She resisted and resisted
like many brave souls before her resisted.
She resisted the tortures of the minions of the 'Downs
called Lommy and Noggie with their old soldiers' bony gowns.

But eventually she gave in
to the calls of the vermin.
Her soul was broken
and a nic was the token
she was left
with her death.

Just a name to present
she bowed and went
to join the Barrow Downs!
