Haudh-en-Ndengin

'Mound of the Slain'

The great burial mound of Elves and Men slain in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad (Battle of Unnumbered Tears - @ 473 1st Age; the fifth, and most disastrous battle in the Wars of Beleriand. The Noldor and their allies, the Edain were utterly defeated.)

The grass grew green and long there, though the rest of Anfauglith was a barren waste.

Also called the Haudh-en-Nirnaeth (Mound of Tears)
