Erm sorry to go into Mummy-mode but can I remind people to be careful since Facebook uses our real names etc and some of us perhaps give away more than is necessarily wise underthe anonymity of screen names. Remember that the downs is an open forum and liking Tolkien does not gurantee that someone doesn't have less healthy interests.

Just bear this in mind before you "friend" people you don't know too well because they are downers.

Indeed. Thirty-three BDers are in that group which just might make it the largest BD group outside the Barrow Downs. Feel free to request to join as long as you let our administrator know you're a BDer. :)

If anyone joins the Barrow Downs group on facebook and gives their user name, then if they go on to try and 'friend'* anyone there will be a security assurance by checking that this seemingly random person trying to 'friend' you is on the BD group.

I quite like it, as I can see what sorts of mad music etc folks are into ;)

Well if you haven't Facebook messaged our group admin Formendacil and let him know who you are on the BD yet, I would do that. Then all you have to do is wait for him to confirm you into the group. :)
