Yes, I have found it at last. It is in TTT, Flotsam and Jetsam. Pippin and Merry have finally met the company again,( after meeting Treberad) and they are telling thair tale.

Here is something before the quote and after the quote:

I'm pretty sure this is either Gimli or Legolas in TTT to Aragorn...but I could be wrong...
