Pio,
I suppose you would like the reaction of the poor Muddyfoot family, as well? smilies/smile.gif
Am I correct in saying that Stoatie will actually do the work, and that Bill is only his 'boss'? Or will Bill be actually at the scene?

Tears and wails and the gnashing of teeth, Angelica!!!!
I think Stoatie will do the deed - but he should probably meet up with Ferny at the hideout wondering what they should do with the formidable toddler!!! smilies/wink.gif

We were in the month of Lotessë; Now we are in the following month, Nárië (which has 30 days). After 30 Nárië wil be Loendë, Mid-years day, and the twins birthday.
I have just compressed time about a month, to the early morning of 26 Nárië.(5 days from this is the birth of the twins)
Stoatie and B Ferny - Can you now perform a nefarious deed around Hobbiton/Bywater - we'll keep the day at the 26th Nárië for this.
Can we get the horrified reaction of the good citizens once this event has occured.
Sharon/ Mith - whoever would like to tackle this - after this kidnapping, someone needs to play the Shiriff and ride trusty Dumpling back to the Inn to accost the Big Folk - if you'ld like, he can show up on Mid-year day and Pio can break up his rant by going into labor.

Yes, that was the post. Thanks Pio. Computer being checked as we speak. Borrowed a rather jazzy lap-top to keep up with things but have to return it to its owner regularly so they can use it to earn an honest crust. Therefore my postings may be even more sporadic than usual. Many apologies. If I have to return it just when my nefarious deed is required I will PM Nuru with my words or even put them here for someone else to post, hope that will be fine. I can delete once used. Did that make sense? How come nothing I say out of character ever makes sense? So sorry.

Sorry about your sick computer. Yes, if you need to, just post on the discussion thread and we will insert it where it fits best in the game. The next big thing is kidnapping #1. ( BTW, either Pio or I can then delete the duplicate post from the discussion thread.)
Good luck getting your computer fixed! We'll understand if Stoat is a bit under the weather for a while!

Nuru,
I have a question about the order of recent posts. Your post of 4-11 at 6:48 said this:
At the same time as the Shirriff was hearing of the man with the bundle over his shoulder,
Was this referring to the hobbit whom Frodo discovered in my post of 4/15, 2:14 p.m. That hobbit was a poacher and he and his grandson saw the bandit with the bag over his shoulder. The bandit told them he was looking for bad boys. Or was there another reference to a bandit with a bag you are alluding to that I might have missed?
If you're referring to the bandit seen by the poacher, shouldn't your post come later, immediately after mine? (Just the first part of your post, not he later part which is on a different topic.)
Please clarify. I may have this wrong in my head as I am trying to play catch-up now after several busy days. BTW, I'll be glad to paste it after mine, if that's what you want. Another possible alterntive---edit the reference to the bag and the bandit.

Child of the 7th Age

For Orual .....and anyone else who's slightly lost....
---Mithadan and Birdland have decided to "infiltrate" the bandits to gather inside information. They are now on their way to Bree to try and hitch up with the bad guys, even though Pio is due to give birth any day now.
---The bandits (Auriel, Nuru) have kidnapped Fosco, the nasty little child who is the son of Angelica Baggins (Nuru), and is holding him with the other hobbit children. He is proving to be quite a handful
---Rose Goodchild (WhiteLady) and Gilly Took (played by Pio) tried to run off to join Mithadan and Bird in their foray to the bandits. Gilly was sent back by Mithadan to the Inn, since she is supposed to be a nursemaid to the twins. She is expected to arrive sometime tomorrow. However, Rose Goodchild, being the stubborn type like her mother, has gone on with Mithadan and Bird.
---Cami and Maura have decided to disobey the orders of the Valar that they go their separate ways (Second and Third Ages) at the end of the tale. They are determined to stay together. Pio treated Cami rather abruptly, so Cami left Hobbiton in a tiff and vowed not to return. The sensible Maura changed her mind and she is now returning. Oh, yes, Cami is pregnant....
Frodo Baggins has heard the rumors on the street that he is to blame for the appearance of the bandits. He vows to do whatever is necessary to help clean up the mess.
If anyone has anything to add or clarify, please be my guest.
********************************************
As I read over this synopsis, I am reminded of the afternoon soaps!
********************************************
What happens next, and how does Sam fit in?
---In the next few days (game and real time), Pio will have her twins with the assistance of Angelica Baggins, her midwife.
---One week after the birth of the twins (game time), there will be a party given to celebrate the arrival of the twins, and for Cami and Maura to exchange public vows.
---Sam, sometime tomorrow real time, Frodo will come to you and ask if you can throw the baby arrival/wedding party at Bag-end. Perhaps you could respond to him as you see fit and help with the planning, and welcome folk to your house on the day of the party?
---One minor point, during the course of the party, rumor has it that the twins may be stolen......but we won't get into such unpleasant things now.
Hope this helps. Anyone else with anything to throw in?

By 7 or 8 Cermië we should be having the party at Sam's.
When Sharon returns, I'll see if we want to crunch some time to get to that point.

There is a new rule from the Barrow Wight:
All profiles are now limited to storing no more than 10 Private Messages (PMs). If you currently have more than 10 in your profile, people will not be able to send you new PMs. To receive new PMS, you must have 10 or less stored in your profile.
This was done because PM traffic was accounting for almost as much as public traffic.
We cannot contact you if you do not clear out your PM's.
Thanks! Pio

Cami and Maura have finally figured out what they are doing. They are ready for whatever time crunch you care to perform.....

Under Orual's post of May 9 at 1:06 p.m., I've added a discussion of flowers for the party. Yes, that was not a misprint!
Actually, this was kind of interesting. I have a book from 1913 that gives the meanings of about 500 flowers. I am quite sure Tolkien would have been familiar with these meanings. Lobelia, for example, means "malevolence."
Needless to say, Cami did not choose that one for her bouquet.

. . . how everyone, even Piosenniel, would be expected to bring one of their favorite dishes to share with the other guests at Bag-end.
Now that should be interesting: I don't believe cooking is one of the Elf's skils . . .
Child of the 7th Age

Pio,
The Elf can't cook??!! Did Bird do all the cooking on those long adventuring treks that you two had together? That's probably unheard of in the Shire. Even bachelors like Bilbo seem to have operated a pretty fair kitchen.
Cami grins as she expertly wields a chef's knife in one hand and a ladle in the other.
Oh well, now you'll know how Cami feels when someone thrusts a weapon at her and orders her to go forward into battle!
Good luck in the kitchen!

I am hoping by sometime next week we can push very near the party if not actually get into it.

Carrun,
Hope your exams are behind you.
Pio or I will get with you with some ideas, once we've had some time to think things through.
General Notice:
Auriel will be away from the Downs for several weeks on family business. She told Nurumaiel to go ahead with the game and handle her character or have someone else do it.
For the next few weeks, I will have the pleasure of playing the nasty Stoatie and getting a good jab at those pesky, squirmy twins. Pio is threatening to sharpen her blades!
Mithadan, White Lady--Nuru and I briefly spoke. I plan to post late tonight which should lead into a post by Ferny, and then back to you folk. This will hopefully get us on course again.

Everyone:
I received an apologetic note from Carrun explaining that he'd need to withdraw from the game since he would be out of town for most of June. He had a good suggestion for an experienced writer to replace him who had expressed an interest in the game.
I've written a note seeing if this person would like to play Frodo-lad. Will let you know when I receive an answer.
Also, Orual, ......this is Stoatie. Please check your pms.

Notice
Himaran, one of our experienced writers and game founders, has agreed to join the game, playing Frodo-lad in place of his missing brother Carrun.
Orual will be playing Shifty, and will accompany Stoatie on his little trip to "pick up the twins". After Stoatie saw how the Elf was arming herself, he thought that bringing along an extra person might be wise.

I have hogged a large number of saves, and have filled in the one for June 4 at 7:26 pm. The rest will hopefully get done tomorrow....
If bandits or others need more space, we can "split" the boxes so they are shared by more than one character.

Sharon - I moved posts last night, so there is room for people to post into the 'Saves' around my Party Post of June 05, 2003 04:31 AM.
Anyone needing a post placed, just PM Sharon or I and tell us where you want it.
Point of Information:
We are now at the Day of the Party, 8 Cermië, it is mid-afternoon by my last post as mentioned above - the guests are starting to arrive.

I have left open a number of 'SAVE' spots for whoever needs to use them - PM your posts as needed to Cami or I and tell us where you want them placed.
I'll do one last post tonight which should get us just pre-ceremony time.
Sharon, perhaps you will want to have that (the vow scene) done by Monday if possible, we can move then into the late evening/night section of the party day - Gilly will take the twins back to Amaranthas' and Stoatie and gang can do their stuff.
I will be gone most of the weekend and Monday at work.
