Granted.
However, the ghost stories that the elves tell are not quite as scary as the Orcs', consequently, when telling the 'chilling' tale of 'The Elf with half a finger missing' the Orcs laughed so much that they called down the Stone Giants to Rivendell, and the destroyed it.
