TTT- the poll

There seem to be so many different views out here about TTT. Now rather than have a bunch of arguments and having us get mad at each other, I'll have a simple poll. Well, here are the rules:<P>You rate the movie on what you think from 0-10. 0 is the absolute worst, and ten is the best. Be honest. You can only vote once. When you vote, you just type the number and that's all. No messages or anything else as to avoid arguments and stuff like that. And no 20's or -10's or anything like that. No decimals or fractions besides 1/2 and .5, i.e. 3.7, or 6 and 2/3. Well, I changed it so now you can vote a number and a half. To make it clear, these are the only numbers you can pick- 0 - 0.5 - 1.5 - 2 - 2.5 - 3 - 3.5 - 4 - 4.5 - 5 - 5.5 - 6 - 6.5 - 7 - 7.5 - 8 - 8.5 - 9 - 9.5 - 10. Yeah Diamond, after a while I'll post an average. Well, I'll do one right now. Up to Marileangorifurnimaluim's post, The Two Towers stands at about 8.83 . Pretty good.<P>That average is assuming that dunedain_aragorn's vote was a 10 (not an 11- Nurumaiel got the picture), and that Armani_Elf's vote was a 9 overall. If I'm wrong, please tell me. Thanks for the votes everyone, and thanks for following the guidelines.

Sorry, I'm gonna have to use an 8.5 It was better than an eight, but assigning it a 9 seems too generous. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the movie, but that's just the mark that I feel it deserved overall.

Ok, maybe this is too general in having 0-10. Ok, now I'll allow 1/2's and .5's. So everyone please change their votes if you need to, then I'll bring the average up to date. 8.<P>Overall it was very good, but there were some moments that I thought were pretty bad. (*coughArwencough*) The acting was superb, if anything it was better than the acting in Fellowship (the only thing that could've made it better was if Sean Bean could come back, but Boromir's dead and it would be weird if he took another part.) The scenery was incredible as always. The CGI was flawless, especially the Ringwraith's beasts. The cinematography was awesome. It was just a couple of changes...Faramir, the addition of Arwen's scenes, even, just a little, the extension of Helm's Deep (it got a little old the second time around)...those couple of scenes just irritated me. But I'm holding out for a hero...RotK will be wonderful, I'm counting on it.<P>~*~Orual~*~

10, and I'm being completly honest! I sware! No one could ever do better making The Two Towers into a movie. And it is one of the few movies that is worth the 6 bucks to see it. Even more (not too much though!) It was truly entertaining and stayed with the books close enough. It had to be entertaining to a 21st century audience! And it was. I've seen it 4 times already. Well in my opnion I would give it a 9 because of the war scenes just completely made up for everything else espeically Frodo and Sam not getting into Mordor,another good thing was the Easterlings they were just pain excellent.

I loved TTT, as well as FOTR. I give both movies a 9.5. Although, I have to say, I don't really consider them to be separate movies. They are more like part 1,2 3 of the one movie. I saw TTT as part of an all night movie marathon and they showed FOTR first, then TTT and 6 hours of LOTR was so awesome! I'm hoping that they will do the same next time with all 3 parts. I think Legolas is the King of Cool Moves!

Well as of alaklondewen's post, TTT stands at an average of 8.768292683. Hmmm, it got better. The range is still 4 (LePetitChoux's idea). Well, either I don't know how to do standard deviation, or I forgot how to (probably forgot). So LePetitChoux, if you want to, you can be in charge of doing that.<P>Thanks for the votes again.

TTT is an 8 with the book and Tolkien's story in mind, but a 10 as a movie overall.

9.5<P>Everything are pretty good. I actually enjoyed the changes in the plot line. It's very interesting. The acting was splendid, the special effect was beyond belief, and the music was divine! (oh Howard Shore i worship you!) The only revolting thing was the editing. I know it's hard to edit such a lengthy and large work, but at least you could link all the scenes together properly!

Film is a very different medium and I can understand pretty much all the changes that were made (well, Faramir was a bit edgier then I would have liked).<P>The only thing really stoping me from giving a 10 is how absolutely powerful the breaking of the Fellowship was at the end of the first film. As a climax, it was far more moving then in Two Towers. I don't think TT could have matched that.<P>H.C.

Hate to be the rebel, but my opinion stands.<P>3<P>It would be even less were it not for the wonderful work with Gollum, and Sam's interpretation of hope in Middle-Earth. Actually, I'd like to change my vote to a 5 (it used to be an 8). I don't know why because when I first thought 8, I was still extremely angry over the changes and all. But now, I've calmed down a lot (and I do mean a lot) and I want to give it less.
