I don't know about getting stuff for free, but if you or anyone you know has the soundtracks on CD then there are lyrics in the little booklets that come with them (FotR - 'The Prophecy', 'Aníron (Theme for Aragorn and Arwen)','Lament for Gandalf', 'In Dreams' and 'May It Be'; TTT - 'The Ents', 'Gollum's Song' and 'The Missing').
As for sheet music - I have a friend who was able to order a book of the music from the official LotR movie site shop (I think that was where she got it)...but check out your local music shops - the ones that sell instruments are more likely to have stuff like that than the ones that sell CDs.

peronally, I just make it up. The music, that is, not the lyrics.

To add to this topic, I have a question about the lyrics. On the TTT soundtrack, there is that set of lyrics called "The Missing" right? For one, which song is that part in, and they don't say it in English do they?
I read somewhere on here that someone was saying it was about Eowyn. I automatically figured it was in English on the cd. Am I wrong about this?

Gosh, I didn't know that they had that much sheet music out already, I thought they still were only selling the music for FOTR for vocals and piano. thanks

You could probably find some sheet music in your local music store. I'm not too sure if these are only Canadian chains, but Long & McQuade, St.John's music and Bach and Beyond might have it. At least, that's what I've found...you know, those little music stores found in strip malls? They usually have some movie music, and most that I've been in have had either the LOTR:FOTR songbook for piano/vocals/chords or just various songs off of the FOTR soundtrack. Good luck

There is another sight as well - www.azlyrics.com, search from there it is quite a good website. 'The missing' lyrics are from Gollum's Song I think.

Eruwen, "The Missing" is on the soundtrack, but not as a seperate track - unfortunately I can't remember which track it's on ("Helm's Deep" maybe?). It's sung in Old-English btw. Oh, & it's not a part of "Gollum's Song" either. "The Missing" almost certainly is about Eówyn.
