I agree with Arwen_Evenstar. LOTR shouldn’t come before friendship but friends should be willing to accept your interests. Everyone is different!
I, personally, am lucky – most of my friends don’t have a problem with LOTR. But, just try and accept each other’s differences, that’s all. OK, so that’s my bit of advice.
