IM 13 AND IM 4'11 ...I'm 13 (almost 14 (yay!)) and I'm only 5' (I think... I measured myself at an audition and I got 5' even, but then I measured myself again at my friends house and got 4'11", then I measured myself at school and got 5'...) Anyway, it's fun being short! My best friend is 5'10" and somtimes if we're standing next to each other in a crowd she'll start yelling my name and looking around, and I'll just say, "Umm.. I'm down here!" It's hilarious! smilies/biggrin.gif

I'm age 14 and 5'1" and half. I shouldn't really complain because I have friends shorter than me and there are 7th graders at are school (lots of them) who are only like 4'7"!

It's sad though, because there are guys who used to always be shorter than me, and suddenly they grew 3 inches over the summer. In a year's time, I've only grown a half inch. A half inch! I really don't mind much being short, but couldn't I grow just two more inches? smilies/rolleyes.gif

It is a state of mind. The clothing style if you choose to look like the real thing here it is: 17- 18th prom and circumstance. Waistcoasts and long dresses. Black is not neceassarly the color, but certainly velvet and silk is the choice material.

Brinniel, as I only know you from RPG my image of you may be a little odd. I think of you in long floaty dresses, all floral and pastel. I think your hair is at least shoulder length and probably brown and slightly curly. You have ear-rings in the shape of Dream Catchers and are probably in your mid-teens.
No offence intended if I'm way off the mark. When I last described someone months ago they seemed rather shocked at my inaccuracy.
By the way to those who discuss the 'Gothic' state. Try calling yourself 'Bohemian', there's a bigger scope for self expression within that particular pidgeon hole.

Good lord, I totally missed this thread up until now! Here's mine, they're kind of brief:

Lush: Essence of Russian teenager (in a good way). Blond hair, very thin, likes to wear black clothes and high-heeled boots smilies/smile.gif. Very energetic.

Raefindel - Like Mrs. Weasley from Harry Potter, only a bit younger (this is meant to be a compliment, BTW smilies/smile.gif). She doesn't quite have the ability to point a wand at a pot and have it produce a stew, but she can do most of the other things.

Samwise - On the small side, blond, has a mystical ability to control hordes of small children.

Marileangorifurnimaluim (did I spell that right?) - Tall, thin, in her mid-thirties with dark bobbed hair and a bookshelf full of historical and theological texts so dense that most of us would weep.

Diamond18 - About 5'6", brown hair down to the middle of her back, 18 years old (don't know where I got that from smilies/smile.gif) with freckles and at least one book under her arm at all times.

burrahobbit - Short and thin, with black curly hair and wearing a Nietzsche t-shirt ("What doesn't kill me makes me stronger.")

Birdland - Brown hair in a bun, mid-forties, good cook and raconteur with a fund of travel stories about things that happened to her while she was hiking in the wilds of Peru (or someplace similarly remote).

Knight of Gondor - square-faced, brown hair, very good at sports when he gets a chance to play.

I'm kind of tired right now so I'm probably forgetting a lot of names. Am I at all close on these?

Rae, thanks smilies/smile.gif. Actually I thought the movie Mrs. Weasley was OK but I'd always pictured her looking younger and rounder-faced in the books. The red hair was mainly what I was getting at; that and the ability to keep the youngsters in order with good humor.

Lush - hey, I was right? Mostly I just remembered walking down the street in Moscow and what the predominant trends there were. All those stalls and stalls of high-heeled boots - as for the black clothes, I learned about those very quickly. On my first day there I made the mistake of wearing a red windbreaker on the train and I stuck out like an ambulance strobe on a pitch-dark night.

As for me, I am a brunette - the thing people tend to notice about me is that I can sit on my hair; if I had a dollar for every time I've been asked "Have you ever cut your hair in your life?" I'd be - well, I wouldn't have to be stressing about looking for a new job. I'm not small or large; 5 1/2 feet tall; "average" really does fit me. Cute? Eh, more bookwormy. Glasses, of course. And I drive a station wagon, but only because it was handy for moving all my/our possessions in and out of apartments and dorms every few months. One day I'll have that bright red car...

As for cooking, Rae, I think you must have been spying on me last night as I tried to gently prick a pie crust that I was baking and somehow managed to shatter it into about 45 pieces. Argh! (The other survived, fortunately).

I am indeed 5'6", 18 years old, with brown hair (though I like to call it light reddish brown, to be exact, and keep it between chin and shoulder length most of the time...I'm letting it grow out now, though...). Since I've seen Alk's pic pages it's kind of hard for me to guess about people's appearances...though I must say that in my mind's eye all REB RPGers looks like their characters (even if I know for a fact that they don't).

Squatter looks more like Baklava than Etceteron, though not as a horse... He always wears black. Nimble too, as one would need to be to climb fences in the dark.
Estelyn is Princess Fiona, of course, though her hair is pale and golden rather than brown.
The Barrow-Wight has very big hair...like Bon Jovi from a long time ago. He's also, of course, very athletic because he walks or runs everywhere he goes.
Kuruharan, well, is Kuruharan. Read his description of himself in the RPG and you'll see what I see. Has a crazy sort of twinkle in his eyes.
Bethberry looks like Cate Blanchett as Galadriel, only dressed in Gothic clothing. Always wears a knowing smile.
Rimbaud is Kermit the Frog. Sorry, even the bonny blond Halfullion cannot shake that mental image.
Birdland is, well, a bird. A small, chirping songbird. smilies/smile.gif
Sharon looks whimsical, like a dreamer, sometimes a little absent like Pettygast. Yet has deep eyes, venerable and wise. Wears long skirts, cowboy boots, and flowers in her flowing salt-and-pepper hair.

As for other people...hmm...like I said, I've looked at Alk's pic page far too many times to remember what I thought before I saw 'em. People who aren't on the page, I see as their avatars. I will say, however, that Littlemanpoet is a Midplit.

I am a young teenager, have medium-ish length brown hair, eyes which change shade a bit but are usually grey or green (sometimes blue), and am very tall for my age. I have glasses which I sometimes wear, and braces which I am afraid will drive me crazy in the near future. My clothes are... well, pretty normal. In school I wear jeans or long pants or something and a shirt that I like (descriptive, huh? smilies/wink.gif ), and out of school I'm sometimes more wacky, and almost always out of school I wear a backwards baseball cap which my parents intensely dislike. I am a bookworm in the extreme and am never seen without a book. I am Russian except born here and never been there (her being MA, USA, there being Russia smilies/wink.gif ) but you can't tell just by looking smilies/rolleyes.gif I am also damn lazy and spend almost all my free time curled up with a book or on the Downs. Not that I don't love sports and things, especially bashing someone's head in... smilies/evil.gif: or playing Capture the Flag in the woods. Just the Downs are best, I 'll sacrifice anything for them... today I didn't eat lunch so that I could sneak into the computer lab and check out my RPG and generally how the Downs' life was going, even though I had been on for 10 minutes before school.

Strange how much perceptions of people change...actually, the photos which Alk so kindly put together dont have much impact on what I think of people.

Mattius- Well, at first, you were unfortunately fixed in my mind as the mouse from the Redwall series who shares your name- its ok, hes a really cool character- but after that Ive had the same image of you for a while- Cloud from Final Fantasy (VII)- hey, twas your avatar. Its evolved a bit....spiky blonde hair, not really delibeately spiked, just cool, messy spikey, dark blue eyes, about...erm...5ft 6 (? patchy on that). Angular face, with quite high cheekbones, and an easy smile. Quite thin lips. I dont think you have freckles. Casual clothes; dark jeans, possible a Queens of the Stone Age T-shirt...

Mithadan- Early twenties, graduating from law school I think. Well cut suit, but you still have an incessant habit of fiddling with those cuffs. In fact, to say well cut would describe much of you. Clean shaven. Light blue, or dark brown eyes. Going with the brown, you also have brown, well cut hair.

I actually didn't think about it much when choosing it. The biggest similarity is the hair color; mine used to be all the way blonde, but it's darkened to a very light brown. In some lights it looks like honey - deep golden brown with a tad of red. But it's wavy and much longer (to my waist) and I have very blue eyes.

And Sophia, I know you appearance has already been discussed, but I picture you with black, black hair with a few blue glints in it. Like a night-time thunderstorm in the summer - darker clouds covering up the deep blue sky and shimmering with sheet lightning.

Of course, I have no idea where I get that picture. No idea whatsoever.

I picture Natalia in a smoky bar, somewhere along the university strip, seated at a table, playing five card stud, a cigar dangling from her mouth, a double vodka straight in a white plastic cup in front of her, fully clothed, sitting across from a bunch of long haired bikers grumbling because Natalia’s poker skills have left them in only their underwear.

Well, I don't have that many freckles and the ones I have don't show up very well. I have never been accurate in guessing what people actually look like as I posted on one of the earlier pages, I guess that comes from a somewhat overactive imagination. Though I do have two guesses at those who I have had the pleasure of rpg'ing with recently.

Amanduial, you have always seemed quite young in my mind. Small, slim, blonde. You've deep eyes, possibly blue or grey? I see your hair as quite short, perhaps just past your shoulders with a wave to it.

Mattius, late teens, tall and slim. You've short, light brownish hair. Fair skinned though I cannot picture nationality. You seem to be a deep thinker, highly intelligent.

Hmmm, Faybevin Bombadil and Lossentilien now look very similar to me (when I see the avatar) but if you said the name Lossentilien to me, I'd probably think middle to late teens, long dark brown hair, don't know about eyes, I never look at people's eyes but you have a long(ish) face and a small mouth.

I'm 17, long curly/wavy hair which is naturally dark, but half of it still has the odd blond bit from when it was dyed. Eyes are strange, kinda green/brown/grey/blue. S'pose I have a long face, but mouth's not really what I would call small.

This is gonna sound really freaky, but I was watching MTV Becoming Christina Aguilera Wannabe, and there was this one lady in the jury, I think she was Christina´s Songwriter, and she looked alot like what I imagine Child aka Cami to look like. Can´t tell why though. smilies/rolleyes.gif

Well, I don't think I'm allowed to link it onto here, so I'll try and describe it anyhow. It's a painting of Beren watching Luthien dance, and Luthien looks unpleasantly like a ballerina (no insult to ballerinas, just not how I'd think of her smilies/wink.gif). Beren is lying in the shadows on a log (comfortable, comfortable...) and staring at her with a really funny expression in his eyes. His clothes are kind of... Robin Hood-y smilies/tongue.gif , and he has light/medium brown hair, with nice bangs flipped a bit onto his forehead. Moderately tall. But I can't get the Robin Hood type clothes out of my mind smilies/tongue.gif

Originally I was blond, but my hair's darkened a bit, so in certain lights you could call it light-brown, yes. In others you might get mouse, and others a lovely golden. So you get a 1 out of 1.

My eyes are sea-grey. Or at least I think so. A few flecks of both brown and green, or at least last time I checked properly, are there, though. So you get a .01 mark for that.

As to my height, you got that pretty much right. Full marks.

Any more advances? There are still heaps of unguessed things about me.

I live in America, and I assume that grade 10 is approximately 16, give or take a year... unless you skip grades or something, but that's rare.

I think that you - Lyra - often wear green, have dark wavy auburn hair, and you're soft-spoken.

But I have a distinct feeling that I am immensely biased because of your avatar.

Either you're a teenager or you're a lot older. I mean, you're either in your thirties or forties, or you're about 15 or 16. That's my guess anyway. Probably way out.

I see you being quite short (everyone I know with the name Rebekah is short) with shoulder length browny-reddy hair. And you wear thick, black, round-rimmed glasses (I know that last bit isn't true but ever scince you said you wore glasses I can't get the image out of my head).

I have this fear of getting someones age wrong and really insulting them. Ah well...I apologise in advance if I do that to anyone. Also, these wont necessarily be very serious. If I lable you as a cartoon character, please dont be offended!

Archer: Hmmm... probably darkish hair, fairly long, around fifteen, "normal" jeans and Top sort of clothes, ponytail/braids?? (I didn´t look at the other guesses!)
Well done, yeah! Fourteen actually- Im flattered though!- and I tend to wear my hair in a ponytail, or in two plaits. Do I have any other trousers other than jeans?! Generally mosh style, wide jeans though.

Well, tis only fair I have a go at you now Manardariel.

Manardariel: Brownish-red hair, quite long (I suppose to say about my length wont be helpful...)say about a handspan below your shoulders, smattered with occasional little braids. Green eyes, quite wide. Freckles are in order I think, but not incredibly intrusive and scary ones, just a few across your nose. Smily, cheery, friendly face, generally set in a grin.

Dragoneyes: Maybe its because of your avatar, the little dragon looks a little anime-esque. So partly I think you look a little like an anime character. Ok, another part of my brain is rolling around on the floor laughing, so i'll try again. Light brown hair, down to just above your shoulders, blue or brown eyes. Quite serious and tolerant, but not cold or boring. 15 years old.

God, Im probably so far off Im still accelerating into space...

Good guess! But not quite. Although my hair is long compared to most, I'm not very good at volleyball(I can spike, that's about it), and don't have brown hair or eyes. I think I'm 5'5", but I doubt I'll get any taller, I was supposed to stop growing at 5'3" smilies/rolleyes.gif (?). Keep guessing you guys!

More or less short. Above 5'3", last time I checked. Not quite tall enough to count myself as tall as Dad. Who happens to be the shorter parent in our family.

I wish I had that hair. smilies/tongue.gif But you were wrong, except about the length. I happen to be growing it as fast as I can, but it's still only shoulder-length.

Glasses - I have these thingummajig glasses, the ones that darken in the sun and go back to normal when it isn't sunny. They're oval, with browny coloured frames.
