Hah,I'm the only one here who is from Croatia

I have a friend who's Croatian; she always goes there to visit her relatives over school vacations.

obviously a lot of downers are in their mid teens and I am not sure how much recent history gets taught in schools.....

Absolutely none. My history textbook is from 1998, but of course we spend about two months on the social and economic conditions of the good old thirteen colonies and then have to cram World War II into two days.

At anyrate, it is nice to find common 'stomping' ground among this diverse and far-flung group!

Definitely... there's even a fellow Long Islander here. Hooray for our fair isle!
