In one of the recent trailers/previews, they show Frodo from the side and suddenly this huge mis-shapen head appears from behind a rock. I assume it's in Moria. What is that thing? It looks different than the troll they show in the other shot (where the troll swings his club), but I guess it must be a troll. Does anyone know?

I thought the troll looked too childish, it was similar to the Harry Potter troll in the dungeon.

I said that too! well, in Harry potter, I reckon after they knocked it out, it woke up and legged it to Moria...I seem to remember posting somewhere that I thought that was the Balrog and wasn't impressed. Don't misunterstand me...it was a very good troll, but would have made a terrible excuse for a balrog, so perhaps you can forgive me.<P>Anyone agree that the understatement of the year would have to be Boromir looking out the door, and casually saying "hm, they have a cave troll." ?

He was'nt saying it casually he was saying matter of factly warningly. Either way it was funny for the time and place. I did'nt just JUMP when the troll scared Frodo, I SCREAMED. That thing was FREAKY.

put it this way, he didn't seem all that concerned. it was kinda bug-eyed, like a hammer head shark. anyone notice the stone trolls in the background when Frodo was stabbed the first time?
