Ever since I watched TTT, I haven't been able to shake the feeling that Gollum reminded me of someone. It was like an itch that could not be scratched.<P>That was until I saw <A HREF="http://www.sci-fantasy.com/pictures.htm" TARGET=_blank>This Picture</A> ,entitled "Gollums Ultimate Evolution", then it all became clear. <B>NOTE: this will probably only make sense to members in the UK</B>

The cat of my girlfriend sometimes reminds me of Gollum, especially when she's hungry.

<P>Waylander, that is just brilliant. Thanks for posting the link. <P>I was wondering why Laura Beale went through such a character transformation from nice nanny to scheming b***h, and now it's all become clear - it was the Ring all along ...<P>Nasssty little Ian Bealesesss took our preciouss away from ussss ...

I can kinda get it, but I don't know who that person is, though she must be a personality on the BBC. I can see the similarity though<P>Note: Saucepan Man, I LOVE your new avatar, it is so cool!<BR>I liked your last one, but this one is even better.

Gorwingel, and the other Americans, let me explain. She is an actress in EastEnders (very popular soap opera here). Her character started out a couple of years ago as very sweet and nice, but then she switched to being a crazy b***h as Saucepan Man so nicely put it. The Ring must be behind it...

Oh, now I understand, I have actually heard of that show, but I have never watched it. Some people out in the US actually have a channel called BBC America (which I don't have ) it is on cable, where they have some of the programming that they show on the BBC (One of my sister's friends have it and we went over and watched the episode of "So Graham Norton" which Orlando Bloom was on, very funny) my sister wants to be British

Better than saying she looks like Treebeard or Gimli though!

Suillinan, Oh I have to hand it to you, this was brilliant. Unfortunately what I'm about to say is really mean. A kid in my class has elephantidus of the face and kids were calling him Smeagol, I felt really bad for this kid. I mean seriously, that is cruel. <P>Yeah, that was pointless to share...<P>Maer Tinnu

No, that was not pointless, I would feel sorry for that kid too. I hope calling people who look kind of different "Smeagol" or "Gollum" does not become the norm in the school yard.

Just one question... How did my brothers manage to sneak off to film the movie? I knew that that computer generated slimey creature resembled <B>someone</B> I knew. I didn't think they could escape from the house without my Mum knowing, but it appears that they managed it. lol! <p>[ March 07, 2003: Message edited by: Hirilaelin ]

I think he reminds me of a guy at school who is sorta odd, he seems to have two or three people living inside of him sometimes he is really friendly, sometimes he's really quite, and sometimes he calls teachers names<P>Elves kick butt

No, it makes sense to americans too. (the BBC'll sometimes come on PBS) However, Gollum always reminded me of Michael Jackson, and I don't know why.

This is kind of scary to me, I never noticed it before, but one day my friend looked at me and she reminded me of Gollum. Especially her eyes. But then I didn't see it anymore. It was a bit frightening

Gollum remindes me of my cat. Because sometimes (especially when you cookking meat) she can be the nicest, kindest, cutest creature in the world. But when you walk out of the kitchen with our giving her anything, she will hiss and bite you foot, then the next minute, she's nice again.<P>-------------------------------------------<P>"Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don't look like mutton again tomorrer."<BR>Bert the Troll

I can do a decent imitation of Gollum....er, golluming. It scares my dog. And my friend's dog reminds me of Gollum, she has these mood swings jsut like that cat. Yep. One second she's licking your face and the next she's trying to bite off your eyebrows. Yep.

Oh man. I've gopt something great for those of us un the U.S. Yep, I've found someone who looks a lot more like Gollum. I'll give you a hint- he looks a lot l<B>ike</B> Gollum. Did you get it?<P>Well, try guessing but if you really can't get it the here's a link to his picture <A HREF="http://www.presidentialufo.8m.com/Cheney/ike_photo.jpg" TARGET=_blank>here</A><P>Yep, that's right it's good old Dwight D. Eisenhower, our 34th president of the U.S. It's not the best picture, but it's the best I could find. I amost burst into laughter in my Homefront/Modern America class when I realized this. I could just imagine him petting the hydrogen bomb saying,"Yesss, my precious <I>gollum</I>, it's our birthyday present, yesss..."

My little brother. All the whining and screeching and wailig and moaning. "It burns, it freezes!" Oh, and the rolling around in the dirt. (Usually it's carpet, or on the couch) Yep. As soon as he starting crying and screaming, I knew it had to be my little brother's evil twin. He's even his favorite character. <P>Wait......why are you asking this?

Gollum reminds me of a politician who has seen too much power.
