NightKnight

He was a descendant of Isildur/Elendil, and of Firiel, the daughter of king Ondoher of Gondor.

symestreem
03-28-2004, 09:48 AM
And Firiel was the descendant of...?

Thorongil
03-28-2004, 09:52 AM
Anarion?

symestreem
03-28-2004, 10:07 AM
:D Go ahead.

Thorongil
03-28-2004, 10:17 AM
How many names were mwntioned in the poem at the end of the chapter Battle of Pelennor Fields?

symestreem
03-28-2004, 12:12 PM
Place-names: 9
People-names: 14
Other: (Thengling) 1

Thorongil
03-28-2004, 01:02 PM
Yup.

symestreem
03-30-2004, 08:55 AM
What did the second Boromir do?

NightKnight
03-30-2004, 03:06 PM
He drove the orcs out of Ithilien.

The Perky Ent
03-30-2004, 09:14 PM
Joined the fellowship...

Gil-Galad
03-31-2004, 08:09 AM
retook Osgiliath

symestreem
04-01-2004, 01:17 PM
NightKnight is correct. Boromir of the Nine Walkers was the third of that name. Interestingly, his father was the second Denethor.

NightKnight
04-01-2004, 04:11 PM
Who led the Gondorian army they sent to aid Arnor in their last battle?

Gil-Galad
04-01-2004, 04:32 PM
Earendur i think...i know Cirdan and Glrofindel led elves...

symestreem
04-01-2004, 07:45 PM
Is it Earnur?

NightKnight
04-02-2004, 03:51 AM
Eärnur it was...Symestreem, your turn. :)

symestreem
04-08-2004, 08:12 PM
Why did the xth king rule after the x+1th king?

Gil-Galad
04-09-2004, 12:47 PM
Which? Gondor or Rohan?

The Perky Ent
04-09-2004, 05:51 PM
Is it Eldacar? He was the 19th and 21st king of Gondor. He was the 19th king until the people of gondor didn't like a king with mixed blood and a civil war broke out. Then he killed Castamir, the 20th king and ruled again as the 21st king.

symestreem
04-09-2004, 07:42 PM
*nods* Yes.

The Perky Ent
04-09-2004, 09:36 PM
Riiiiiight...um....

hair covered my darkness. No colored love passed my sight. No heirs will feel my black love.

Who am I?

NightKnight
04-10-2004, 06:55 AM
Wulf?

The Perky Ent
04-10-2004, 08:17 AM
Nope

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 09:35 AM
Beruthiel?

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 10:19 AM
Yessire

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 11:55 AM
Who killed king Folca of Rohan?

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 02:04 PM
If i remember, isn't it Boar of Everholt?

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 02:06 PM
It is indeed.

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 02:08 PM
^_^ what is the name of the wood next to the peak of the king?

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 02:09 PM
Firien?

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 02:21 PM
NK has it...as always :/

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 02:36 PM
This is my favorite section...I like Gondor, and I like Rohan. :p

How many kings of Gondor were there in the Third Age?

symestreem
04-16-2004, 03:10 PM
Twenty-nine, with Elessar being the first king of the Fourth Age?

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 03:18 PM
Nope.

symestreem
04-16-2004, 03:29 PM
Thirty-one?

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 03:55 PM
Close.

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 07:12 PM
32?

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 07:15 PM
Yes. Aragorn was actually king in the Third Age. It's 33 if you want to count Isildur as well.

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 07:16 PM
So i got it?

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 07:17 PM
Yes.

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 07:24 PM
cool...um....easy one, name the beacons of Gondor

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 07:25 PM
Amon Dîn, Eilenach, Nardol, Erelas, Min-Rimmon, Calenhad and Halifirien.

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 07:29 PM
check please! your right

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 07:41 PM
What did Hirgon carry with him to Theoden?

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 07:44 PM
the red arrow?

EDIT: WOW, OFF BY A COUPLE OF SECONDS! OUCH!

symestreem
04-16-2004, 07:44 PM
The Red Arrow.

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 07:44 PM
Indeed, and Perky Ent was first.

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 07:46 PM
what is the grandson of the last

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 07:48 PM
Of the last what?

Is the answer Barahir, the grandson of the last ruling steward, Faramir?

The Perky Ent
04-16-2004, 07:58 PM
always! he always gets it

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 08:01 PM
That's because I'm so darn good at this. :D

Who was in charge of the Hornburg when Theoden & Co got there?

Fingolfin II
04-16-2004, 08:49 PM
Was it Gamling?

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 08:49 PM
It was.

Thorongil
04-30-2004, 12:10 AM
Hey, Fingolfin II, you there?

Fingolfin II
04-30-2004, 01:16 AM
Whoops, sorry, *mindfreeze*.

Which King of Rohan is "not remembered with great praise"?

Thorongil
04-30-2004, 01:18 AM
Fengel?

Fingolfin II
04-30-2004, 01:32 AM
Yep.

Sirithheruwen
05-05-2004, 03:21 PM
Thorongil? Your turn!

Thorongil
05-06-2004, 12:07 AM
I SERIOUSLY need my memory checked...
Well, anyway, In what year did Baldor walk the Paths of the Dead?

NightKnight
05-06-2004, 01:24 AM
In the year 2569 in the Third Age.

Thorongil
05-06-2004, 07:03 AM
Go ahead.

NightKnight
05-06-2004, 12:06 PM
Who were Eomund's grandchildren?

symestreem
05-06-2004, 01:54 PM
Faramir's unnamed child, and Elfwine (and any siblings he might have had.)

NightKnight
05-07-2004, 09:00 AM
He has a name, try to find it. :)

luthien-elvenprincess
05-07-2004, 07:42 PM
Elboron and Elfwine

NightKnight
05-08-2004, 05:19 AM
Yes.

luthien-elvenprincess
05-08-2004, 08:31 AM
How long had Baldor's body lain beyond the Dark Door when Aragorn and party looked upon it?

symestreem
05-08-2004, 09:23 AM
Well, we don't know when Baldor entered the place; if it was before March 8, 2569, then the answer is 450 years; if it was after March 8, then the answer is 449 years.

luthien-elvenprincess
05-08-2004, 03:50 PM
I was prepared to accept either answer. You are correct, with a perfect score!

symestreem
05-10-2004, 05:12 PM
How many names are used twice in the lines of stewards? Don't count a name if it is used once in the line of stewards and once elsewhere.

luthien-elvenprincess
05-10-2004, 05:52 PM
Three: Hurin, Turin, Denethor

Son of Númenor
05-10-2004, 05:54 PM
Húrin I & II
Túrin I & II
Ecthelion I & II
Denethor I & II

That makes four names used by two Stewards of Gondor. I believe that is all.

luthien-elvenprincess
05-10-2004, 05:58 PM
crap, crud and corruption...I missed Ecthelion

symestreem
05-12-2004, 03:13 PM
Neither are correct. Remember, Stewards doesn't have to mean ruling steward; I'm only looking for names used exactly twice; 'the line of stewards' also means their descendants.

NightKnight
05-12-2004, 03:24 PM
Turin, Ecthelion, Denethor, Belecthor, Boromir and Barahir. Hurin was used thrice.

Son of Númenor
05-12-2004, 03:26 PM
Drat.

symestreem
05-12-2004, 07:52 PM
NightKnight is right.

NightKnight
05-13-2004, 11:17 AM
I think I most be the most forgetful person on this forum. I'VE DONE IT AGAIN! Once again I had a great question, but as usual it's gone when I get here. ;)

Name ten rohirrim that died on the Fields of Pelennor.

samwise8504
05-13-2004, 12:10 PM
theodon,grimbold,guthlaf,dunhere,elfhelm,herefara, herubrand,horn,fastred and deorwine

symestreem
05-13-2004, 08:17 PM
Theoden, Harding, Guthlaf, Dunhere, Deorwine, Grimbold, Herefara, Herubrand, Horn, and Fastred, because Elfhelm did not die on the Fields of Pelennor. Although Samwise is still correct.

NightKnight
05-14-2004, 05:00 AM
Samwise, like symestreem said, you only have nine. Elfhelm didn't die there. So symestreem, it's your turn. :)

symestreem
05-15-2004, 07:37 AM
What color was Erkenbrand's horn?

samwise8504
05-15-2004, 08:28 AM
black

symestreem
05-15-2004, 09:26 AM
Yes! :)

samwise8504
05-16-2004, 07:24 AM
which king of rohan slew the great boar?

symestreem
05-16-2004, 10:52 AM
Folca, the 13th king.

samwise8504
05-17-2004, 11:47 AM
correct

symestreem
05-18-2004, 02:09 PM
Where was said boar's home?

luthien-elvenprincess
05-18-2004, 04:19 PM
Said Boar of Everholt lived in the Firienwood, between the borders of Rohan and Gondor, by the Ered Nimrais.

symestreem
05-18-2004, 05:10 PM
Correct.

luthien-elvenprincess
05-18-2004, 08:02 PM
Where was Merry's tent located while camping at Firienfeld?

NightKnight
05-19-2004, 08:05 AM
Next to Theoden's tent.

luthien-elvenprincess
05-19-2004, 12:52 PM
Correct answer, Night Knight

NightKnight
05-20-2004, 07:48 AM
Approximately, how many men came to Minas Tirith when Pippin and Bergil were looking?

samwise8504
05-20-2004, 12:53 PM
around 1800 i think

Dargoth of Morkrond
05-20-2004, 06:18 PM
They were 2000 counted and a few more uncounted though they were less than 3000.

NightKnight
05-22-2004, 09:20 AM
There were between 2000-3000. Dargoth, please continue. :)

Dargoth of Morkrond
05-22-2004, 06:16 PM
Ok, how old was Boromir by the time of his death??

Fingolfin II
05-22-2004, 08:36 PM
He was 41 years old.

Dargoth of Morkrond
05-22-2004, 11:03 PM
Correct Fingolfin, your turn....

Fingolfin II
05-22-2004, 11:37 PM
Cheers Dargoth, hmm....lets see....ah! Got one-

'No jealousy or rivalry had arisen' between which two Gondorians?

Dargoth of Morkrond
05-23-2004, 12:32 AM
Well, I guess................Boromir and Faramir maybe??

Fingolfin II
05-23-2004, 02:25 AM
You guess.....correctly.

Dargoth of Morkrond
05-26-2004, 08:04 PM
I was searching for a hard one, but I couldn't find any, so anyway:

Who were involved in the three unions between the Eldar and the Edain??

Fingolfin II
05-27-2004, 01:28 AM
Hmm.....is this a Gondor and Rohirrim question? Anyway, they are: Beren and Luthien, Tuor and Idril, Arwen and Aragorn.

Dargoth of Morkrond
05-28-2004, 08:43 PM
Well I thought so, but that doesn't matter since you are correct Fingolfin, go ahead....

Fingolfin II
05-28-2004, 09:54 PM
Which King of Rohan is similar to me (Fingolfin), and in what respect?

Mithalwen
05-29-2004, 12:29 PM
Theoden - because they were both crushed to death?

Fingolfin II
05-29-2004, 07:43 PM
Yes- I would have accepted that they were both likened to Orome, but you're up Mithalwen.

Mithalwen
05-30-2004, 11:08 AM
Oh well I am too ignorant to have noticed that lol... oiooh harder to think up questions almost... Ok lets try:

Who was "sitting on his horse with his knights about him; and the falling Sun shone upon them and made all their harness to gleam like red gold", what was the occasion and what significant event had happened there previously?

Gil-Galad
06-04-2004, 09:00 PM
Imrahil maybe?

Mithalwen
06-07-2004, 12:08 PM
No, but not a million miles away. :p .... I liked Imrahil, I guess it was inevitable that they would omit him from the films but I am still sorry....

Gil-Galad
06-07-2004, 03:21 PM
Faramir? Forlong?

Mithalwen
06-08-2004, 11:52 AM
Nooooo ...but Faramir is as close as Imrahil ;) ....and Forlong is way off the mark ....maybe thinking of the occcasion would help ....

Sirithheruwen
06-11-2004, 11:15 AM
Theoden? When he and his company were about to ride to the Pellennor Fields?

Mithalwen
06-11-2004, 11:23 AM
Nooooo not Theoden......... but reasonably close in time and space.....

NightKnight
06-11-2004, 02:02 PM
Eomer?

Mithalwen
06-13-2004, 10:18 AM
Eomer is as close as Faramir and Imrahil (literally!).... Oh everyone here seemed to know the books so well - maybe I tried too hard not to be obvious........

Carnimírië
06-14-2004, 11:45 AM
Aragorn when he said farewell to his friends at...I believe it was the Gap of Rohan?

Mithalwen
06-14-2004, 12:10 PM
Yes to parting with Aragorn (and Eomer, Faramir and Imrahil were left at Edoras!!!!!) ..but not quite the Gap but i am not going to be that picky after so long- the event was Pippin looking in the palantir........ over to you Redjewelled one!

Carnimírië
06-14-2004, 12:19 PM
Ok, which king of the Mark could have been said to have been "boared to death" (spelling intentional)?

NightKnight
06-14-2004, 01:36 PM
Folca, who was killed by the Boar of Everholt. :p

Carnimírië
06-14-2004, 02:18 PM
Yep. Seeing that entry in the list of the kings in Appendix A really tickled me :D

NightKnight
06-14-2004, 07:23 PM
Who, except Eorl, was buried in Eorl's mound?

Carnimírië
06-14-2004, 07:42 PM
That would be Felarof the killer horse.

NightKnight
06-15-2004, 04:51 AM
Killer horse, eh? Makes me think of the killer rabbit in Monty Python. :D

Your turn, of course. :)

Gil-Galad
06-15-2004, 06:48 AM
"i'd soil my armour if i was so scared!"

" whats it gonna do? nibble your bum? "

heh great stuff....

Carnimírië
06-15-2004, 09:57 AM
Who was Bergil's uncle?

Mithalwen
06-15-2004, 11:47 AM
Iorlas .... quite as old as Peregrin Took.... :D

Oh they all say it's only a rabbit.....

Carnimírië
06-15-2004, 11:49 AM
Right, Mithalwen.

Mithalwen
06-15-2004, 01:18 PM
Thank you but now ..the hard bit..... for me not you perhaps......

His son attempted a path which his namesake in the film refused.....

The Perky Ent
06-15-2004, 06:30 PM
I'm slow, so I don't get it, but...Arathorn?

NightKnight
06-16-2004, 11:36 AM
Brego. His son Baldor tried to go through the Paths of the Dead, which Aragorn's horse (also named Brego) didn't dare.

Mithalwen
06-16-2004, 12:03 PM
Yes..that's it Brego... was worried it didn't make sense.....:D Actually I thought that the book paths of the dead was much creepier but nvm... Over to you..

NightKnight
06-17-2004, 06:03 AM
Yeah, I think so too.

What colors were the banner of Rohan?

Sirithheruwen
06-17-2004, 08:59 AM
White and green?

NightKnight
06-18-2004, 08:16 AM
Yep.

Gil-Galad
06-18-2004, 04:47 PM
*a very weak bump*

Sirithheruwen
06-19-2004, 08:11 AM
Oops, sorry...

Who was Theoden's bane?

(Sorry it's so easy, but I don't have access to my books this weekend.)

Gil-Galad
06-19-2004, 02:37 PM
his horse i believe ...it was shocked from the fell beast

The Perky Ent
06-19-2004, 03:48 PM
Gil-Galad is probably right, but, the Witch King? gotta go for the obvious ;)

Gil-Galad
06-19-2004, 04:07 PM
it actually said in teh book that Snowmane (theodens horse) was the bane of his death...

The Perky Ent
06-19-2004, 04:36 PM
But I must try :D

Sirithheruwen
06-20-2004, 06:27 AM
Sorry, Perky, I'm accepting Gil-Galad's answer because he was first and that was the answer I was thinking of.

Gil-Galad
06-20-2004, 12:19 PM
OOOOOHHOOOO <devilish laugh>

so now you have taken my old avatar? very clever, but you must pay...NO VISA!

anyway...

another easy one, name the holder of keys

The Perky Ent
06-20-2004, 06:34 PM
If your talking about the Keys of Orthanc, Saruman.

Gil-Galad
06-20-2004, 07:28 PM
close but no

The Perky Ent
06-20-2004, 09:30 PM
If, as my sig says, the Keys to Barad-dur, Sauron?

NightKnight
06-21-2004, 03:30 AM
Hurin of the Keys?

Gil-Galad
06-21-2004, 04:26 PM
NightKnight has it! oh Perky, you try too hard

NightKnight
06-22-2004, 07:54 AM
Who was said Hurin's grandson?

The Perky Ent
06-22-2004, 06:18 PM
Hador?

NightKnight
06-23-2004, 03:58 AM
Nope.

Fingolfin II
06-23-2004, 04:11 AM
Orodreth?

NightKnight
06-23-2004, 04:49 PM
Nay. I'm going away, so I'll just give you the answer. It was Theoden. Hurin's daughter was Morwen of Lossarnach, who married Thengel of Rohan. And Thengel's only son was Theoden. New question, anyone?

Carnimírië
06-24-2004, 01:09 PM
Who told Théoden to turn back and go to Edoras?

wilwarin538
06-24-2004, 03:57 PM
Aragorn?

Fingolfin II
06-24-2004, 08:30 PM
Eomer?

Nilpaurion Felagund
06-24-2004, 09:13 PM
Ceorl.

Carnimírië
06-24-2004, 09:36 PM
Nilpaurion Felagund has it. Your turn.

Nilpaurion Felagund
06-26-2004, 01:02 AM
In RotK, what made Théoden not turn back from Minas Tirith?

Kath
06-26-2004, 09:24 AM
Because Ghan-buri-ghan gave him a way through to the city wihtout having to find the orcs on the way in?

Nilpaurion Felagund
06-27-2004, 09:05 PM
Well, maybe, but, after he saw Minas Tirith burning, and decided to slink away, what happened that changed his mind?

The Perky Ent
06-28-2004, 08:45 PM
Because Eowyn woulda got ticked off at him? I know it's wrong, but it's fun to ask.

Nilpaurion Felagund
06-30-2004, 11:47 PM
Yep, Perks, it's wrong.

Come on, people! It's easy!

Osse
07-01-2004, 01:34 AM
Firstly, a wind played with the kings hair, and stirred his heart somewhat from the dread he felt, THEN "there was a flash, as if lightening had sprung from the City. For a searing second it stood dazzling far off in the black and white, its topmost tower like a glittering needle; and then as the darkness closed again there came rolling over the fields a great boom ." Then suddenly, he became brave and battle hungry, one can only assume that this was sent by Gandalf, using his Elven Ring to stir the hearts of the Rohirrim. That, coupled with the wind, was what kept him from running off! :D

Nilpaurion Felagund
07-01-2004, 01:42 AM
The wind will be good.

Acceptable. :D Your turn.

Gil-Galad
07-27-2005, 07:34 AM
anyones turn now...

Nilpaurion Felagund
07-27-2005, 08:02 PM
Which Rohirric ancestor was the first to ride to Gondor's aid?

Gil-Galad
07-28-2005, 07:27 AM
Eorl the Young?

Nilpaurion Felagund
07-28-2005, 08:27 AM
Someone before him. Not Rohirric, but an ancestor of them.

You can get the answer from UT, in The Chronicles of Cirion and Éorl.

Alcarillo
07-31-2005, 01:37 PM
Marhwini.

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-01-2005, 04:05 AM
Your turn. :)

Alcarillo
08-01-2005, 08:49 PM
Which king of Gondor was killed fighting the Wainriders?

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-07-2005, 08:38 PM
Narmacil II (or Ondoher).

Alcarillo
08-07-2005, 08:43 PM
Yep. Your turn.

How many horses are there in an éored?

Alcarillo
08-07-2005, 08:54 PM
No less than 120 men, and so, assuming 1 horse per man, there would be no less than 120 horses.

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-07-2005, 09:06 PM
Back to you. :)

Alcarillo
08-07-2005, 09:29 PM

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-07-2005, 09:34 PM

Nice avvie. ;)

Yours.

Alcarillo
08-08-2005, 07:48 PM

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-08-2005, 08:09 PM
The letters R-ND-R surmounted by three stars, signifying arandur (king's servant), steward.
UT III 2, footnote 25

Alcarillo
08-08-2005, 08:30 PM
Yep. Your turn. :)

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-08-2005, 08:50 PM
Did Éomund (father of Éomer King) have kingly blood, and if so, from whom?

Alcarillo
08-08-2005, 08:53 PM
Nope, but Éomer's mother did.

Alcarillo
08-08-2005, 08:56 PM
Wait! Éomund claimed descent from Brego, so yes, he did have royal blood.

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-08-2005, 09:12 PM
Éomund descended from Brego King's third son Eofor.

Your turn. :)

Alcarillo
08-08-2005, 10:06 PM
What was a full muster of cavalry called?

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-09-2005, 11:07 PM
An éoherë.

Alcarillo
08-09-2005, 11:58 PM
Yep, your turn. :)

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-10-2005, 12:07 AM
Where did Gondor build their forts for the defence of Calenardhon from the East?

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-15-2005, 07:33 PM
Anyone?

Alcarillo
08-15-2005, 09:07 PM
The Brown Lands?

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-15-2005, 09:24 PM
You need to be more specific. It's a section of Anduin, near the Brown Lands, yes.

Alcarillo
08-15-2005, 09:28 PM
The Undeeps.

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-15-2005, 09:38 PM

Thread is thine. :)

Alcarillo
08-16-2005, 11:14 PM
What King of Rohan and what Steward of Gondor were ruling when Saruman first inhabited Orthanc?

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-17-2005, 12:03 AM
Beren was the Steward, and . . . ummm . . . Helm's sister-son, Fréaláf was King.

Alcarillo
08-17-2005, 12:05 AM

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-17-2005, 12:12 AM
At the rate you're going, you'd be a Ghost Prince in short while, and only for a little while since the Chief will give you a PT soon! I hope. :D

Enedwaith, who was the grandson of the King of Rhovanion that became King of Gondor?

Alcarillo
08-17-2005, 12:16 AM
Was it Vinyarion, the grandson of Eldacar?

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-17-2005, 12:28 AM
I meant the grandson of Vidumavi. :p

Alcarillo
08-17-2005, 12:35 AM
Oh. I thought it was the King of Rhovanion who became King of Gondor, not the grandson. It was Aldamir.

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-17-2005, 12:42 AM
Still wrong!

Alcarillo
08-17-2005, 12:30 PM
The other grandson, Ornendil.

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-17-2005, 08:14 PM
I should have said, "I meant the grandson of Vidugavia." This caused much confusion. I was looking for Eldacar.

*sigh* Ah, well, Ornendil was a grandson of Vidumavi. I guess I should give it to you.

Your turn. :)

Alcarillo
08-18-2005, 02:49 PM

Absolutely right. Your turn.

Gil-Galad
08-20-2005, 02:17 PM
How did Anarion die and who did Isildur appoint head of Gondor after Anarions death?

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-21-2005, 04:00 AM
Anárion's death was caused by a rock hurled from Barad-dûr.

Meneldil his son succeeded him as King of Gondor.

Gil-Galad
08-21-2005, 10:41 AM
your turn Nilp!

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-22-2005, 06:36 PM

Carnimírië
08-23-2005, 09:24 AM
Estelmo, Elendur's esquire.

Nilpaurion Felagund
08-24-2005, 05:31 AM

08-24-2005, 08:44 PM

Carnimírië
08-25-2005, 04:46 PM

Telchar
09-08-2005, 02:49 AM
It could be Eärendur - Last king of Arnor...

Carnimírië
09-09-2005, 12:01 PM
Yes that's the one.

I don't understand why my question dosn't fit with this thread.

Gil-Galad
09-09-2005, 05:20 PM
Of Gondorians and Rohirrim...

Telchar
09-11-2005, 01:57 AM
Who was responsible for the building of Henneth Annun and other refuges in Ithillien?

@Carnimírië: The northern line has nothing to do with Gondor and Rohan - but no problem

Rune Son of Bjarne
09-14-2005, 05:37 PM
Was it Steward Túrin II ? ? ?

Telchar
09-15-2005, 12:23 AM
Ja, Den sku' være fin nok Rune - velkommen til dyssehøjene ;) Du stiller det næste spørgsmål.

And for those not familiar with Danish (guessing taht Rune is):
Correct - welcome to the Barrow Downs - you're up!

:)

Rune Son of Bjarne
09-15-2005, 04:02 AM

Who was second in comand of the éored of westfold at the time of the war of the ring?

Gil-Galad
09-15-2005, 04:44 PM
Eomer was it not?

Rune Son of Bjarne
09-15-2005, 05:12 PM
Nope, but close.
Eomer was in charge of this éored, the job comes with the title:
Third Marshal of the Mark

Gil-Galad
09-15-2005, 05:13 PM
Grimbold?

Rune Son of Bjarne
09-15-2005, 06:29 PM
Not if remember corectly

But i have realised that this was a bad question. Becourse of the strange organisation of the rohirim. (Grimbold to have a title and comand of a part of the army from westfold)

So let's just move on, Gil-Galad you just take it.

Gil-Galad
09-15-2005, 06:32 PM
alrighty then...

Name the foe that Gondorians battled twice, but one only one of those battles, and name who died at that battle

Rune Son of Bjarne
09-15-2005, 07:06 PM
Was it the wainriders ?

If it was then it was Narmacil II who died

Gil-Galad
09-15-2005, 07:13 PM
aye the wainriders and that dude, your turn

Rune Son of Bjarne
09-15-2005, 07:27 PM

The Perky Ent
09-22-2005, 01:45 PM
