Yes, I agree, the Bilbo scene was the scariest. I don't think that the Balrog scene was that scary (it was tight though), the only part of that that was kind of scary was when they're going down the great hall and the orcs surround them, and then the Balrog growls and the orcs get scared and run, and the Balrog is coming but all you can see is the flame reflecting off the walls and the shadows (kind of a run-on sentence, huh). But I though that the second scariest part (this may seem surprising) was when Frodo comes home and the place is ransacked. The windows are open, its dark out, and there's a draft in the room. Then Gandalf pops out of the shadows and says 'Is it secret? Is it safe?' That was scary to me. And also when Gandalf yells at Bilbo, and when Frodo tries to give the ring to Gandalf. When Frodo tried to give the ring to Gandalf, Gandalf acted like he would go to hell if he even touched the ring. It was more of a suspence type of scary.
