So far I have seen it 4 times, it gets better with every viewing, and I've found that things that I didn't notice in previous viewings. Apart from a few scenes that were overdone, it was an awesome movie, and I plan to see it many more times.

I've seen it three times. I know I'll see it again in a week or so, and again after The Two Towers trailer starts being shown with it. Then that still leaves 11 more months till TTT comes out, so I'm sure I'll see it at least once or twice more before the DVD is released. It just begs to be seen on the big screen; my television is only 27 inches.

I've seen it twice. Once with my friend and the other time with my Dad. The first time we were too close up to the screen so I decided to see it a second time in a good seat. I think I might take my girlfriend to see it also.

I'm going for a third time tonight...I really don't have a life over the holidays, do I? I should be relaxing at home with the book and a glass of rum; it's too chilly outside! Instead, I will be going out tonight. I guess it's a combination of Legolas and the cinematography that does it for me.

I love the whole experience of going to and sitting in the cinema auditorium, being with the audience, being completely absorbed ....
Sorry; I am a working student myself; I have the money by skimping on other things for a while.

i have seen it twice already (my mom and dad tease me and call me teh Lord of teh rings queen). I plan to see it more though. It holds my attention for the whole time....and a movie that does that has gotta be good.

I've seen it twice, once in English, my native language, and once in German, my second and very half-forgotten language. Fortunately, because I am so familiar with the books and had seen it in English first, I understood the movie in German perfectly.

I saw the movie twice and it was really cool both times. I think the first time was better, cause the second time seemed to take a really long time and it was very late. I think it was one of my favorite movies of all. I will probably wait for the video and buy it. Yes, I still use VHS!
quote:

Only twice so far. My 10 yr old son is bugging me about seeing it again this holiday weekend and only this flu bug is keeping me from it.
Certainly enjoyed the film much better the second time and look forward to the third time to being that much more enjoyable.
Can't wait until it is released on DVD.

I've seen it twice, soon to be three, times. It's hard to go to the movies a lot when you can't drive and only get $10 a week.......

Three times so far, with plans to go again, later, before the second movie comes out. Much better the second time, just love looking around Bilbo's home (looks like my cozy place - stuff everywhere - I like it).
I can't wait to put my feet up and watch all three in a row.

I've been four times, only getting in twice. Only one of the eight or so cinemas in town is showing it, and it's also the most popular cinema in town...but they only show it three times after 4:00. 'Tis okay though, I'm going tomorrow to see it again.

Hello from Spain!!!
I´ve seen it twice and I cried both.I´ve only read "The Hobbit" and now I´m reading "The Silmarilion", but I felt completely in love with the movie and the characters on it. Surely I´ll see it again and again until it´ll be releaed on DVD.

I'll have to buy a DVD player one day just to get the Director's Cut (another 45 minutes or so, according to rumor).
I've seen it thrice in the cinema, once by myself (opening day matinee), once with the Mrs (opening night), and once with a friend.
The Mrs tells me I must take her again and thus ENDURE it for a fourth time.
Somehow, I don't think I'll mind!

Dear, I have multiplied 195 minutes (the approximate length of the movie) by 9, and I got this number: 1755. I then divided that by 60 and got 29.25 (hours). That's more than a day!
...I myself may go see it a fourth time, if the withdrawal is too terrible.

New Line hasn't made an announcement yet as to when they will switch the current film with the one including the trailer. If they expect the movie to run until March they may do it next month sometime, or when it starts to fall in the box office take.

I have seen the movie only once, but would like to see it again, this time bring my wife. But if everybody watches the movie 3+ times as it seems the majority have(at least in here), then this movie will be rackin' in the big bucks.
I wonder what they'll do with all the left over money(If there is such a thing as that in Hollywood).

Lush
01-06-2002, 09:49 PM
Well, they can go by themsevles at least to ice-cream cones with the "left-over money", because today I saw the movie for the fourth time. For my own weird reasons, of course.

I read in IMDb, that they would start running the TTT trailers with FotR after the Oscar nominations are announced.

I've only seen it once so far, but I plan seeing it again sometime soon.. this time I'll read through a "101 things you saw, think you saw or missed in the film"list that I found somewhere before and then watch out for everything and then laugh loudly when I see them.. hhmm.. I will not buy anything to drink this time, though.. three hours of pain last time.. ^_^ oh well, I survived..

Only once so far! Would like to catch it at least once more on the big screen though. Perhaps I'll wait till after the Oscars and see if QueenMag heard correctly - that would be great! It will have to come out on DVD before I get to see it as many times as I've read the book though!

I've seen FotR 3 times now, once on opening day, once with another obsessed friend, and once with my Dad, brother and a friend. I'm planning to go again when the TTT trailers come out.
There are only a few things I have a problem with though ... 1. Tom got cut out I was looking forward to seeing Tom. And 2 in the final shot of Frodo standing on the shores of the Anduin he is crying and remembering what Gandalf said to him earlier in the movie, in one shot the tear on his left cheek is farther down his face than the tear on his right cheek, then in the next shot it is opposite. Its not that this bothers me, it's just something that I noticed the first time I saw it.
Did anyone see the trolls (from The Hobbit, turned to stone) in the background of one of the scenes?

the 1st time i saw it there were 2 or 3 8 year olds behind my mom and i and during the very last scene one of the girls leans over to her friend and says 'sam looks like your dad!' it was so cute
and the last time i saw it there was a kid down the row who kept pulling his straw through the top of his coke the whole time...it made that weird squeaking sound...ugh!! lol
