[The Saucepan Man]

In honour of this forthcoming great event Sergeant Saucepan's Barrow Downs Club Band has composed (read plagiarised [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] ) the following little ditty.

*Ahem*

(To the tune of Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite)

For the benefit of Mr Wight
There will be a party, right
On the Downs.

The Haunted Spirits will be there.
In formal Middle Earthy wear;
Elven gowns!

With Mods and Admins, food and drink,
Awards for the worthy few - a real treat;
In this way for its birthday we honour the Downs.

The worthy Mr Mithadan
Has called us all to come on down
To celebrate.

The Party-fiends will dance and sing
And snack on sautéed Balrog’s wing.
Don't be late!

Messrs B and M assure us all
That this party will be second to none
And, of course, Pan of Sauce dances the waltz.

The fun begins at dead on nine
When Mr M will give a sign
To start the rave.

And Boromir the Disco King;
Will strut and groove his funky thing
Do the wave!

It being some days in preparation.
A splendid time is guaranteed for all
On the night Mr Wight is topping the bill.
