Treebeard doesn't remind me of Jar Jar in the least... he speaks fluent English! As for Gollum, I picture him (in the book and hopefully in the movies) as being a sort of depressing, pathetic figure. I think the only funny part will be when he says "What’s taters, precious, eh, what’s taters?"
