Top Ten Signs You're Addicted to Werewolf

18 days from playing in a ww-game and 10 from modding one... And you alredy feel that something important is missing from your life and you enviously stalk other people's game and read thorugh who has signed in an upcoming game. And it will maybe take nearly two months 'til I get to werewolf again... I don't even wan't to know what is my mental condition like then...

Okay, Mith: When you very seriously consider (at least for a few seconds) adding an apostrophe to your name due to conversations with Formendacil and TGWBS wherein you realize that the meaning of L'aura (the glowing light) is way cooler than the meaning of Laura (laurel-crowned).

You think of World Cup teams in terms of their Downer supporters... i.e., England is Sauce, Germany is Esty, Brazil is Morm, etc. |

When you set up elaborate e-mail contingency plans with other members to keep you informed about Downs happenings on the chance that you won't be able to access the forum for a while.

When deciding how Celuien's name is supposed to be pronounced is the intellectual feat of the day... When you start thinking that "Nogrod" must mean something in Finnish...

Well, I think I can blame this on Latin and Italian... but I've found myself saying "Chel-oo-ien". But the Tolkienist says "No, blockhead, you have to use the Elven Hard C." So I alternate with "Kel-oo-ien". And then there's Joe Bloe's English: "Sel-oo-ien". Yup. Addicted.

On a serious thread you first write Mount Doom as Mt. Zoom, and only when rereading the post you notice the mistake... And I wasn't even involved in the Mt. Zoom challenge.

Eww to the double post, but: When you're flicking through the music channels and get very excited at the caption; "Oasis Live at Barrowdowns". However, as you joyously point this out to your father he gives you a despairing look, and you realise that in fact is says; "Oasis Live at Barrowlands." I was bitterly disappointed.

When all of your friends has The Barrow-Downs as a "bookmark" and they did not make it one them selves. . . (it makes it easier for me to take a quick look at what is going on) |

The whole "you know you're addicted to the Barrow-Downs when you only have 'Downers on your MSN list" has been done before... but I sadly never realized how true this was for me until I organised my contacts into categories yesterday (for the first time). The breakdown was, as follows: 'Downer Girls: 9 'Downer Guys: 5 Not 'Downers: 5 But if you want to know what's REALLY pathetic about that... of those five "Not-Downers" (and yes, those are the categories I named them and moved them into), one is a sibling, and so doesn't count- and Two of them are people who are friends of 'Downers. Had it not been for the 'Downs and the people THEY chat with... well, my stats for non-'Downers would look even worse. Really, it's just... sad. It's also a sign of addiction when your favourite newspaper is "The Downer".

Another sign could be that you have The Barrow Downs set as your home page. Also, (I realised this today) when you sort your history by most visited, The Barrow Downs come far, far above the others. Moreover, your main disappointment in not going to Oxon moot is that you wont get to meet some Downers.

Is isn't really about addiction of the barrowdowns, but... You know you're addicted when you wake up from a nap snuggled close to a copy of the Silmarillion as if it were a plush animal, but you have to admit it was some pretty good sleep.

...when you start thinking in Philosophy class: "hey! that person reminds me of so-and-s0"- from the Barrowdowns. My Philosophy class has: a "Feanor of the Peredhil" a fat "Rune son of Bjarne" an "Anguirel" a "Kath" Of course, this couldn't stay contained in Philosophy... it had to spread to English and Art History as well... English has: an "Encaitare" another "Anguirel" a "Valier" Art History has: a "The KA" a "Bêthberry" (actually, that's the teacher...) a "Mithalwen" a "the guy who be short" It's an addiction, I fear...

Well it keeps happening, I start complaining about something in my head in a disjointed 'argh' type fashion, and then it becomes a properly worded 'What do you assign to Mordor' post. Hard to explain actually, but there is a clear difference.
