Hi, I'm Anguirel and I'll be performing Maedhros Dylan's smash hit soul-wail Shelter from the Oath, performed on a Noldorin harp with several percussionists in the background representing different Sons of Feanor. Without further ado:

Not a sword was slung between us, there was little risk involved
Everything up to that point had been left unresolved.
To rescue and to heal valiant Fingon isn’t loth.

I was burned out from Utumno, buried in the hail,
Chained about and tortured an' hung out o’er the trail,
Hunted like a Petty-Dwarf, as they later quoth.

Suddenly I turned around and he was standin' there
He saw my iron bracelet and to defy them he’d dare
He flew right up on Thorondor, without some feeble moth

Now there's a wall between us, somethin' there's been lost
I took too much for granted, and Ulfang double-crossed.
Just to think of his deep cloven helm inspires sorrow’s growth.

Well, Curufin works on hard knives and Celegorm rides a mount
But nothing really matters now, it's doom alone that counts
And Amras, Amrod, hunters, they felt futile wroth.

I've heard babes lost in woods wailin' like a mournin' dove
And Caranthir in anger, stranded without love.
Do I understand your question, Elf, our hopeless plighted troth?

In a little hilltop fortress, Maglor and I grew cold
I bargained for a Union and I caught us in Doom’s fold.
I wanted independence but I got me no Arbroath.

Well, I'm livin' in the grey Halls but I'm bound to cross the line
Beauty cut me sorely, when I tried to make it mine.
If I could only turn back the clock to a fiery, headstrong youth

I agree, you did a wonderful job. Great presentation, perfect song for your voice. You had everything working for you with that performance, very refreshing. Its a yes from me.

That was a very hard song to sing and I wouldn't really expect someone to sing it in the auditions. I think you made a mess of it, you were all over the place and now I don't mean to be rude but I don't think you had any idea what you were doing, did you even practice? Its a no from me. Glirdy?

I'm going to have to disagree with...Cowell over there. You took a really hard song and gave it your all. You've got the showmanship and got great talent. I do agree with him on the fact that it seemed like you didn't reherse it at all. But, if you promise me that you'll do better in the next round, it will be a definite yes.
