Fortunately, the Orcs had given up on the idea of a motorised Orodruin and decided to pour the lava they had been using as fuel back into the magma chamber... where the ring was.

Fortunately a big fight erupted over it and all the Orcs in the area killed each other off.

Unfortunately, the Nazgul flew in to break up the fighting, and in so doing found the Ring.

Unfortunately after the Barrow-wight threatened to kick them off the forum he took the Ring to Sauron.

Fortunately, Sauron was so occupied playing Werewolf, he didn't even notice the Ring, and so it just sat there beside him.
