View Full Version : WWJ XII: "Oh the tangled web we weave..."
Nogrod

I must just say that the day Nogrod got killed I was groaning in my chair, but when on the third night they changed Jenny and the Seer and Weaver both dreamt of Her I was ready to smash my head into the key board while screaming NNNNOOOOOOO!!! WWWWWWHHHHHYYYYYY!!!!!???????? :p :eek:I think this is just the perverse kind of psychology! I had made a pretty good case against Jenny on Day1 (I was innocent - Jenny was innocent, so I was so completely wrong!), but still on the following Day, the others picked first on me and then both the Things and the innocents picked on Jenny...
It's not random.
PS. I can relate to your feelings Valier! I've been (co-)modding one game myself! That is so nerve-wrecking in the beginning to think that the game ends in just the three first Days!

Notice when I was switched, folks? My theory holds ture...I'm always suspected when I'm innocent, and so far never suspected when I'm not. Unless I've been dreamed of.
And Rune and Naria, you should have gone for Menel...or anyone who wasn't high in everyone's suspicions already.

I really can emphatise with you Jenny - and am so sorry to have been so strongly suspecting you on the Day1! And you had to pay for it...
So sorry...
Maybe next time we'll get a better understanding of each other? :)

Well I kind of wanted to go for quiet player after the Nogrod disaster, but somehow ended up doing the opposite.

Thanks, Nogrod & Naria ... I'm going to wait for Jenny's game, since I don't feel ready for the major league quite yet!
Valier, I've got to compliment you - this was loads of fun while it lasted & I loved your death posts...
Menel...you actually had me thinking you were the weaver on day one, with your remarks about Mac's innocence depending on mine!
I voted for Jenny because of Nogrod's remarks, but I could have sworn she was the ranger and he was the original thing.
As for my weird initial post, I just wanted to "stir the pot". :D

Rikae: don't be afraid of the "major league"! There isn't that kind of difference any more - if there ever was - between the WW and the WWJ. And as there are not so many players to participate as there were on the "golden times of the WW" (I never experienced that, or just the last moments of it), you really should involve yourself if you just have any wish to play in the first place...
Don't be shy! You play well, so come and join the game!

I did go for Menel dearest Jenny, just not on the Day that you would have liked :p
There are a whole bunch of would have's and should have's.*shrugs*Better luck in the next game I guess :)

Night 3 Jenny & Naria=No connection (Thing, Ordo)Wrong, it was Connection and Thing,Thing.
My goodness! Now I see how extremely lucky we were on day 2. As the weaver I really feared the situation where I would dream of an ordo and a gifted, because it so easily leads you to believe one is guilty. Thanks to the things for choosing Nogrod on night 2, we might have ended up lynching our ranger. :D
Even independant of my 'knowledge' I found Nogrod so suspicious when I reread day 1. I would have waited til day 3, but there was the danger you were no longer there then, and I couldn't make out any alternative suspects.
Lommy, I'm so very sorry about voting for you the first day. The only thing worse than knowing nothing is thinking you know something while actually you're being utterly clueless...
I'm sure Valier was very happy when her seer and her weaver banged their heads on each other on the first day - and then not so happy when both dreamt of each other the following night.
And we were so lucky with our dreams on night 3. Or at least I was, great job Kitanna!
Naria, you really should have picked me that night. I would have had such a lovely death narration... :)
What else?
Amazing debut, Rikae!
Sorry about suspecting you, Menel and Jenny, when you were still innocents.
And Folwren, I will never trust you again. You were so convincingly innocent, I would have drawn completely different conclusions if you survived the second night.

Well, this was an interesting game. Good strategy for luring out the Ranger you used, Nogrod.
Mac, you don't have to apologize for your suspicions. You were doing your duty as a villager there.
Anyhow, I'm glad to see I didn't die on Day One this time. It was starting to look like I'd become the next Eomer of the Rohirrim for a bit there.
Finally, there's one question I've been wanting to ask: What, exactly, is a "Fenris Wolf," anyway?

Haha, yes. It was extremely vexing that we forgot that Nogrod wasn't going to be there that second day. I wouldn't have done it if I had remember. I knew that it was a dangerous step to turn him into a Thing, because I knew that he was suspected and that people doubted him. However, we were hoping that he was the Seer or the Weaver. We didn't mean to get the Ranger. Bah.
And, right, Naria, Rune - you shouldn't have gotten Jenny. She was so highly suspected! But oh well, I wasn't around anymore.
And Folwren, I will never trust you again. You were so convincingly innocent, I would have drawn completely different conclusions if you survived the second night.
I know. *sigh* That was my only regrets about playing so magnificently. ;) Really, it was. All the while I was acting innocently, being proclaimed definitely innocent by Nogrod, and not suspected by anybody, I withered where I sat, knowing that hence forth in any other games it would be 'Oh, no, I've seen you act like this before and you were guilty!' I'm not that good of a liar in real life. It's being able to type and you not being able to see my hot, flushing face and excited expression.
It was a very good first day and I was sooooooooo disappointed when I was kicked off.
Finally, there's one question I've been wanting to ask: What, exactly, is a "Fenris Wolf," anyway?
I understand that it's a wolf who managed to be lynched the first Day.
I wasn't exactly lynched the first Day, but I did die. May I be a Fenris Thing? :p

What do you mean about Nogrod's "lure the Ranger" strategy? He was the Ranger.

Actually, I hadn't read his comment before I posted, Jenny. My mistake.

You were a great thing Jack, but you may not be a Fenris. Infact all Fenris titels is from this moment revoked!
Come on. . . Fenris would never die on day 1, Fenris would swallow the intire village and die from indigestion!

Aaaahhh, shucks.
;)
Why are they being revoked? Are you serious? Everyone with a Fenris title is getting rid of it, or are you just saying that for your opinion?
