He did, but as I remember it (being without both Lost Tales and Silm at the moment) it wasn't because of boredom, like a chav falling asleep in a dark movie theater having to watch "You've Got Mail" with his girlfriend, rather because Morgoth, very uncharacteristically, allowed himself to get filled with dark thoughts of sexual desire, thus letting his guard down and giving Luthen the chance to put him to sleep with her cloak. At least that's how I interpret the incident. Especially
The Lost Tales-version is very suggestive, of course in an understated way.
