*trying to control hysterical laughter long enough to type this*<P>I'm just now, for the first time ever, hearing the song "Frodo of the Nine Fingers" from the Rankin/Bass RotK cartoon. It is the funniest thing I have heard concerning LotR yet! Now I know why Tolkien never wrote out that particular song. <P>I'm sorry if this is an odd post, but that song was just so...so...I don't know how to describe it! I just had to comment where everyone could see! If you haven't heard it yet, you should look for it just for a good laugh!<P> <P>Why did they even let him come back to Gondor? If I were Aragorn I'd ship that minstrel off to Orthanc as part of Saruman's punishment.

Lyrics! We want lyrics! Nah, on second thought, some things are best not known.<P>'...it is all too likely that some will say at this point: "Turn off the VCR dad; we don't want to hear any more." '

hehehe, luv that song! At first, I wouldn't download it, I didn't want to hear anything that might be LotR bashing, but I'm glad I got this one!

Don't forget "Where there's a whip, there's a way" the song the orks sang in Mordor when Sam & Frodo joined their band!

I should be getting the movie of RotK soon-ish, so I'll get to hear and see all of this stuff in action! *not sure whether to be afraid or to be happy* I love Rankin/Bass! <P>And I'd've posted the lyrics except I couldn't find them anywhere I couldn't handle laughing that hard agian so soon after first hearing "Frodo of the Nine Fingers".

It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen...even my kids lost interest.

I'm keeping hope alive with the thought that absolutely nothing can be worse than the Bakshi LotR cartoon. At least the animation will be cool. (I love the Rankin/Bass style. And it helps that "The Last Unicorn", another one done by them, played a huge part in my childhood.)
