I do hope that current ratio keeps (F63-M37) on, so by the end of the year it would gladden my heart to turn to all those critics who labelled LoTR

not to be a statistics dork, but did anyone do a significance test on this data? This information tested agains the number of users on the barrow downs.....because it could just be that more girls than guys voted, or that more girls than guys on the barrow downs, which might not be indicative of the Tolkien-reading population at large.......darn those confounding variables

Salacia - I agree the result is not 100% trustworthy, but none of such researches are. We just have to trust it or agree to not having any data... :)

I have to admit that I am a bit surprised at the current ratio. I was expecting something much closer to parity.
