I never really thought of him as being interested in that sort of activity for its own sake. I assumed that there must be some other motivation involved. However, I might be mistaken. We have the example of Melian who was similar in original nature to Morgoth and she obviously had a child (or we would not be having this discussion). It would be interesting to see what everyone else thinks of this. However, reading over this post, I think I can say without fear of contradiction that this is as good of an example of a conversation-bomb that I have ever seen. It will be almost as interesting to see if anyone has the nerve to reply.
