I've noticed that on Barrow Downs in the Fan Fiction section many stories are missing, including "Interview With The Elf" by Navatariel smilies/frown.gif Why?? It had over 200 reviews that I saw, it fit in with Middle Earth, and it was very well written smilies/frown.gif I've talked with many other fans of the story who are soo sad about this! Why did you take it down?? Everybody wants to read the ending of such a cool story smilies/frown.gif

If anyone out there feels the same as we do, please e-mail the webmaster and tell them so Navatariel can finish her story!

Our fanfiction section was cut drastically to represent the general outlook the Barrow-Downs have on Tolkien; serious, but the first to appreciate quality humour. Naturally, a lot of stories had to be dropped since they were neither. Try looking on other fanfiction sites or via a websearch.

That's too bad Sharku...stuff like "Dude, where's my ring" in their indeviduality added a little sparkle to the site. I know that this site is supposed to be all serious and realisic and stuff, but I enjoyed the odd foolishness now and again.

I'm sure many of the fics we took off the page are available on other sites. Don't ask me where, but a simple web search should suffice.

fanfiction.net is where you'll find thousands of LotR-related fan fics. I even posted my own there, though I never finshed them.

Really? What name are you under? I love fanfics. Aina tried to get her fanfics up and running, but the stupid thing stopped working for me, so I switched to mediaminer.org it's a bit more organized then fanfiction.net.

Waht I wonder, besides "Where *have* all the god humor fics gone?" is "Why are there still 'Sues on this site?"

There's one 'One Dance to Rule them All' that really sticks in my craw. Drows in Middle-earth? *DROWS*!!!!!!!!! I mean, you have vampires, werewolves, shapeshifting angels, talking trees, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Trolls, Giant Flaming Eyes, nifty horses, talking dogs, talking *swords* and you *still* aren't happy? By the Valar...oh, and Mr B-W? Don't worry about removing it a'cause I'm PPC-ing it smilies/evil.gif

Which brings me to my final question "Can you submit PPC fics to the 'Downs? I've got 'The Hobbit' under my protection and so need to put my reports somewhere."

boo_radley, I have some good news for you, 'Interview with the Elf' is on FanFiction.net (a.k.a. The Evil Empire). It's only up to chapter 5, though, and I don't know where it was up to here.

*sighs* the Evil Empire has lost even more GoodFic than the 'Downs, I miss Dark Leaf. *starts to pine for her long lost favourite story*

You mean 'Riding on the Back of Your Horse' is gone? That was in the fanfiction on here, wasn't it? Now there's a quality heart-warming story!

It's really about time. They were a good laugh (for the first five minutes), but they really did not fit here in the Barrow Downs. I'm surprised it took you this long, BW! Busy are we? smilies/wink.gif

Are you accepting new fan fictions now, because I believe I remember you stopping acceptance of them...?

I personally am glad that the BD fanfiction has been cleaned up, but I miss Mistaken Heritage by Talkinghawk. Does anyone know where I can find it? I did a search on Google, but I couldn't find it.
