I predict that Eomer will actually become a werewolf one day! We'll know this when his posts start to look a little strange, i.e. he can't hit the keys properly with wolf paws...

The phantom will kill Gil-gallad [EDIT: and vice verca] because no one else could be bothered. And The Barrow Wight will never give the sight to anyone; he'll continue to run it when he's old and grey with a beard the size of the Downs themselves.

The Guy who be short will turn out to be a stone giant and throw rocks at us all. Also, Sleepy Ranger will finally admit to being a narcoleptic, to the surprise of no one. And Morsul the Dark will turn out to be quite a bright chap.

And of course, Hookbill the Goomba will have been driven out of town for posting on Crazy captions too often.

As for predictions I will continue to sidle in and read the CbC discussions before sidling out again due to being terrified by davem and his intense posting.

TGWBS will go on a major recruiting campaign for the Quenya thread, not stopping until he has an entire fora devoted to it and at least as many male learners as female.

Eomer will have his nubbin removed resulting in a memorial service for the loss of one of the finest captioners the Downs has.

Eventually, B-W will become bored of repetitive threads and go insane. He'll start off small, neg-repping people for no reason, then build up to nonsense posts. Eventually he'll be created 10 ridiculous threads per hour. People will leave and he will be satisfied...

Eventually, everything that could have been discussed about the Books and Movies, and every question a newcomer could ask, will have been discussed and answered. These forums will turn into archives and be abandoned. The only forums to live on will be Mirth, by which time we will be addressing questions such as "Would the fellowship have succeeded if Gimli were a small apple pie?" (These would primarily have been created by the Barrow Wight after his lamentable descent into lunacy.)

...Oddwen will write, record, and somehow upload a song extolling the virtues of the Barrowdowns. She will be offered a contract, and go on tour opening for the likes of Howard Shore's symphony and oddly, KISS.
She will recruit Nilp as a backup choir, TorEstel on accordion, The Barrow Wight and Saucepan Man as dancers, and The Phantom as the face of the band.
It will flop. Miserably.

I actually spent part of my vacation looking for new sigs, and that one was near the top of my list- though I have actually had it before (maybe a year ago or so).

And since I'm here I'll make a prediction.

Not in the next game, but the one after that- the phantom will return to the world of werewolves.

As part of his "great songs in my signature" series, the phantom will have these immortal lyrics there:

His fanbase will suddenly consist only of pre-teen girls. The forum will be filled with bitter and cynical people who lament about backstabbers, betrayal and "the people you have to deal with these days".

The Barrow-Wight will be furious, because it's four lines long instead of the required three. Also furious, because his favorite line is then edited out.

BW laments in his blog, saying he wants to go hide in a cave somewhere. He does so, and nobody can convince him to come out. His friends all call him a "stick-in-the-mud" and don't want to spelunk with him anymore. Fortunately, he has taken a laptop with him. His iTunes playlist is filled with the likes of Enya, AC/DC, Biff Rose, Leon Russell, and every night Argent's "Hold Your Head Up" is blasted out the mouth of the cave.

The phantom and Fea will meet. Phantom will be extremely disappointed to discover that Fea is actually an overweight balding man with acne who can whistle with his bellybutton. TP leaves in disgust and despair, but Lhuna is smitten.

Nilp, Alice and Adam beat Pseudo-Fea down and kill him. Lhuna swears revenge and wages eternal war against her brother. The entire CbC forum is on her side, but Nilp keeps the Quiz Room. Mirth is not able to decide between the two, and they hide in the hills of N&N. Lhuna pronounces a curse on them, and whenever the phantom lynches one of the Cursed, they turn into Werewolves and start to argue about which chapter is the most important.

THE Ka's work "The Jester" is noticed by a very influential art critic, and eventually ends up in the Louvre and becomes the eighth wonder of the world, reckoned only after André the Giant.

Enca, while walking down the street in her hometown, is recognized as the face of the Jester, and becomes one of those high-society types gorging herself on wine and cheese. She eventually dies due to a tin of bad caviar.

Because the Barrow-Wight is sick and tired of messing with peoples signatures, he lays down the law and the 250 character limit is lowered to 4 CPS. An exception is made for the phantom, on the condition that he has the entire lyrics to "My Heart Will Go On".

Twelve people now have "OMFG" as their signatures. "waah" is also very popular. TGWBS is crushed because he discovers the word "Quenya" has six letters, not four.

The "Best Signature" thread turns into a list where people list all the four letter words they know. After sixteen posts in a row by The Squatter of Amon Rûdh, the thread is closed down.

Nilp and Lhuna finally meet on the hill of Active Users. The battle is terrible, but before the moment that one of them could take to become the victor, Meneltarmacil appears throwing lightning bolts, killing them both.
Later, their names are ever there on the active users list, albeit they are said to be "Viewing Thread: The Halls of Mandos".

Now it was said that Newbie91 joined the Barrowdowns in the summer of 2008, Seventh Age, and immediately he began to post nonsense and nonesuch, and the Mods and Admins were not able to contain him, such were his h4c|<312 s|<yllz. And lo, he posted his fifteenth "Balrog Wing" thread in Gondor, and as he did so he passed the Cave of Théitoons Shôffl, and lo again! a deep and ghostly voice sang strange things to him:

"Met a girl, thought she was grand..."

And again I say lo! for a ghostly green ghoul floated out of the cave, and Newbie91 was consumed, for the Wight was emaciated with hunger. And there was much rejoicing. *yay*
