Mithril Armor?

As long as were on the topic of mithrel.
Ive always wonderd if they made swords and axes out of mithrel. It would seem that a mithrel sword could keep a sharp edge and still be very light.

I have wondered this too. Sting was described as being very light and strong. I think it is not out of the stretch of imagination to believe that the famous elven blades at least had a mithril component.
