Basically, The One Ring is reporting that the Hobbit may become a trilogy. And I guess this would mean including some of the backstory of Gandalf and the wizards, so who knows? We might get part of our Silmarillion movie after all!
So what do you guys think? Good or bad idea?
P.S. Mods, I wasn't sure if this should be it's own thread or not. Feel free to merge it with another one of course...

And, haha. If this is an early April Fool's joke... Well won't I feel silly...
:o :o :o
(I guess we'll take it as real for now, since it's not April 1st where I am!)

It'd better be a joke. *loads and aims canon*

It is an April Fool's joke:
"The inclusion of other young wizards at the academy..."
What, Olorin Potter and Curunir Malfoy at the academy? I suppose Tulkas would be Hagrid.

Mnemosyne, I'm not sure if you meant it, but that's quite punny of you.
Morthoron, immediately after I posted this I looked down at the tages and the first one was "fool" and then I got it. Whatever, it's not fair! It's still not April Fool's yet for me! :p

You have to admit it's a pretty good April Fool's joke, because it's always the believable ones that make the best April Fools. :p

One of the better April Fool's jokes a while ago was one (I believe by a Boston sports talk radio station?) that the NBA Boston franchise was going to change its
nickname pronunciation (the Boston Celtics") from "Seltics" to "Keltics". Nicely done with announcers explaining the linguistic logical correctness of this while outraged at it.

When I was in Paris they changed the name of some of the Metro stations - Parmentier became Pomme de Terre .. very funny as long as you didn't miss your stop! Apperently once they changed Madeleine to Marcel Proust and Reuilly-Diderot to La Religieuse and served the appropriate cakes on the platform!

Well, it (http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/hoax/Hoaxipedia/San_Serriffe/) does have two islands like New Zealand.
