Okay I was afraid to do this while the movies were still filming (not sure why just a foreboding) but now that their done here go's.
1. If you could go back and be the caster who would you have chosen for. . .?
(1)The nine walkers
(2)Galadriel
(3)Bilbo
(4)Eowyn
(5)Arwen
And anyone else you would like.
2. Chose the worst posible actors/actreses you can think of to play the above. Me and some of my Tolkienly inclined friends did this and it was great! So try it out express your feelings with 1. and have fun with 2.

This really weird 70's theme hit me when I saw this question. And I just had to share it.

1) The nine walkers: The cast of the Brady Bunch (including Alice). Gollum would be that kid that played cousin Oliver.
2)Galadriel: Chrissy from Three's Company (a FotR chapter title, sort of)
3)Bilbo: Don Knotts
4)Eowyn: Janet from Three's Company (There it is again!)
5)Arwen: Cheryl Ladd (A Charlie's Angel)

I don't have a BEST list yet.
The Barrow-Wight (RKittle)
I usually haunt The Barrow-Downs and The Barrow-Downs Middle-Earth Discussion Board.
Edited by: RKittle at: 1/4/01 6:09:23 am

This is above me. But the worst actor for Aragorn (in the Medeavil field of acting) would be the guy that played the dragonslayer in Dragonheart.
Gwaihir the Windlord the barrow-downs
'Sing now, ye people of the Tower of Anor,
for the Realm of Sauron is ended for ever,
and the Dark Tower is thrown down.'

Do you realize that when the movies are released, sitcoms will do small parodies of them to get a laugh (dream sequences and such). Further, cartoons will jump on the bandwagon. Which brings me to the epiphany that jumpstarted this paragraph - The Chipmunks!

These are the people that should have played the hobbits. I think for the disaster cast they should use the cast of the Goonies(I hoped I spelled it right.) And Sean Astin will not be Sam in this version.
Frodo:Mikey
Sam:Mikeys mom
Merry:Chunk
Pippin:Sloth
Arwen:Andy
Eowyn:Martha Plimptons character (I forgot her name)
Aragorn:Mikey's brother
Sauron:Troy's Dad
Saurman:Troy
The orcs:The Fatellies(Especially Joey Pants character)
Treebeard:The old man reporter at the end of the film
King Theodon:Mr. Walsh
Eomer: Data
The Mouth of Sauron:Mrs. Fatelli
Gandalf:Mouth
Gollum/Smeagol:Rosalita (Thinks theat Frodo has drugs and certain other devices)
Bilbo: Mrs. Walsh
Elrond: The dead government agent guy stuck in the freezer.
Legolas:The officer who thinks that Chunk makes stuff up all the time.
That would be an interesting disaster cast.
I hope the Simpsons do a parody of the LOTR, That would be absolutely spectacular
If anyone has not seen it, but South Park did a great parody too (I am not a South Park fan, I actually kind of hate that show, but this episode was very enjoyable)
If they would have kept that Stuart Towndsend, who was going to play Aragorn, that would have been terrible.
WeWantsIt I love your avatar
[ January 23, 2003: Message edited by: Gorwingel ]

I really think that all the worst charecters have allready been named but one person I could not think to be Arwen - and that is Cher . No offence but that is just unbeliveble . And no way I could imagine Silvester Stallone as Aragorn .
And I agree with most of you : members of boybands as any of the charecters ? I mean, that is just sick

If any of these disaster casts ever happened, I would renounce all ties to this planet and live on Mars. John Travolta or Leonardo DiCaprio as Legolas?! In the name of Eru, stop the madness and the spread of terrifying mental images! just kidding

Welcome to the Downs, Urwendi!
Those are some interesting ones...

Are you sure LeBeouf and Christenson could get along? That'd be a wierd combination... I think Shia would drive Hayden nuts. But you're right about his whole whiny thing.
