Co. The background Lorien Elves just look coked-up and in serious need of a proper hair stylist. Haldira Queen of the Forest, anyone?

Style guru: Kate Moss.
Most crucial accessory: Phone, perfume, iPod, and a little blue and yellow gold ring (because my heart belongs to Daddy).

Parting shot: "Swing down, sweet chariot, the flesh will fall and the bones will rot, but from my sorrow you carry me not, my heart is bound, my soul is chained to the rock, rock of ages cleft for me, I swung down my hammer out in Joshua Tree, It rang from the mountain and rolled to the sea, and it will ring from the rock." I'm listening to Emmylou Harris right now. She's amazing.

Favourite "LotR" actor: Hugo Weaving

Best place in Middle Earth: Either Rohan or the Shire.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Either the Black Hills, SD, or somewhere out in the Rockies.
Most embarrassing moment: Maybe not the most, but one time when I went to the water park around here I was coming back to find my mom who was sitting on one of the lounge chairs and I walked up to this completely random lady who I thought was my mom and started telling her about what I had just done. Then she pulled her book away from her face and I realized it wasn't my mom.
Most daring moment: Physically, when I went rock climbing (nothing official - more like "here's a big rock; let's climb it")with my cousins in the Black Hills a couple years ago, that had a couple of daring moments. Otherwise, probably something along the lines of doing something really random in public.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sean Bean, Bernard Hill, Ian McKellan, Viggo Mortensen...
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Craig Parker, and I did not like Hugo Weaving as Elrond.
Theme song: "The Riders of Rohan" - track 5 on the TTT soundtrack
Style guru: None, really.
Most crucial accessory: probably my watch or a hair tie - nothing spiffy.
Greatest weakness: I'm not a very good conversationalist.
Greatest strength: Being smart, I guess.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: That's a toughy. Probably the Shire.
Best Downer Buddy: I like all of you! (Yes, that's a cop-out...)

Best habit: I guess the fact that I'm gifted with intelligence (apparently) and still manage to be conscious of society as opposed to just myself.

Weirdest hobby: I vibrate my legs when I sit, but that's not that weird I guess. So, excluding the Barrow Downs and Tolkien, I'd say my cheese obsession. And I like raw onion.
Best place in Middle Earth: Gondolin.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Home with my mummy. :)
Most embarrassing moment: Most? I think I've probably blocked it out. Possibly trying to engage my friend in a staring contest for five minutes, then giving up to realise that the whole room was looking at me, which explained why my friend was looking fixedly away...
Most daring moment: I'm not a daring person in general. Coming out at school, or any time I'm forced to make a presentation.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Whoever played Sam, and Viggo.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: They all did well. They can't help the scripts they're given.

Favourite colour: Black, white
Most beloved Tolkien character: Sam, Gandalf
Least beloved Tolkien character: Denethor (how could he do that to such a great son as Faramir???)
Worst habit: It's amazing how many of us bite our fingernails! I also tend to seek perfection from others while excusing myself from that same standard. Much better than I used to be about this, though!
Best habit: To have gotten myself used to going above and beyond what is expected of me...to do more than just the minimum requirements.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Johnny Depp (What a hottie...but his philosophy and mine are pretty far apart! We would probably argue about a lot of issues!)
Weirdest hobby: LOTR...my family and co-workers just sigh heavily, raise their eyebrows and roll their eyes whenever I begin to talk about LOTR. Most beloved Tolkien character: Turin, with Radagast a close second

Weirdest hobby: Finding large palindromic prime numbers.
Best place in Middle Earth: Gondolin.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: The house at the shore we went to every year when I was little.
Most embarrassing moment: I've put in too much time trying to repress these to throw all that work away by putting them in print.
Most daring moment: Well . . . I seem to have repressed these too. It's not that I haven't undertaken any feats of tremendous daring, you understand. It's not that I'm a meek nerd who can barely survive the mundane hurdles of every day life. It's just that for some mysterious reason all my bold exploits escape me at the moment.

Least favourite "LotR" actor: Liv Tyler

Greatest weakness: Probably the underbelly, just like a dragon.
Greatest strength: I can name the first 50 elements in order - in one breath.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: The Revised Silmarillion project
Best Downer Buddy: Aside from the small Revised silmarillion group, I'd have to say Mister Underhill, a fellow defender of the Star Wars prequels, and The Saucepan Man, with whom I seem to agree in every debate (save, sometimes, the quality of the movies).
Parting shot: Espresso, though I usually order a double shot.

Best habit: One date a week with my husband & each daughter

golden apples of the sun
Favourite colour: midnight blue, rose pink and silver.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Hurin
Least beloved Tolkien character: Of the ones we are supposed to like, Tom Bombadil. Or Turgon.
Worst habit: Cistercian
Best habit: Dominican (well this is a confessional isn’t it?)
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: last time I revealed this, I was accused of being a pervert, so I’m not going to tell anyone again.
Weirdest hobby: Lalaith’s-friends-and-relations unanimously agree, Werewolf.
Best place in Middle Earth: Third Age – Rivendell or Rohan. First Age – Eglarest sounds rather fine. I would have liked to have seen Gondolin, but not lived there.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Burgh Island, Rome, the British Library, my bedroom.
Most embarrassing moment: My life has been so strewn with these that I’ve long since ceased to care.
Most daring Barrowdowner moment: Offering myself up for a multiple lynching in WWIV because I was so sure LMP was a wolf.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Why, ahem, the great Sir Ian McKellen, of course. Wonderfully textured piece of acting craft. (*tiny venal whisper* Orlando)
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Elijah Wood because he was cheesy, and didn’t read the book. Bernard Hill - he is a good actor and the script wasn’t his fault but the character he played was not Theoden.
Theme song: Past-time with Good Company
Style guru: Anna Karenina. The description of her at the ball in Book One is the definition of a well-dressed woman.
Most crucial accessory: hairbrush, mobile
Greatest weakness: Judging myself against what I read in these Confessionals, I fear it is personal vanity about appearance.
Greatest strength: Again in relative Downer terms, eyesight.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: Oh, how I wish I could still be virtuous and say Books. But Mirth it is.
Best Downer Buddy: Don’t have one. There are several people whose online company I enjoy, but to assume the feeling is mutual seems rather presumptuous.
Parting shot: Gaudeamus Igitur
Tigerlily Gamgee
11-11-2005, 05:18 PM
Name: Tigerlily or "Tig" known elsewhere as "psyknife" or Mel

Favourite colour: Purple
Most beloved Tolkien character: Eowyn, but I do enjoy Samwise as well
Least beloved Tolkien character: Gollum
Worst habit: Spending money, feeling sorry for myself (though I'm not so bad at that anymore) and procrastinating
Best habit: well, lately, its been exercising regularly, eating good foods, and I'm almost always ontime and I rarely let people down
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Uh, hmmm... Stephen Lynch, I guess. I also once mentioned to someone that I found the character of Austin Power strangly attractive (gross, right!?)
Weirdest hobby: collecting My Little Ponies (there! I said it!)
Best place in Middle Earth: I love Rohan, but Hobbiton would be much more peaceful and full of wonderful smells
Best place outside of Middle Earth: my bed, and I love Ren Faires and movie theatres too
Most embarrassing moment: Probably in 2nd grade where my skirt got ripped off while going down a slide... it was on St. Patrick's day and I was in a lovely green dress with (I think) white tights (which everyone in the school yard saw)
Most daring moment: I don't know... making a huge move w/no money and no job? Isn't getting out of bed every day daring enough?
Favourite "LotR" actor: Miranda Otto (for LOTR, and for other movies I've seen her in)
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Orlando Bloom (sorry, but he's too pretty and not that great of an actor)
Theme song: "Robert Holiday" by Cornmo (I really have no clue on this one)
Style guru: myself (though many have claimed that it's Stevie Nicks)

Favourite place to visit on the Downs: no place in particular
Best Downer Buddy: EVERYONE!
Parting shot: Today is a lucky day for those who remain cheerful and optimistic
Hilde Bracegirdle
11-11-2005, 10:09 PM
Name: Hilde Bracegirdle
Quest: To do those things I intend to do, but not those things I do not intend to do. For me this is surprisingly difficult.
Favourite colour: Green - A friendly color, not as aloof as black or reserved as blue.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Gads, what a nightmare of a puzzle figuring out that would be! I will settle for several from LotR: Gandalf, Sam, Aragorn, Faramir and Denethor, Theoden and Hama too.
Least beloved Tolkien character: How does Melkor sound?
Worst habit: Heaping my plate with things to do and then feeling overwhelmed by strong desire to crawl under a table…or desk.
Best habit: Listening to and treating people as well as I am able.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Grommet (But Viggo does have cute feet :D ).
Weirdest hobby: Polishing apricot pits.
Best place in Middle Earth: Ithilien sounds nice.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Any high rocky outcropping that overlooks trees and water.
Most embarrassing moment: On the Barrow-downs it was in an RPG. MS Word further misspelled a blunder of mine, changing what was to be countenance to continence. Unfortunately it worked too well in the context. And thankfully, a friend brought it to my attention. See BD Buddy ;) .
Most daring moment: Chasing a purse-snatcher so far up the street that the getaway car peeled out leaving the snatcher to endure my strongly worded disapproval as I tried to catch up with him.
Favourite "LotR" actor: All did well given the script they were given.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Craig Parker and Hugo Weaving I belive were horribly miscast. And Parker was also a victim of bad editing. (Haldir did seem markedly effeminate in the theater version of FotR.)
Theme song: ‘Awaken’ by Yes (http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=105)
Style guru: Trees (Stand tall, reach for the sun and wear something until it becomes ragged. Then compost it.)
Most crucial accessory: Hrumph, I believe these days that would have to be accessories of the optical nature balanced on one's nose.
Greatest weakness: Picture a grammatically challenged, oblivious and scatter-brained slug.
Greatest strength: Now think of the aforementioned slug being kind, reliable, steadfast and surprisingly good at drawing (for a slug).
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: The odd topics the spiders lead me to, also RPG’s, books and CbC.
Best Downer Buddy: Too easy for me. Ealasaide, without a doubt. We have been friends for 27 years or so. But I am also very fond of quite a few others, and have not yet had the pleasure of getting to know many of the 'regulars'.
Parting shot: KA-BOOM!
Holbytlass
11-12-2005, 08:43 AM
"Barrow confessional" I thought that would be "Father, forgive me for I have sinned...'
Name:Like Gandalf, many names...Holbytlass, Holby, Rebecca, Becky, Beck, Beckela etc.

Most embarrassing moment: Photographing football game for highschool yearbook, I tripped and fell, the commentator announcing that the judges award me a 9 for my "pavement diving"!
Most daring moment:Having to honestly answer "yes, she did" when a friend of my sister's asked, "where's Rachael, I haven't seen her in awhile, what did she do, go and die on me?" (Trust me, I felt bad for the friend, not me)
Theme song:Good Riddance -Green Day

Parting shot:Be careful what you ask for!!
Encaitare
11-12-2005, 02:19 PM
Name: There are some who call me... Tim. But I don't know why that is, since my name is clearly Enca(i).
Quest: to learn Quenya, finish my novel... and get into college. That'd be nice.
Favourite color: I like all shades of blue. But the colors I wear most are black, and increasingly green.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Grima, Maglor, Gandalf.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Hmm. There are really no characters that I hate, exactly. The heroes are awesome and the villains are deliciously villainous.
Worst habit: taking the Barrow-Downs intravenously.
Best habit: being anal about spelling and grammar. I think it's a good thing, at least. Others may disagree.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: well, you all know. Brad Dourif, Alan Rickman. And the beautiful Johnny Depp, though that's a likely one by all means. *chants* Forty-plus is a must!
Weirdest hobby: oh, this is it, alright. Barrow sweet barrow.
Best place in Middle Earth: the Shire or Rivendell.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: the band room!
Most embarrassing moment: I cannot bring anything immediately to mind. I don't get embarrassed very easily, although crying in school is something I'd rather not do.
Most daring moment: I live right on the edge, baby. All day, every day.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Dourif. And Hugo Weaving. And Ian McKellen.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Orlando Bloom.
Theme song: Right now it's Sæglópur by Sigur Rós. I have no idea what the lyrics mean, or if they mean anything at all, but it's a gorgeous song.
Style guru: myself. And I refuse to be anyone else's style guru, either. Don't dress like me. Because then I'll be dressing like you, in a sense, and we wouldn't want that.
Most crucial accessory: the huge watch, and the leather wristband. Both have given me tan lines.
Greatest weakness: I'm easily bribed with promises of candy.
Greatest strength: I think I can beat most people in a battle of wits. Maybe not davem, but most people. :p
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: Mirth and the Shire.
Best Downer Buddy: I suppose Fea and the Ka. But I love you all.
Parting shot: I don't believe in shooting. Shooting is too good for them....
Eomer of the Rohirrim
11-12-2005, 05:05 PM
Name: I have many names. My current favourite is Hansel.
Quest: To find the Queen of Elves.
Favourite colour: Either black or white.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Treebeard.
Least beloved Tolkien character: If I were in the story it would be Saruman; as a reader it's probably Aldarion or Erendis for forcing me to read about their boring lives.
Worst habit: I don't have bad habits.
Best habit: Proofreading? Or generally taking some care and pride in what I do.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Rachel Weisz. No-one ever talks about her, despite the fact that she's lovely. Plus, we share the same birthday. Not that that makes her lovelier; I just thought I'd mention it. Oh, and every member of The Strokes. Didn't expect that, did you?
Weirdest hobby: Daydreaming about what I'd do if I were omnipotent. Not particularly weird in itself, but I do it a lot.
Best place in Middle-earth: Rivendell.
Best place outside of Middle-earth: Anywhere in which I'm completely alone.
Most embarrassing moment: When I foolishly volunteer to contribute in class discussion despite my not being prepared. It happens often, and the entire room thinks I'm very unintelligent. Not particularly embarrassing I'll grant, but then I generally don't care what other people think of me.
Most daring moment: I don't think I've ever done anything really daring.
Favourite 'LotR' actor: Viggo or Sir Ian.
Least favourite 'LotR' actor: Maybe David Wenham: he was inappropriate for the role, in my view.
Theme song: Hoppípolla by Sigur Rós. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.
Style guru: Tim Burton, apparently. :p
Most crucial accessory: Tissues. They are probably the most useful things ever. Never leave the house without them.
Greatest weakness: It has to be love. Don't get me wrong, it's brought me great joy; but nothing else clouds my logical faculties in such a way. You know those villains who are mesmerized by the hot secret agent, but before they execute her they instead try it on with her, despite the fact that she's an enemy, and she exploits this lapse in judgment and manages to slay them? Yea.
Greatest strength: An open mind.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: My PM box.
Best Downer buddy: SamwiseGamgee. And I'll throw in the obligatory I love so many of you. ;)
Parting shot: Biff wants some attention.
Lhunardawen
11-14-2005, 02:29 AM
Name: Lhunardawen, Lhuna, the Lhunatic. Abby would be good. My real name means "the father's delight," or so I was told.
Quest: To enter my dearest heavenly Dad's embrace and stay there for a few thousand years, then afterwards get to meet various people I have always wanted to see (like BDers!).
Favourite colour: Blue, purple, and white. I'm beginning to like yellow a lot, too.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Eowyn. Luthien. Faramir. Aragorn deserves a citation for swoon-worthiness. Huan for most beloved Tolkien non-biped.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Melkor, of course! (But where would the books be without him, huh?)
Worst habit: Chewing on the inside lining of my cheek, biting on dry skin around my nails, pulling hair strands off my scalp, slouching, and of course procrastination.
Best habit: Pen twirling - it's mind-stimulating. And smiling, when I remember to.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: I'm beyond this now. :p
Weirdest hobby: The Downs to non-Downers, especially Werewolf and analyzing LotR for CbC (when I still did). I wouldn't call solving the Rubik's cube weird, but maybe some people will. What can I do? It's addictive! Oh, and talking to myself. Aloud.
Best place in Middle Earth: I guess Dol Amroth would be nice...as well as Rivendell
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Alqualonde, any place with a beautiful view of the sky and/or the sea
Most embarrassing moment: It's either something so negligible that I forgot about it, or something so embarrassing that I paid someone to whack me on the head and make me forget it.
Most daring moment: Applying for just one university, the one that's arguably most difficult to get into (here in this country, of course). Despite statistical encouragement it was a gamble, but I'm studying there right now!
Favourite "LotR" actor: Bernard Hill, Miranda Otto, and Sean Bean
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Orlando Bloom and Liv Tyler, although I don't think I can blame them.
Theme song: hum, hum, hum...
Style guru: What's sstyle, preciouss?
Most crucial accessory: A necklace I call my Silmaril, pen and paper because you never know when you'll need them, my glasses.
Greatest weakness: Cats, especially stray ones, mathematics, sweet stuff.
Greatest strength: Determination, ability to cram, knowing what I want...most of the time. And, of course, my faith.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: PM box and User CP. It feels good to read funny, touching, and encouraging things once in a while.
Best Downer Buddy:
Before edit, it was this: I chat/PM with Formendacil more than a little- and share some similar worldviews. Put him down as the answer of the month. ;)
Six months later, the answer remains the same. And this time for more reasons than the above.
Parting shot: Hey, wake up!
Ordimor
11-14-2005, 11:14 PM
Name: Ordimor
Quest: To be true to myself .... oh, and of course - To Find The Holy Grail!
Favourite colour: Red
Most beloved Tolkien character: Glorfindel and Theoden
Least beloved Tolkien character: Mouth of Sauron .... I know, why? This is one place where I think the version in Jackson's film got it right. The beloved master's character is way too pretentious.
Worst habit: Not listening to everything someone says
Best habit: Filtering out the BS
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Moe - from the Simpson's not Stooges!
Weirdest hobby: hmm.. drawing a blank here.
Best place in Middle Earth: Rohan
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Around my friends

Name: Folwren. . .and a few others. I've been called Sam and Jack and Captain (and even Captain Jack), but those are all nick-names.
Quest: I really want to get married and have kids. All in a few years, of course.
Favourite colour: Super dark red. The color of blood that you get when you cut yourself while cutting lettuce, or get ripped up on barbed wire.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Samwise Gamgee!
Least beloved Tolkien character: Bilbo :p No, not really. . .Feanor, probably.
Worst habit: Tending to think people are unsophisticated if their not quite as smart as me.
Best habit: Sticking to a job until it's done.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: I don't like admitting things like this.

Best place in Middle Earth: The Shire.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Home.

Best place outside of Middle Earth: North Texas - and not just because it's home.
Most embarrassing moment: So bad that my subconscious mind has destroyed the memory.
Most daring moment: Going on an overnight first-person scenario at a Civil War reenactment, twelve hours from home, with people I'd never met.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sir Ian McKellen. For me, his Gandalf is Gandalf.

Style guru: Grace Kelly.
Most crucial accessory: Promise ring and Aggie ring. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/Nuranar/untitled.bmp)

Greatest strength: A logical, intelligent mind. (I hope I haven't justified my Greatest Weakness with that assessment.)
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: The Books; The Shire.
Best Downer Buddy: These days I'm not around enough to have one. For two out of three Shire games, Aman; currently through blogs, Imladris. :)
Parting shot: "In the world it is called Tolerance, but in hell it is called Despair, the sin that believes in nothing, cares for nothing, seeks to know nothing, interferes with nothing, enjoys nothing, hates nothing, finds purpose in nothing, lives for nothing, and remains alive because there is nothing for which it will die."

Rune Son of Bjarne
11-25-2005, 08:28 PM

Quest: To study history at the Universty of Copenhagen after that world socialism
Favourite colour: Red
Most beloved Tolkien character: 1) Fingolfin 2) Galadriel 3) Gandalf
Least beloved Tolkien character: Eol and Maeglin
Worst habit: Mumbling and starting endless or meaningless political conversatons. (mostley when I am drunk though)
Best habit: Sleeping or somthing
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: ? ? ? (I will add one later)
Weirdest hobby: collecting coins and the downs
Best place in Middle Earth: 1) Hithlum 2) Rohan and Gondolin 3) Lothlorien
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Amager
Most embarrassing moment: Walking in to the public swimming facility with out my swimming trunks
Most daring moment: I am not the daring type
Favourite "LotR" actor: Cate blanchett
Least favourite "LotR" actor: 1) Liv Tyler 2) Sean Astin
Theme song: Everybody Knows (Leonard Cohen)
Style guru: no partucular style
Most crucial accessory: LOTR poems/songs (I often bring them with me)
Greatest weakness: Cola (not coke) I drink way to much of that stuff.
Greatest strength: Don't think I have any. Maybe remembering historical facts. . .
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: The Quiz Room
Best Downer Buddy: oh ehh. What a stupid question! I like all of you who post on a regular basis and makes the downs an encredibel place. There are loads of you I would like to know better and a lot I have not even talked to, allthough I really want to. The one I talk to the most must be Sleepy Ranger, then there is all the people in the Nordic Revolution, I must not forget Valesse who I often bother with meaningless questions, last and maybe least, TGWBS (Together we will take over Iceland)
Parting shot: Rød Front
Nerindel
12-01-2005, 07:30 AM
Name: Nerindel (AKA Jules)
Quest: To find time to finish my book
Favourite colour: Lilac
Most beloved Tolkien character: Fingolfin, Beren, Sam, Faramir and Aragorn
Least beloved Tolkien character: Eöl
Worst habit: biting my nails and being easily distracted
Best habit :hmm don’t know?
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Johnny Depp
Weirdest hobby: My main hobby is Writing, nothing weird about that! ;)
Best place in Middle Earth: Rivendell or Gondolin
Best place outside of Middle Earth : The beach yards from my house as the sun is setting over the sea. (Never up early enough to see it rising but I am sure it is just as beautiful)
Most embarrassing moment: Being forced by my Music teacher to enter a solo singing competition and missing my first intro as nerves and the hundreds of people watching got the better of me, Like I warned her they would.
Most daring moment: Picking it up on the second intro and singing despite the quivering fear in my voice. (and remarkably not taking last place)
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sean Astin, Sean Bean and Sir Ian McKellen (Excellent casting in my opinion)
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Hugo weaving, simply because no matter how many times I watch FOTR I can’t get passed the whole agent Elrond thing going on in my head!
Theme song: hmm I’ll have to think about that one…
Style guru: I am my own Guru ;)
Most crucial accessory: oh has to be my Celtic ring and silver cross
Greatest weakness: Crying uncontrollably at soppy movies, Chocolate!!!! And the famed Taurean stubborness
Greatest strengths: patience and understanding
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: The rpg forums
Best Downer Buddy: I haven’t met a downer yet that I haven’t liked, but I don’t know most of you as well as I should like.
Parting shot: Hold to hope it is the light in even the darkest of times!
Azaelia of Willowbottom
12-01-2005, 06:13 PM
Name: Azaelia, Zali, sometimes I am PrairieDog.
Quest: To get accepted into a college other than my "safety school" and to survive until graduation from high school.
Favourite colour: Pink, and blue. I know, so typically high school girl. :p Orange is nice too.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Sam and Pippin.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Uhhhh.... Melkor?
Worst habit: Nailbiting, lack of confidence in myself.
Best habit: Being cheerful, having a good sense of humor, and being easy to get along with.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Johnny Depp...wait, *is* that unlikely?
Weirdest hobby: I collect Snapple caps.
Best place in Middle Earth: The Shire. And Rohan is amazing, too.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Onstage, acting.
Most embarrassing moment: I have been lucky enough to never have had a horribly embarrassing moment, on the scale that other people have them. I was pretty embarrassed when I gave my ski instructor (who happened to be a cute guy about my age) my phone number...and he never called. He must've thought I was a little kid. There is no way I am going back to the same ski place. *hides in shame*
Most daring moment: Gathering up the courage to ask the guy I like to dance with me...and hearing him say yes! :D
Favourite "LotR" actor: Elijah Wood, Sean Bean.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Orlando Bloom. He's pretty hopeless.
Theme song: "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles. I love it because it's optimistic, cute, and not too loud.
Style guru: I don't really follow any one person's style. I pick and choose from fashions that come along, and wear whatever I want.
Most crucial accessory: Earrings, glasses.
Greatest weakness: I can be impossibly shy. And I hate being that way.
Greatest strength: I can overcome the shyness, when the mood takes me. I'm a peacekeeper among my group of friends. I'm the one who never gets into a fight with anyone (not because I let people walk all over me, but because I just get along well with everyone). I'm not afraid to speak up for what I believe in.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: The werewolf threads.
Best Downer Buddy: Just had a shock because I've been here four years and don't really have a buddy here....I dunno.
Parting shot: "Childhood is short, maturity is forever."~Calvin and Hobbes.
Amanaduial the archer
01-01-2006, 04:35 PM
but for others I may be Matias (Matt-ee-us... and it IS a guys name) Lol, I know. I really like the name, although I’ve only seen it spelt Matthias or Mattius before, neither spellings of which the computer likes. Bleh.
Anguirel...your name...Really?! Are you applying for Oxford this year? If so, I guess you’ll probably already know if you’re in, but hey, good luck anyway!
Name: Amy. Please spell correctly or I’ll…consequence you.
Quest: Pwwf. In the short term, to do well enough in my AS levels to fulfil the slightly longer term aim of getting a choral scholarship into Oxford. Again, pwwf.
Favourite colour: Why, gold, green and black, of course ;) No, I generally wear and work in blacks and blues.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Not sure, Pippin is lovely, he presents a slightly cheerier side to the general gloom, as does Treebeard, but I do have a weak spot for Glorfindel.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Least beloved? Movie-gandalph! No, in the books, Theoden, or Saruman. Generally quite dull as bad guys go – all that potential and he just spends his time brooding about Gandalph.
Worst habit: Procrastination. Or maybe that should be down as best habit – certainly I am very good at it.
Best habit: Music. Not in a strange, obsessive, look-at-me-I-walk-around-singing-all-the-time kinda way, more just…well, the amount of it I do and the amount I think about music means that it has pretty much passed from the realms of hobby into habit.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Takuro Kubo. Or Kubo Takuro. Probably the latter, but I’m not honestly entirely sure how Japanese names work. The composer and guitarist/keyboardist from Glay, a Japanese rock band who I rather like despite the use of really random English words scattered throughout their songs for no apparent reason…
Weirdest hobby: Brownies, probably. Believe me, it may not be weird, but the Brownies really are ;) Or making paper cranes with any spare piece of paper, whatever size, although maybe that’s more a weird habit.
Best place in Middle Earth: I would love to stay in Imladris for a few days, but it would probably get somewhat dull after a while. Rohan then – call me a shieldmaiden, but the idea of being able to work with horses all the time and train with weapons to use as well…well, it appeals.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: I have found a tree about five or ten minutes run from my house which is excellent for getting away. It’s in a field which may well, actually, be private property (oops) and is beside and above a rather unused road, and is fallen – it must have been easily twenty feet tall when it was standing. But it has been fallen so long that some of the upper branches seem to have taken root, and because it was very broad right from like the middle, you can climb right up and just perch there with phone, diary, music, book… Very peaceful.
Most embarrassing moment: What, a pinnacle? Lordy, there are hundreds, each more painful than the last, and I refuse to dwell on them publicly!
Most daring moment: Daring? Wish I was more bloody daring…*grumbles* See, what is daring for me, you may not consider daring. It’s more little everyday daredoms.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Dominic Monoghan or Viggo Mortensen.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Sir Ian McKellan.
Theme song: Goodbye, My Lover by James Blunt (“I am here for you, if you’d only care”); I Miss You by Blink182 (“where are you? And I am so sorry, I cannot sleep, I cannot dream tonight…don’t waste your time on me, you’re already the voice inside my head”, plus it has references to Nightmare Before Christmas, qui j’adore.
Style guru: Haha.
Most crucial accessory: Hmm…my phone (partly because I currently do not have a watch), music (iPod), a book of some description, gold heart necklace one of my friends gave me. Scrap paper and a pen when I’m in school – have to do something in lessons, doodling generally fills up the long hours. Oh, and my glasses or contacts – very blind.
Greatest weakness: Long-windedness. Hmm, a two word answer, how ironi- all, that’s better ;) My temper as well. Paranoia. Self esteem the size of a gnat’s poker cue.
Greatest strength: Being able to placate people; debating skills; voice.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: RPG forums, although I have had more of a tendency to quietly float recently.
Best Downer Buddy: Ah, I’m with Anguirel: I have a fear that if I name anyone, they shall instantly reject me! Bethberry has proved to be a great friend, as did Mithadan at a time; Aylwen Dreamsong and Imladris; Fordim, Firefoot and Anguirel finish off my RPGing dream team. I apologise if I’ve missed anyone glaringly obvious.
Parting shot: Thanks for taking the time to read it.
Christ, ‘snappy’ party shot. Yeesh.
Silence, you.
Cliché.
Figment of imagination.
…alright, touché.
Valier
01-02-2006, 12:57 AM

Weird hobby: I don't think I have any weird ones!
Best Middleearth place: Lothlorien
Best outside Middle earth place:Canada of course EH?
Most embarrassing moment: Getting my head stuck in one of those wooden toboggans with the curved front after my brother jerked the sled across the yard. Then after it happened he just stood there and laughed (what are bro's for? )
Most daring moment: Would be here for days......
Favorite LOTR actor:Umm I like Sir Ian McKlellan (sp?)
Least favorite LOTR actor:Hugo weaving, I can only see agent Smith..
Theme song: that's kinda weird
Style guru: I wear what I like.
Most crucial accessory: My glasses! My promise ring from my Snoo
Greatest weakness:I'm such a blabber mouth sometimes
Greatest strength: I hate to be vain...
Favorite place on the Downs:My user cp (laughs)
Best buddy on the downs: I like lots of you! well especially Runey...;) L.O.L
all you WW players rock!!!
Parting Shot: Shooting is not nice!!!
Nilpaurion Felagund
01-12-2006, 02:17 AM
Name: Louis Allen Zablan-Ortal, although I also answer to 'Uchiha Itachi.'
Quest: To have the mina entrusted to me gain more.
Favourite colour: Any light shade of blue.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Finrod Felagund.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Finrod's killer. Oh, and he became the main enemy during the Third Age too, right?
Worst habit: Procrastination, for one.
Best habit: Bringing a pen and paper everywhere. Capturing ephemeral thoughts is well worth the hassle.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Anna Tomppo. :o ;)
(Oh, vzv, that is 'unlikeliest celebrity' crush, not unlikeliest 'celebrity crush.' I hope everyone gets the distinction.)
Weirdest hobby: That would have to be doing Lego battles, making war-machines out of Lego then having them fight. With matching sound effects.
Best place in Middle Earth: Harlindon!
Best place outside of Middle Earth: So far, home. Although Powerbooks, the local bookstore that lets you read without having to buy the book, is quite a nice place, too.
Most embarrassing moment: Aside from early posts? The worst one would have to be the 'Don't worry, he's stupid' incident of 1994.
Most daring moment: Answering His knock. (Revelation 3:20)
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sean Bean.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Orlando Bloom.
Theme song: Who am I by Casting Crowns.
Style guru: Now that I think of it, I don't really have style, per se. I just put on what fits and is most accessible to me. I don't care what I look like, so long as I'm properly clothed.
Most crucial accessory: Eyeglasses. Without it we can't see, precious.
Greatest weakness: The paradoxical combination of laziness and perfectionism. I mean, I can't satisfy both sides!
Greatest strength: Not mine, actually. (Philippians 4.13)
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: PM Inbox.
Best Downer Buddy: spawn and Kath.
Parting shot: I love the rain! :D
dancing spawn of ungoliant
01-16-2006, 06:24 AM
Name: Most of you know me as spawn, some of you know me as Anna and to Anguirel I seem to be Spawnowen.
Quest: Downs: Post more in The Books and reply to PMs sooner. RL: To find out what my quest is and then fulfill it.
Favourite colour: I wish it was red, but I think it's blue. I enjoy all colours in general, though.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Gandalf or Aragorn, perhaps.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Eöl and Ted Sandyman. Eww, what creeps!
Worst habit: Taking it easy when it's obvious you shouldn't.
Best habit: Taking it easy when it's obvious you shouldn't.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: I haven't had a proper celebrity crush for years now, but here's something unlikely for you: I think Hatake Kakashi is rather good-looking... you know, for a cartoon character. :D
Weirdest hobby: The weirdest real hobby that I have (meaning, I take lessons in it) is undoubtedly composing polyphonic vocal fugues in "Palestrina style". It's pretty tricky with all the do's and don'ts of the style to make it sound like real 16th century's music.
Best place in Middle Earth: Rivendell or Dol Amroth because it's on the coast.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: I became quite attached to the yard of a small hostel in Moshi last October. I could have stayed there lying on the lawn and staring at the unbelievably bright stars for ever (there wasn't too many street lamps spoiling the view), but the odds are that I will never get there again, so I'll settle for my own room which is a rather wonderful place as well.
Most embarrassing moment: If not the most embarrassing (which it might very well be, though), this is the most recent one and it's related to the Downs. I was having a Sweeping Party (http://forum.barrowdowns.com/showthread.php?t=11386&) which means that I scrolled through a lot of posts from my newbie days. It might have been cute unless the posts hadn't been that horrible. If I were a mod, I probably would have banned myself back then. The only good thing in this self-caused humiliation was to discover that during these years, my posting may have improved, after all.
Most daring moment: Downs: Promising to mod a WW game and hitting 'Submit Reply' when posting in The Books. RL: Hmm, I don't know. I guess I have done some daring things, but they just don't feel that daring to me.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sir Ian McKellen.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Bruce Spence or Marton Csokas.
Theme song: There are so many good songs I know, but I don't think any of them could be named as my "Theme song". My Downs self would probably choose Advertising Space, though.
Style guru: Me.
Most crucial accessory: A hair tie or anything that helps me to keep my long hair out of my face.
Greatest weakness: Using my time insufficiently. I believe you could also call that procrastinating.
Greatest strength: Stick-with-it-ness (I love that word). Getting excited about things easily.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: PM box. And Mirth.
Best Downer Buddy: Nilp and Farael.
Parting shot: *bang* ( )

Worst habit: Slipping into "Valley girl" speech when with my friends. "Lyke OMG!"
Best habit: Helping anybody who has a problem, whether I really want to or not.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Alan Rickman. He is my soulmate, just 40-something years older than me.
Weirdest hobby: Collecting staples!
Best place in Middle Earth: Lothlorien.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: New York.
Most embarrassing moment: While discussing an unfortunate incident at a beach, in which my swimsuit came off, my English teacher overheard and gave me the strangest look...it was so awkward.
Most daring moment: Trying to pick up my friend's chihuaha, aka spawn of satan. I nearly lost a finger!
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sean Astin
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Oh dear...I really love them all.
Theme song: FRIENDS!
Style guru: Erm...Spencer from "Ed vs. Spencer" mayhaps...
Most crucial accessory: The necklace I found in my treasure soap!
Greatest weakness: Worrying myself sick...literally.
Greatest strength: Motivation.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: Middle Earth Mirth...I'm addicted to Unfortunately/Fortunately.

Formendacil
06-03-2006, 11:32 PM
Okay, rather that follow the boring popular trend of saying "see my post for changes, if you're interested", I'll repost here- with as many new answers as possible, for maximum humour and current accuracy.
Name: Michael A. Joosten in writing, Michael or Mike to my friends, Form/Formie in colloquial 'Downsian, and Formendacil on the Memberslist.
Quest: To get into college. There are a few Balrogs along the way, it seems.
Favourite colour: Blue- as in Alberta skies blue. Or green. Lots of lovely green.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Was Gandalf/Túrin, is probably Pengolod at the moment...
Least beloved Tolkien character: Saeros -the once and future least favourite.
Worst habit: Finger-biting. Not nail-biting, but biting off bits of dry skin around the nails... - but allow me to add myself the procrastinator's club. That and staying up late and getting up late. (Though that's you guys'es fault :p )
Best habit: On the 'Downs, every day. *Has No Life Smiley*
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Can't say that I have one... but I might have a 'Downsian crush or two. No! I'm not telling.
Weirdest hobby: Editing the Silmarillion. Yes, you read that aright.
Best place in Middle Earth: The ruins of Gondolin. Pity it drowned.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Roma, Italia. Loved it there- but to add to that old answer, I'm currently in love with Edmonton. And not because the Oilers are winning- hopes of school and easy-to-follow streets sit very well with me.
Most embarrassing moment: Getting on the wrong school bus in Grade 1. Still upsets my stomach thinking about it- but more recently... showing up in Edmonton at 9:00 in the morning after a 2.5 hour drive only to learn that the event was cancelled... Oops! Guess I didn't get hte memo...
Most daring moment: Still not sure... I'm not really the daring sort. Tell you in a few months' time, let's say.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Ian McKellan and Sean Bean. They both played the roles exactly as I imagined- the answer of of is unchanged.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Huge Weaving. Great actor, but 100% un-Elrond.- but I have to change this now. Hugo may not LOOK like Elrond, but i'm liking his performance more... Arwen gets the "worst" title now, by default.
Theme song: Pachebel's Canon- but I'm currently really liking the soundtrack from Narnia... That battle theme makes great driving music, for some reason.
Style guru: Winston Churchill.
Most crucial accessory: Glasses. Especially when driving.
Greatest weakness: Food. I'd pillage for a chocolate bar.
Greatest strength: Again... I'm not all that concerned about money. And I manage it well. I don't know if it's a strength, but I'm also incapable of holding a grudge, it seems.... (not that I haven't tried).
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: Was CbC... was Mirth... looks like it's the RPG forums these days... and my PM box- always something good there.
Best Downer Buddy: But I chat/PM with Lhuna more than a little- and share some similar worldviews. Put her down as the answer of the month.
Answer of the month? That's changed... In case you the reader has not noticed, Lhuna is now affectionately referred to by me as my little sister. So she's definitely my best 'Downer buddy. Other people I seem to talk a lot with include: Fea (on all matters philosophical), Diamond (random Werewolf opinions), Abercrombie (all matters nonsensical), and TGWBS (all matters of Popular and Historical Culture).
There are others... but these are the ones who talk to me the most (aka: they have the least Lives).
Parting shot: Long Live Minas Taxi!

Ok, yeah, I'm self-absorbed, so I like these things. But apparently I'm not alone. :p
Name: Sarah Rose
Quest: To finish my novels, get better at short stories, and conquer the world through writing
Favourite colours: Blue and yellow
Most beloved Tolkien character: Peregrin Took *le sigh*
Least beloved Tolkien character: I hated Eowyn the first time I read the book, actually. I liked her in the movie better, frankly, she seemed more human and less of a stupid twat.
Worst habits: Speeding, not wearing my seatbelt, staying up too late, oversleeping, eating sparodically, spending too much money on non-necessities, spending too much time on the computer, watchng too much TV, sitting around doing nothing when I have lots of things I could be doing, not getting enough exercise or fresh air, not socializing enough in RL, being vain and self-absorbed, hyper-critical of myself and others, and losing my temper. I have a violent streak.
Best habit: Reading, writing, being intellectual. I guess.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Long time ago, Anthony Perkins after I saw him in "Psycho." He was already dead at the time but it didn't stop me.
Weirdest hobby: Werewolf. Prior to picking that up... obsessively downloading anything I could find on the net that had anything to do with Matchbox Twenty. Which I still do, but I think that Werewolf is weirder.
Best place in Middle Earth: Shelob's Lair. Or Cirith Ungol.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: The Library, or any place where there's a good rock concert goin' on.
Most embarrassing moment: Pouring water onto someone else's sandcastle at the beach which I was little more than a toddler.
Most daring moment: Riding my bike past a house where a gigantic black German Shepherd was loose. I road past it three seperate times on the same day, and it chased me down the road every time.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, David Wenham (so what Faramir was butchered by the writers, David is fiiiine) Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, Karl Urban. Or, in short, all the cute guys. Ok, and I'll add Orlando just because he never gets any respect.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Craig Parker and the guy who played Denethor. Unintenionally creepy and annoyingly oafish.
Theme song: My permanent theme song is "Unwell" by Matchbox Twenty. At the moment, my flavor of the week song is "Perhaps Vampires Is a Bit Strong, But..." by Arctic Monkeys. It's been causing me to exclaim "All you people are vampires!" at odd times.
Style guru: Uh. I pick out my own clothes.
Most crucial accessory: Sunglasses.
Greatest weakness: Hanging out on the Internet too much -- buying CDs, clothes, and jewelry impulsively -- and cute guys with curly hair. *le sigh*
Greatest strength: Creativity, sense of humor, IQ of 138

Most beloved Tolkien character: Somewhere between Eomer and Frodo.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Grima.

Best habit: Prayer? I wish! Please, God.

Weirdest hobby: National Review Online. (http://www.nationalreview.com/)
Best place in Middle Earth: Rohan. No, Lothlorien. No, Rivendell.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Home.
Most embarrassing moment: Having my archery thread rebutted by none other than my beloved Lush. The Wight closed it, too.
Most daring moment: Jumping off of Frye's leap (44 feet) into Sebago Lake.
Favourite "LotR" actor: On even days, Sean Bean. On odd days, Elijah Wood. And on alternate Tuesdays, Viggo Mortenson.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Ian Mackellan.
Theme song: Any handful of current worship songs.
Style guru: Oscillates between Movie Frodo Baggins and Movie Legolas. And believe it or not NO-ONE AT WORK HAS NOTICED OR REMARKED ON THIS. Blind they are, yes precioussss, blind.
Most crucial accessory: PDA. What would I do without my checklists?? Forget half of what I'm supposed to do, that's what.
Greatest weakness: Forgetfulness or laziness? Flip a coin.
Greatest strength: I've learned how to listen and I practice it often.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: Gondor.
Best Downer Buddy: Raefindel. I MISS YOU, RAE!!!
Parting shot: Swoosh-tok. Longbow, thank you.
Nogrod
06-11-2006, 05:47 PM
Name: Nogrod. Taken in haste to just log in. I went to my copy of the Silm and took the first nicely sounding name that wasn't too obvious.
Quest: To find the question the answer of which is 42... So beads, flowers, freedom and happiness! Really, the world-peace (so juvenile as it sounds)
Favourite colour: Black and red. They are beautiful and match together. The only problem is that they are frequently used by all those fool-nationalistic-chimps in the northern Europe. They are still the colours of my father's and mother's home area before the WW II.
Most beloved Tolkien character: When I was young, it was surely Gandalf, Galadriel being the second. Lately I have started to approve more and more Sam. Elladan and Elrohir (even though they remain quite shabby characters in the narration) have been my favourites, and Prince Imrahil has kind of caught my imagination too.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Saruman is too easily turned to the dark side, he's not a believable character... The mouth of Sauron could have been a great character, but I think Tolkien missed some opportunities there. Merry and Pip are a bit shady, but that's no problem...
Worst habit: Smoking, drinking, idling, sleeping late and eating unhealthily (but well!).
Best habit: Thinking, caring about people, looking at everything with a keen eye, wishing to see all possible sides of the coin (not just the two!).
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: I have never idolized people. But surely there are great and creative human beings around you can admire. Happily I haven't got a crush on anyone I should have to be ashamed of now...
Weirdest hobby: Middle-Earth Olympics. Just ask Lommy or her little sister for details. :D
Best place in Middle Earth: If one should have to live in there, then Minas Tirith with all its cultural diversity and life. If just being lured by the place, then Imladris or Lorien.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Rome, London, Helsinki. Our summer cottage in the middle of nowhere in central Finland is nice too.
Most embarrassing moment: Too many of those...
Most daring moment: In the former DDR (the East-Germany), I was with an official delegation, representing the peace-movement of Finland (that was in -84). I was in a debate where some of the East-German delegates (professors and pioneers) were talking how important it is to join the army of peace (the Warsaw Pact armies). I took the floor and made a pacifist declaration, defying the hosts openly. They tried to put me down but I didn't exactly lose that one. I was 16 then.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sean Bean and the shakespeare actors (McKellen, Holm). No question about that! Andy Serkis was great and so was Brad Dourif.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Orlando and Liv, John Noble and of course Viggo! (How could anyone pick him as the Strider?)
Theme song: Eric Satie's Gymnopedies.
Style guru: What style? I'm the most styleless person on earth, well maybe...
Most crucial accessory: My earring, probably. Then the mobile phone.
Greatest weakness: Being overkind and too peaceful (believe this or not, but that's RL stuff).
Greatest strength: Loving other people, openness, some brains.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: RPGs and ww-games.
Best Downer Buddy: Lommy :p Of you others I can't claim many of you as my friends, which is sad (but we have time), but surely my sympathy and good will go to at least: Diamond, Naria, Cailín, Mith, Firefoot, Folwren, Valier, Spm, Celuien, Davem, lmp, Roa... Too many of you to name everyone!
Parting shot: Ceterum censeo, Carthaginem esse delendam.

Maedhros, Maglor, Maeglin, Daeron. All the nice guys who at some point of their lives took a wrong turn. (or everybody who starts with 'm' or has an 'ae' in its name)
Least beloved Tolkien character:
I have to admit it: Túrin.
Worst habit:
Misantropy, biting the inside of my cheeks, running around when thinking, getting too many speeding tickets (in Germany!), eating unhealthy, spending too much time on the computer, procrastination, inability to be on time... I'll edit this when I have thought of more, oh wait, forgetfulness.
Best habit:
Not taking things that seriously (sometimes a bad habit, though)
Unlikeliest celebrity crush:
Nelly Furtado (though that's not really unlikely. I have a lot of celebrity crushes, none of them being unlikely, I think)
Weirdest hobby:
Tolkien, Barrowdowns. I don't have any weirder ones to offer.

Least favourite "LotR" actor:
Craig Parker
Theme song:
Garbage - Only happy when it rains
Style guru:
Style? Me?? no
Most crucial accessory:
Little piece of paper with my phone number on it (see next point). Does being asked for your phone number and not being able to tell it count as an embarrassing moment?
Greatest weakness:
Very, very, very bad memory (for everything not Tolkien-related ;) ), lack of spontaneity, being afraid of people, purposelessness.
Greatest strength:
Patience, being a 'nice guy', generating sparks of humour from times to times, helpfulness, humility.
Favourite place to visit on the Downs:
Books and Movies discussions. Werewolf games (you could say I licked blood :D )
Best Downer Buddy:
Since I'm not here for that long yet, none for now. Though I could make a long list like Nogrod's containing at least everybody who gave me reputation.

Quest:
World dominati--I mean Peace. World peace. And getting out of debt, not to mention being a good wife (and someday, mother).
Favourite colour:
I haven't a favorite color. Or a favourite colour either. My husband likes blue, though, so I end up with a lot of presents in that color. My wedding ring has sapphires in it, actually.
Most beloved Tolkien character:
For some reason I fail to understand, Prince Imrahil and his House have always captured my imagination in a way no others have. I wish Tolkien had told us more of the story of Mithrellas...
Least beloved Tolkien character:
Mac's right. Turin sucks. And he whines a lot.
Worst habit:
Gritting my teeth, leaving the kitchen in a horrible mess, poking Neal for attention...holding grudges. That one's pretty bad too.
Best habit:
Not biting my nails? Can I define this negatively?
Unlikeliest celebrity crush:
I'm married. I am soooo far above mere crushes. Johnny Depp! And Ewan Macgregor! And Paul Bellamy! Especially Paul Bell---Shush!
Weirdest hobby:
I haven't any weird hobbies...just a bunch of old-fashioned crafty ones like crochet and needlepoint. Oh, and I'm a quite decent soprano, as well as an artist (pencil sketches, mostly) My husband wants to make wine from scratch, though, and that will probably quickly turn into as much my hobby as his.
Best place in Middle Earth:
Dol Amroth by the Sea
Best place outside of Middle Earth:
My parents' house in Indiana. Whereever that may be. (They're thinking of moving)
Most embarrassing moment:
See that's the beauty of this medium. I don't have to tell you. Calling her parents an hour's drive from home to say she smashed Mum's car--*smacks evil twin* Shush!
Most daring moment:
I proposed to Neal. Was that daring?
Favourite "LotR" actor:
Viggo Mortenson
Least favourite "LotR" actor:
PJ
Theme song:
My evil twin wants me to say "It's Raining Men" by the Weather Girls. But while that is, of course, an excellent example of musical virtuousity, my favorite song would probably be the more mundane hymns "How Great Thou Art" and "I'll Fly Away". If I have a favorite at all.
Style guru:
Oh yes they called him the Streak! Boogeydad boogeyda*WHACK!*
Most crucial accessory:
A pen. It always seems I find reason to regret not carrying a ballpoint pen on my person everywhere I go.
Greatest weakness:
I have a rather nasty temper, and I am a sucker for this website's dubious charms. I really ought to be working harder.

Quest: To learn, and to pass on what I have learned. (no, this does not concern only the Downs or only Tolkien!)
Favourite colour: Probably blue or orange.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Hard to choose. I came to adopt all of them as parts of one great family (read: work). But if I had to name someone... well, no, I cannot. Radagast, Ulmo. Galadriel? Weirdest hobby: Checking the Downs every minute that I have access to a computer... well, almost every minute.
Best place in Middle Earth: Rivendell
Best place outside of Middle Earth: My room. No, wait, that's the worst. The best would be in the middle of nowhere near lake Huron.
Most embarrassing moment: every time I talk about something without understanding what I' saying. Also, I made a typo in the name of my first thread - instead of "Gandalf - great or a joke of a wizard" I wrote "Gandalf - geat or a joke of a wizard".
Most daring moment: ummm... how about posting all this?:p
Favourite "LotR" actor: probably Cate Blanchett
Least favourite "LotR" actor: the guy who played Denethor (I forgot his name :o)

Most beloved Tolkien character: I'm torn between Fingolfin and Eomer (still valid)
Least beloved Tolkien character: Ioreth (no longer valid): I don't really like most of the Dwarves in the Hobbit.

Best habit: see my worst habit. (there is validity in the internet play, but...): assuming nothing is ever 'good enough' and always working harder.
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Hugh Laurie (a wee bit old for me, I'll admit, but who can resist a drug-addicted jerk that so cleverly saves so many lives?). (no longer valid): Giles from Buffy.
Weirdest hobby: define weirdest. (still fairly appropriate): hunting megafauna with no desire to kill it.
Best place in Middle Earth: Rivendell (still good)
Best place outside of Middle Earth: home (addendum needed): home is a state of mind, not a location.
Most embarrassing moment: walking into a random soda machine (of course there's more to the story, but that's quite enough to go on) (no longer valid): walking into a critique situation, knowing my work was not the best or even my best, and knowing I could have prevented that.
Most daring moment: raising my hand and sharing my opinion in front of a couple dozen distinguished professors and a world-renowned expert at a bio-terrorism lecture, all old enough to be my parents or even grandparents (no longer valid): falling in love.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Sean Bean (yes)
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Craig Parker (grumble... yes)

I can... but I really hate doing it. (life changes and I no longer have access to white chocolate mocha lattes on a daily basis, ergo...): tea.
Greatest strength: my confidence (addendum): my ability to ignore my own lack of confidence and get things done really well
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: my PM inbox. Thanks to you (by 'you' I mean 'you guys know who you are'), my day is often brightened with random chat about religion, hair color, art, politics, psychology, Aldous Huxley, high school phys. ed. teachers, education systems, and writing, as well as whatever else crops up. It's such an education. (no longer true): I lurk on the Downs, but my favorite place to visit For the Downers is Facebook.
Best Downer Buddy: I flatly refuse to choose. I'm too fond of too many people, and for too many different reasons. (slight alteration): Since writing this, I met and adopted Mira, and she became a member. I have to love my sister best. :)
Parting shot: Live long and prosper.

Favourite colour: Grey or blue tends to be what I prefer.
Most beloved Tolkien character: Faramir. Which is one reason I so despise what PJ did to him.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Radagast, for leaving off fighting Sauron in favour of becoming a Disney Princess who hangs out in the woods and talks to animals.

Most daring moment: Not sure. Maybe the time I made beep beep backing-up noises when my boss (who'd just announced he was going on a diet) came into the room.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Ian Holm. I liked him in Aliens and Time Bandits.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Orlando Bloom.

Favourite "LotR" actor: Marton Csokas *grins*, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Bean, Ian McKellen...oh, just one, you say?
Least favourite "LotR" actor: I don't know if I have one, really. Elijah Wood can be obnoxious, but I don't dislike him.
Theme song: Well, my mother say Highway to Hell by AC/DC...but I say If Today Was Your Last Day by Nickelback (atleast this is my outlook on life). Honestly, I can't choose. You Can't Take Me or Here I Am by Brian Adams OR Get Off of My Back from the Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron soundtrack fit me too.
Style guru: Joan Jett
Most crucial accessory: Does a bow and a quiver of arrows count? How about a hunting knife?

wilwarin538
02-07-2011, 09:35 PM
Oh wow, I was the first to ever fill this out (like 5 years ago)! I'm going to sorta copy Fea and put my old answers in italics, see how accurate they still are:
Name: wilwarin538, or Wilwa(most popular), but in the "real world" it would be Vanessa.....those are indeed still my names
Quest: to become a butterfly.....aww, wasn't I adorable, my new quest is to finish University
Favourite colour: blue(but I think that might be a little obvious)...now my favourite colour is pink
Most beloved Tolkien character: Nessa.....haha, no, it's Pippin
Least beloved Tolkien character: Bill Ferny....sure
Worst habit: accidently ignoring people I don't want to ignore
Best habit: accidentely ignoring people I do want to ignore
.....both of those are amazing answers, and still very true
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Alan Rickman(yes I have old man crushes too)......yes!
Weirdest hobby: I like to learn alphabets, not the actual language, just the alphabet (ie. greek, hebrew, arabic) it amuses me ....don't do that anymore, I'm not really sure what my new weirdest hobby is.
Best place in Middle Earth: Lothlorien(cause of all the pretty trees)......yes!
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Canada......yes! Though there are many places other than Canada that I love, but it's certainly number 1
Most embarrassing moment: the time I didn't know what "Tell the Mormegil that Wilwarin is here." was refering to, that was very embarassing (it was in one of the WW games)......I have no memory of that, my current one is recently when I went through a Tim Hortons drive thru (it's a coffee place, super popular up here), and after paying I started driving away without getting my coffee, and I had to back up, then when I started to go to leave I was still in reverse (luckily no one was behind me)
Most daring moment: when I modded WWX, which turned out ok....haha, not so much anymore, I think going on a 13 hour bus ride to Geneva (by myself) and letting the bus driver drop me off at a sketchy truck stop on the side of the highway until Mac could pick me up, was probably pretty daring
Favourite "LotR" actor: Dominic Monaghan....hmm, John Noble has taken over
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Liv Tyler....no, I like her now, the guy who played Elrond bugs me (so much so that I can't recall his name)
Theme song: Veggie Tales!!!!!! ......no, I think Steer by Missy Higgins just about sums up my life right now
Style guru: (<---confused smile)....aww, I was cute. I make my own style! :P

Greatest strength: Patience with other people, general upbeatness, the lack of personal drama.

Most beloved Tolkien character: I really like Finrod. I think I'm going to have to call him my favorite, with Ecthelion and Glorfindel coming close behind him.
Least beloved Tolkien character: Hmm... I mean, there are plenty of characters to hate, but you usually love to hate them. I think... maybe Eol? Although Caranthir, Curufin and Celegorm were pretty awful. I think I'll say even worse than Eol.
Worst habit: procrastinating
Best habit: when I get into it, working out and eating healthily
Unlikeliest celebrity crush: um... hmmm... unlikeliest... probably Jamie from Sorted Foods.
Weirdest hobby: spending untold hours on AlternateHistory.com...
Best place in Middle Earth: Probably Ost-in-Edhil before Annatar showed up. That would be my favorite place to visit, anyway.
Best place outside of Middle Earth: Ooh... hmm, that's hard. I don't think I can come up with a definitive answer, but the south-west of France was gorgeous.
Most embarrassing moment: Um... I actually don't think I can share that; it was literally shameful, as in, I am truly, deeply ashamed of that. So... my mom changing my bandages on wound where the cyst used to be right above my butt.
Most daring moment: Um... hmm... when I was a kid I jumped into a pool to save a little girl who I thought was drowning. I think I was right, but I was too small to be doing that, so the lifeguard had to pull us both out.
Favourite "LotR" actor: Probably Sir Ian McKellen.
Least favourite "LotR" actor: Um... hmm... I thought Elijah Wood was kind of lacklustre, compared to the rest of the pretty stellar cast. Hmmm... oh, wait! I thought Karl Urban was kind of awful as Eomer.
Theme song: My theme song? I would spend way too much time overthinking what song would actually symbolize me and know way too much about music history to give a good answer in a reasonable amount of time. Pass!
Style guru: If I had to pick one... Jason Statham from the transporter. He looks great in a suit, balding with a buzz-cut. That's how I'd like to look all the time.
Most crucial accessory: probably my iPhone.
Greatest weakness: being selfish and procrastinating; they get me into equal amounts of trouble.
Greatest strength: intelligence!
Favourite place to visit on the Downs: I'm very new, so I don't really have a favorite place yet.
Best Downer Buddy: I don't really have any yet. I've only been here for a few days, so while I've met some nice people, I can't really claim to have any buddies yet.
Parting shot: See you, space cowboy!

Best place in Middle Earth: Ithilien

Most embarrassing moment: Having a badly needed weewee in front of some of that mirror glass/one sided police window stuff thinking the building was empty but in fact housed a busy call centre office full of outraged middle aged telephonists, gawd.
Most daring moment: walking away with head held high, toilet paper trailing from one shoe
Favourite "LotR" actor: Love em all to bits :D but Sam is my favorite
Least favourite "LotR" actor: those annoying escaping kids
Theme song: Always look on the bright side of life.

Anyone who gets banned from TORN is my friend, I was going to say, but then all the rest of your post was even better. Anyone who dresses like Severus Snape is also my friend.

Splendid, love opera and getting banned from the site where the PJ cultus makes Kim Jong-il jealous is practically a badge of honour. Thongs as in flipflops or..?
